"Your side of the room is going to drive me crazy, then! I might need a blind fold!" She laughed, mainly because she wasn't joking. Sonja didn't find organizing her room much of a hassel, but more of a way of life, without it she would be driven insane. She shrugged. "Eh, to each his own, I guess. Just don't make me come over there and clean!" She grinned, while reaching into her suitcase for the next poster. This time, her Led Zeppelin poster came out. Up it went, above her desk. She frowned at the wall. "I really need a cork board or something." She went back to scoping out her side of the room for which poster would look best there. She knew her Das Racist poster and her Joy Division poster still needed to be put up.
Sonja thought back to the only time she ever rode Henry anywhere except a riding ring. She went on a trail ride, and Henry spooked at just about everything, including the bushes being blown in the wind. "I might need to borrow someone else's horse or something... Henry, being an ex-racehorse and all, is pretty flighty, so he doesn't really do well on trails." She gave a half smile, wishing her Henry was a tad bit less high strung.
She reached into her suitcase, and under the two posters, were a few framed photos of her and her family, and her and Henry at various shows. She smiled and placed them atop her desk. She smiled at Snow's comment on her Metallica poster. "Thanks. You a fan?"

"Oh, don't worry! I'll keep my side of the room clean, and I doubt you'll hardly have to blind fold yourself!" Snow laughed at the thought, hoping that she didn't drive her roommate out with her unorganized trait. But, nevertheless, maybe she would make it a point to try a little harder to keep her things a little more organized, if only for Sonja, since they were going to be sharing a room after all. Odd, she never thought about the things that would come if she ever got a roommate. Well, she'd find out now! At least it's been a pretty good start for the two; no arguing over anything! Now that was a plus. "I'll try my best to keep things decently organized though." She shrugged before flopping on her bed and started staring at the ceiling.
She sat up then, growing a little restless from just laying on the bed like that, and continued to watch as Sonja continued about her work on her side of the room. She looked at all the posters, not having a clue of what half of them were, but, they didn't bother her in the slightest bit. "Oh that's too bad," she commented. "But I guess you really can't help that, huh?"
Looking back at the Metallica poster, she shook her head. "Nah, not really. I mean, I've heard a couple of their songs, but it's not really my taste in music. I'm more of an r&b type of person." She tilted her head, smiling.

"Ah, r&b, huh? Try me. I bet I like some of the artists you like!" Sonja had always had a wide music taste. Songs on her ipod range from Tyga to Led Zeppelin, and over to Whitechapel and back to Beethoven. Liking different types of music is a conversational piece to her, and it was proving itself here in her conversation with Snow.
After putting the last of her posters up, Sonja put her suitcases to the side of the wardrobe. "I think I'm about finished!" She flopped down on her bed and lay there, relaxing and imagining how happy she would be when she tacks Henry up and hits the cross-country course. "So, when my horse gets here, do you want to go down to get him with me? I'm going to need a few extra hands to help me put all of my tack and stuff away." She shrugged.
She figured she better get to know a little bit more. "So, tell me about yourself! " She liked getting to know people. "Myself, I was born in Germany, and moved to New York when I was quite young. Thats where I get the funny accent from. I'm a New Yorka! " She grinned and raised her eyebrows inquizativley at Snow.

A smirk came to Snow's lips at the mention of some of the artist she listened to. "Well let's see now..." She tapped her finger on her chin as if she really had to think about it, and when she was ready to speak, she brought her hand back down and rested it on her lap. "I listen to Maxwell a lot, as well as Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder... Oh, and my personal favorite, Usher." She grinned at the last artist she called. "But I mean, r&b isn't the only type of music I listen to; I like a lot of pop, as well as some rock mixed in there." She rubbed the back of her head, smiling meekly.
At the mention that she was finished packing, Snow took another look around the place, nodding her head in appreciation. "Yeah, I'd be up for that. Always here to help!" A small laugh came from her mouth. "I can't wait to meet him!" Speaking of horses, she had to go see if Skippy was there at some point. "I'm probably going to go down to the barns sometime later today to check up on Skippy though. You're more than welcome to come if you like." She shrugged.
Another smirk graced her lips. "I thought your accent sounded like you were from New York. Pretty cool though. I bet that city was busy, huh?" She nodded her head. "Now about me... Well, I was born and raised in Albion, Michigan on a farm with my parents. They're pretty cool, and that's how I got into horses; my mom's a western rider too. Hmm... I played tennis while I was there, did rodeos alongside my mom, and got into a little trouble here and there." She grinned a little. "Nothing too 'different' happened in my life when I was there, with the exception of being offered to come here, but, you know." She shrugged.

She smiled as Snow mentioned some of the artists she listened to. As expected, Sonja knew most of them. While she wasn't a huge R&B fan, she still has time to appreciate it for what it is. "Ah, Stevie Wonder. He's great! Not much of an Usher fan myself, though." She shrugged and gave a goofy grin. At the mention of the other genres Snow liked, she immediately wanted to talk about them. " What kind of rock?"
She was glad Snow invited her to come meet her horse. "Yeah, sure, that sounds great!" With that, Sonja sat down on her bed. She was basically done unpacking and organizing. Now she had time to relax. "So, whats your class schedule like?" She wanted to see if they had any classes together, because having her in her classes would make school a heck of a lot easier. "I'm personally excited for my government class."
Any time someone mentioned her accent, they always made the mistake of assuming she was from New York City. She's never been there. "From what I've heard, New York City is crazy busy! But I've never been. I'm from the west side of the state, in Yonkers. Beginners mistake, though!" She grinned at her, trying not to insult her or anything. Yonkers was a completely different world than New York City, and Sonja could only imagine the bustling of the city. "Wow, that's really cool that you've been in a rodeo! I bet its a thrill, huh?"

Snow nodded her head in agreement, a grin coming across her lips again before she sat up a little straighter in bed, sighing a little. “Yeah, he really is great. Love his music.” Growing up with the parents she did, it was no wonder why she liked r&b music more than anything, if only because that was all they listened to. Not that she complained about it or anything for that matter. “Nothing too heavy or anything like that, you know? I don’t really listen to heavy metal or screamo music. Kind of bothers me in a way…” The thought made her laugh a little before she shook her head. “But I do listen to Paramore a little, as well as Linkin park. But, those two are about the only ones that I actually listen to.”
She nodded her head, happy that Sonja actually wanted to meet her horse, though, being at a school with horse lovers like herself, she wasn’t really all that surprised by the fact. But still, it was nice, and very different from back at home. “My schedule? Well let’s see now…” She reached into her pocket and pulled out two pieces of paper, one of them being all the information, such as her room number and where Skippy would be placed at, and the other one being her schedule. She scanned the paper, her eyes moving from side to side. “It seems like a pretty easy schedule; these are all the classes I was taking back at my old school before I left. Well, that is beside the equestrian classes.” She sat at the edge of her bed then, the side closest to where Sonja’s bed was, and then tossed the paper over there. “Here, take a look at it.”
“Oh, well sorry for the mistake then,” she meekly smiled at the girl, rubbing the back of her neck, a little embarrassed at her mistake. But, she soon got over the feeling when she realized that most people thought she was from New York. At least she didn’t get angry about it, that much Snow was grateful for. “But, I guess it’s still pretty cool. What’s that place like? Never heard of it before.” Another grin broke out across her face. “Yeah, it’s really exciting! All the sights to see and all the people to meet… It can be a little overwhelming at times, especially if you’re doing more than one event, but still it’s pretty exciting.” She remembered the first time she went to one and how she felt. A little scared at first, but happy and excited nonetheless.
