Peter rushed into the room, clearly a little out of breath. He'd had a harder time finding this classroom, and it was his first day at Blue Ridge. He hoped that the teacher wasn't too mad, because he didn't want for her to have any reason to dislike him. Peter really enjoyed cooking, and usually prepared meals for himself. He'd been very excited to see that Blue Ridge offered this class, and had signed up immediately.
Scanning the room, he immediately noticed that it was a small class, with four students, and all of them were girls. He'd expected this, of course, but had hoped anyways that there would be another male there. Sighing lightly, he made his way over to the teacher. "Hello, I am Peter Holden. I'm new at Blue Ridge, so I may not be on your list...I'm very sorry for being late." he apologized.
Looking back at the girls, it looked as if they were making something good, and he smiled, knowing that if there was still time for him to cook today, it would probably be a fine time, and make some excellent food for someone. The room already smelled delicious.

Carlos walked down he hall at a sedate pace. He was a little... well, a lot late, but he had gotten lost -again- as he still had not learned the campus, and he hoped the teacher was understanding, or at least, forgiving. The teen shuddered to think that the teacher may be extremely tough or hateful, but so far, his experiences with the teachers and instructors here at BRRA had been nice.
The teen had nothing big with him, as it was a cooking class and he assumed that there would be little to no need for paper and pen, though he did have a pocket notepad and a lead pencil in his pocket, if need be. Carlos stopped walking just outside the door to the class and took a breath before knocking gently and walking on in... hesitantly. He paused just inside the door and glanced around, spotting mostly girls at first before landing his eyes on the only other male taking the class... for the moment.
A faint grin graced his face and he glanced to the teacher again, walking up to her.[color=teal "I'm sorry to be late."[/color] He said in his lilted english. "I am Carlos Rodriguez." With that he moved to grab an apron and then headed to the table the other boy was at. "Do you mind if I work here, with you?" He asked, giving the other boy a half-embarassed, mostly hopeful grin. He didn't mind working with one of the female students, but still...

Cymilla, Peter can't pick the recipe up as he walks into the room, she put them at the two counters that would be used, so the others would be on the desk with her. This is why it's important to read at least the teacher's posts when you are coming in late. Just before a student entered the room, Megs' phone sounded. The young cooking teacher shook her head as she looked at it, making note of the impending arrival of another student. She gave a silent chuckle as the boy walked in and approached her bench. "Welcome to my class, Peter. You may find this funny, but with the invention of cellular phones, we teachers get pretty quick updates on our student lists." She handed the boy one of the recipes and nodded over to one of the empty counters. She looked passed the boy as another male entered the room and she waited for him to also approach her bench before she continued. "Welcome, Carlos." She handed the other boy a recipe as well. "You don't have time to do any cooking today, so you can either go and ask on of the other groups of they need any help, or you can just go and wait at the counter over there." She wasn't mad at either of them for being late, things like that happened when you were new to a school, but as the class was three quarters of the way through and the girls were already putting their macaroni cheese into the ovens, the boys just didn't have time to catch up. "Just for the next class, you will need a recipe folder to put the recipes and notes I give you, and so that you can take your own notes and create your own recipes."

Cortney drained the cooked pasta while Miranda fried up the vegetables, the girl inhaled the scent of the cooking vegetables. She then left the pasta in the colander over the sink, letting the last of the water drip out, shaking it every now and then to stop the contents from sticking together into one ugly mass of carbs.
She finished the sauce, adding a sieved teaspoon of mustard powder into the warm sauce and mixed it again before she added half of the grated cheese. "Are they ready?" She asked her cooking buddy as she stirred the pasta into the sauce and then added the cooked vegetables. After mixing all of the contents together, she poured it into the oven-proof dish and sprinkled the remaining cheese over the top.
Carrying it to the oven, she turned the knob to make sure that it was up to temperature and then slid the dish onto the middle of the oven and put the timer on for twenty minutes. "Right, dishes and then we eat!" She cheered as she began to empty the sink of the dishes before she turned the hot water tap on and pushed the plug in.
After they had washed, dried and put the dishes away, it was time to take their creation out of the oven. "There's more than enough to share." She spoke up, offering an invitation over to the two boys who had joined the class late. Before waiting for their reply, she dished the macaroni cheese up into four bowls and put a spoon into each bowl.
She offered one to Miranda. "I'll let you have the first try. That way if you keel over, I'll know not to eat it." She giggled as she turned back to the pantry and pulled out the tomato sauce and squirted some onto her bowl before putting the sauce away, stirring the contents of her bowl, and popping a spoonful into her mouth. "Ohmigod, that is so good."
