D29 - Welcome Home ((River Phoenix))

Calvin sighed as he climbed the stairs up to his room. He had just arrived at the academy, and although he really just wanted to head down to the barn, he knew he should probably un-pack and see the dorm first.

There was a click as he slid his key into the door and turned it sharply to the right. He gently pushed the door open and was suprised to see that he was in the dorm room first. He had been told that he would be sharing his room with another guy named River Phoenix. Calvin quickly examined the room. It had two beds a fair distance apart. As well, there were two armours, one for each person. He then found the bathroom which was connected to the room. It had two sinks, a shower, and a porcelain toilet in it. Overall the room was nice.

Calvin stuck his two suitcases on the bed before he started to unzip one. He choose the bed farthest from the door and closer to the window, which overlooked the pastures and one of the barns. Calvin stuck all of his clothes neatly away in the armour, before sticking the black suitcase under the bed and moving onto the smaller suitcase. Inside it had all of his hygene products such as toothpaste. He moved on into the bathroom and un packed his smaller bag. He stuck all of his stuff in the bottom drawer and decided that he was finnished.

Sticking that suitcase also under the bed her decided to take a shower. He felt dirty and wanted to have a quick shower, before he got all his school supplies set up for the next day.

River mumbled and grumbled all the way up to his dorm after he heard the news that he was going to have a room mate. He was not looking forward to the idea of living in a dorm, nevermind having to share it with someone. River was the type of guy who was used to his space being his. At his fathers house, he occupied the entire basement… And there was a lot of space down there, including his own mater sized suite, his own bathroom with jacussi, bar, large screen TV. River had the works where he was living, and now he had to downsize to a little dorm, with none of the luxuries he was used to.

River was so lost in his thoughts that he just about walked past his dorm room. He had only brought two suitcases with his on this trip to the dorm, he was going to have to return to his truck after and get the rest of his stuff. His father thought he was craxy bringing the amount of stuff that he was bringing, but River couldn’t bear to leave much behind.

River walked into the room and noticed that his half the room was occupied by someones stuff already, and behind the door, he was going to assume was the bathroom, he heard the shower going off. ‘Might as well get unpacked’ River thought to himself wondering what his room mate was going to be like. He prayed to God they were going to get along, otherwise this was going to be a very long year.
River managed to unpack one suitcase of clothes into the armour. He still had one more in his truck, but he opened up his second suitcase, filled with his egyption cotton sheets, and comforter, and started making his bed as he waited for his roommate to finish his shower.
