English - Eventing Show Name - Wishing Basket Barn Name - Wisher Breed - Akhal-Teke Color - Bay Gender - Gelding Age - 7 Years Old Personality - Wisher is a very sweet young boy but still very "hot", due to his breed and his age. He's quiet most of the time but occasionally he will have a spazz but its nothing like a crazy horse, just a small bratty fit. Disciplines - Wisher cover's Dressage at First Level, he does very well at it and seams to enjoy every second. Out with jumping he currently only jumps 2 feet because when jumping he gets a little hot. He can't pick his pace, he goes fast them slow then fast, he also doesn't always want to take a jump so he will refuse. Wisher is still learning but he maybe a better as just a Dressage horse. Picture: Show Name: Irish Star Barn Name: Star Age: 5 Gender: Mare Color: Black Breed: Dutch Warmblood Height: 15.3 hh. Personality: Irish Star is very sweet and gentle, she hardly ever acts up around other people and horses. On her off days though she can be alittle bit nasty. Star often likes to try and unlatch her stall doors just to be a pain. History: Star will need some work, all they know, is that her previous owner spoiled her badly. But she should shape up wonderful. Discipline: Star is trained in first level dressage, first level jumping, and only exposed breifly to cross country. With the right rider, she could go far. English- Jumping Show Name: Smooth Amaretto Barn Name: Yoda Age: 8 Gender: Gelding Color: Chestnut Breed: Holsteiner Height: 17.2 hh Personality: Yoda is a fun loving horse, with a lot of attitude. He had always been a bit stubborn for regular riding, but he is an outstanding jumper, sure to get you points in the ring. Yoda is very people friendly, just lazy when it comes to going in circles, he has a very bright mind, and gets bored easily, and when he gets bored, he get's stubborn. Yoda is also horse freindly and tends to be in the middle of a herd ranking. He is not the top dog, but isn't low either. History: Yoda was born and raised on a jumping farm in Kentucky. The people trained their horses to jump, not so much caring about what else they could do. Yoda lived in the same farm for his life, and, as a gelding, he was planned all along to be sold. It seems the timing of this auction sought the owners well, and they decided to run him through it. Discipline: Yoda is a very skilled show jumper, and would be successful in hunter jumper with the right rider.

Chuck stepped into the auction barns and looked at the selection of horses available. He didn't know exactly what he was looking for, but hopefully a younger horse, maybe a Warmblood or good Dressage horse. It was hard to judge a good horse, by just looking, but it was a skill Chuck had mastered.
Looking at the horses, he found three that he liked. A Frisian mare, warmblood mare and a Holsteiner gelding. He knew that he only had limited funds, but if need be his parents would back him, but then they would have part ownership of the horse.
Going to the auctioneer, he put in a bid of $2000 for the Frisian mare. He sighed inwardly at the thought that his whole budget was blown in the matter of a few minutes, but he gained a good horse in his personal opinion.

starring: Clinton Urban and Seth Lancaster A 65 black mustang roared into the parking lot of the auction. Slick, black sunglasses were pulled down to reveal hazel orbs on a face of charm. There weren't many things that caught the campus officer's attention in town, as he spent his days working for the academy. But, rumour had it that there was a frisian horse at this auction. Clint owned a frisian gelding and was very impressed with how the animal turned out to be. His straight blond locks fell against his face as he stepped out of the car in durango fashion boots, faded jeans, and a black t-shirt revealing the tattoo on his forearm. The officer was dressed as an ordinary citizen, well, we was to the rest of the town, his duties only applied at the academy. The native Australian walked through the doors, eyes getting used to the dim atmosphere. Hearing noise in the ring, he slowly made his way to a arena. He made it just it time to see a hammer hit the podeum and a voice yell 'Sold!' referring to a black horse. There was no doubt that was the probably the frisian he heard about. Clint cocked an eyebrow, air escaping his mouth causing his cheeks to puff up. There went that deal. Well, now that he was here, might as well look around right? The officer headed down the row of horses in small pens. His hazel eyes looked for other people he knew from the academy and his face lit up when he recognized a student, Seth. Seth was always a quiet boy. He was smart, good grades, never caused any trouble, " G'day Seth," he greeted the boy. Seth Lancaster wasn't known for riding horses, but seeing as their was an auction with some fine animals, he at least thought he could try one out. He was sure none of them would compare with Sam, however. He hadn't been here very long, and found himself agaping over a lustiano buckskin. At the sound of his name, he turned his head, green eyes landing on- he almost didn't recognize the campus officer not being in uniform, " Hi Officer Clint," he said quietly. His eyes turned back to the horse, " You here to buy a horse?" " I was," the man said flatly, " If ya snooze ya lose I guess," he shrugged lightly, his hazel eyes also staring at the beautiful creature. His dark blonde eyebrows furrowed slightly, " Don't you ride a mule?" The red head felt a grin form on his face, " Yes, I do. I just wanted to see what everyone liked about jumping horses." Officer Clint let out a small laugh and walked with the boy down to the horses that were supposed to be jumpers. The first horse they came to was a stunning sorrel. Seth rose his eyebrows seeming impressed. His green eyes read the criteria. The boy caught himself laughing at the page saying the horse could be 'stubborn' at times. They had no idea. Mules were way more so. If the next animal hadn't caught his glimpse just then, he probably would have never noticed them. Turning his head, he saw a ragged looking pony, looking like wasn't treated that well in the past. She was very standoffish. Clint walked next to the boy, eyeing the pitiful looking horse as well, " A mangy pony, Poor thing," he observed and lifted it's paper, " Now why does that sound familiar," he frowned at the name. It sounded like a name that was in a show he had before. " Familiar?" Seth questioned. His small frame stood next to the officer's and he scanned the paper. The words that he saw made his mouth pop open, and a gasp escaped him, " Phenoix Rising!" he exclaimed. He quickly looked up at the mare, " This was Cara's pony! She was forced to sell her a while back." The boy explained, " I can't believe it now, she doesn't even look like the same horse." The boy could feel his heart rate speeding up a bit and he turned to look up at Clint, " We have to tell Cara before anyone buys her!"

Cara sat on the seat in the officer's car. If anyone looked into the car, the girl looked anything but comfortable sitting in the front of the car as they drove toward the fairgrounds where the auction was held.
Once the car stopped, she stepped out and waited for the officer to lead the way. "Mr Andrews is going to kill me." She said under her breath.

The drove was silent as the officer kept his hazel eyes out the front windsheild. He knew the girl was uncomfortable, riding with a man, after what she had been through. Of course, no one knew the details, just the assumpstions, and, by her legal gardian, Tony Andrews, there was a lot to assume.
The black mustang parked closely to the front door. It looked out of place compare to the big trucks with their rigs all hooked up. The car was shut off and Clint undid his seatbelt. The girl jumped out of the car fast, and Clint climbed out and locked it closed. He then began to lead the way, his footsteps hastining, seeing some horses heading into the ring. He walked down the alleyway, glancing to see if the short girl still followed him. Glancing ahead, he saw Seth, the boy was standing by the railing, "Please, just give my freind a few more minutes," he pleaded, only to have two men try and corner the mare. She was trapped in a chute made out of the panels, she couldn't kick, rear, or fight back while the halter was put on her. Her ears were flat against her head, her mouth open in fear, and to take the human's arm off any chance she got.

Cara's speed walk turned into a jog to keep up with the officer's long stride.
Her eyes followed his gaze and she stopped in mid-stride as she looked at the terrified horse who was being halter. She knew that look, and she knew what would come next. "Get your hands off my horse!" The clear words flew out of her mouth with an authority that would have startled anyone who knew her, it even started her enough to make her eyebrows shoot up.
The men with the mare looked over at the girl and shook their heads before turning their attention back to the horse they were trying to get the horse under control so that they could take her to the ring. "She's gonna go for meat for sure." One of them commented nastily.
Cara strode forward, and placed her hands on the bars of the mare's yard, but now that she had lessened the gap between her and the men, the words just wouldn't come.
The other rolled his eyes. "Listen, girlie. This horse is going to find a happy home and make a lot of dogs very happy. Why don't you keep on walking and go and find yourself a well-trained pony."
As he spoke, the other man shoved a needle into the mare's neck and emptied the syringe of clear liquid into the horse's vein. "There you go, that will quieten you down for the ring." He said.

Seth's green eyes remained on the poor horse. She was so scared, her eyes looked to almost roll in the back of her head. Hearing a voice of a girl, he quickly turned his head. He was so surprised to see Cara, and a wave of relief rushed over him seeing the officer.
Clint was also surprised at the girl's words, and he followed her up to the railing. The comments the men made were unneccessary and rude. How dare they tell a child a horse was going to the meat market. His hazel eyes watched as the syringe jabbed into the coarse coat of the mare, and within seconds, she was calm, "Gentleman," his Australian accent was calm, but stern, "I'm Officer Clint, I work for the Academy. That horse belonged to the girl, and we will buy her back, now."
One of the men moved the panel away from the mare, and her head drooped as she stood their. He sighed towards the three people at the fence, and laughed as the officer spoke, "This is a horse auction, not a police station, and why in the world would a prestige academy want a nag like this?"
"We'll send her where she belongs," the other man cut in, referring to the mare, leading the drugged mare to the gate, "Why don't you do the same? This ain't a place for flipflops and suntans."
Clint swallowed, his eyes narrowing slightly. He was never one for staring fights or arguements. They said their share of words, and it was clear they wanted that animal to go to slaughter. He looked down at the short students, "C'mon, let's go to the ring."

Cara watched as the mare transformed to a calm creature that didn't even resemble herself - even when the girl had been riding her, the mare's spirit had shone in her eyes. What had pulled at the girl's heart the most, was that when she had been speaking, the mare hadn't even flickered her ears in the girl's direction.
She listened as the men spoke and then followed the officer and Seth down to the ring. "Obviously I'm not going to be taken seriously." She said as she quickly glanced up at the officer before dropping her gaze again. "Money isn't an issue, offer them a price they can't refuse. Most meat works won't pay any more than five hundred - if that at all." Her eyes were glued on the rump of the mare they were following. She knew exactly how much the purebred horse was worth, she even had the papers to prove it at the bottom of the mare tack trunk that was back at the Academy, but that bit she left unsaid she just wanted her friend back.
