Running like mad out the front door of the blue ribbon house, Florence made a panicked rush down the side walk and a cross the campus in search of the arena where she was supposed to have been twenty minutes ago for her first mounted games class.
Mentally kicking herself as she skidded down a hill covered in damp grass the lanky young Welsh whimpered slightly, hoping she wouldn't get into too much trouble for being this late to her first mounted class.
You see, she had mis-set her watch the day before to match her change in time zones. So instead of going straight to the arena she had allowed herself to go back to the stables, hoping that her own mount Titus would be here to visit before she had to leave again. However her disappointment of not finding her gelding there waiting for her was only added to when she happened to notice that the clock in the tack room was read what the time actually was.
Cursing just under her breath when she almost tripped on a stray stone left on the lawn Florence finally reached her destination, finding that the class was already well in session with other students already with their mounts. Warming them up and helping the ponies stretch out by walking or trotting them around the arena.
Florence hung back behind the gate pacing, her eyes scanning for the instructor while she meekly toyed with the zipper of her black hoodie that she wore over a neon blue turtle neck sweater and black breeches. She even took a moment to reach up and take out the equally bright pink bow clips to readjust them, using them to keep her (blond today) hair out of her face. Hopefully it wouldn't look too bad that she was late if she didn't look like she had just rolled out of bed.
