Madison was excited for the new found concept of basketball, though while physics wasn’t her best point it was a better way to think about the science. She wasn’t actually terrible at physics; it was most likely her best science subject. Madison had to work hard for all her grades; it wasn’t ever easy for her. She wasn’t dumb, just subjects like science and math didn’t come easy to her. English was enjoyable and government was interesting for the most part. Madison knew that school was mandatory and would impact her future greatly but as far as she was concerned it was a back-up plan, horses were where she belonged. Madi was determined to make it in the industry; it was what she loved and not even all the money in the world could duplicate that. Madison knew she was made to be in the industry, it was an irreplaceable feeling and dream. Smiling to Cannon her mind reverted to basketball, and then their conversation. He liked school, that was a good thing – well for him at least. Perhaps he could lend her a hand with physics in the future, heck from the sounds of it he could probably answer most of her school related questions. He did have a weakness after all, English - something Madi was actually somewhat successful at without hitting the books too hard.
“That’s cool, I can fairly say I am not a fan of school. If I had to pick something that wasn’t horse related maybe Government or English - I wish I was better at physics, it’s interesting!”
She watched him retrieve the ball and smiled, back to the game. She wasn’t so worried about it anymore, the ice had broken on the situation, she was comfortable with Cannon – not that she had ever really been uncomfortable. Something she was good at, it was her comfort zone and most of her conversations either started or finished with horses – she couldn’t help herself as she had yet to interact with someone on the campus who didn’t ride. Riding was the reason most students were sent here, pulling her pony tail righter she smiled again and her tone hit the air – good natured.
“Aside from physics and basketball what else do you do around here? I’m assuming you might ride too?”

She seemed to take that news pretty well, seeing as how she didn't scoff at him, or laugh at all. Maybe she'd be cool with it. Why did he care, though? It wasn't like they were really friends... yet at least. He'd have to wait and see, though he had a feeling that he might just be her friend in a short time. For now, they could be basketball buddies.
He laughed at her response and shook his head. "Well, school seems to be a hard thing for most people to like, so I guess you're the majority there. As long as you find it interesting, I don't think you should be all that worried. It'll come easily to you once you understand it more in everyday use. Like this one. This is what really helped me." He said to her with a nod, tossing the ball up at the hoop again and hearing it knock off the backboard lightly before falling through the hoop again. "It finally clicked once I picked up a basketball." He said to her with a small smile.
He looked to her as she asked a question and raised his eyebrow before responding, a smile creeping across his face again. "Well I would sure hope so, otherwise the parentals would be paying a whole lot of money for something I could get free back home." He laughed to her. "What disciplines?" He asked her, assuming she rode as well, since there'd be no point in coming to Blue Ridge unless you rode, and were good... or rich... that could work too.
