Show Name: Texas TornadoBarn Name: Tornado (Tex when he is in trouble as it's quicker to say)// aka L-A-Z-YAge: 8// Acts Like: 27Gender: Gelding// To gentlemanly its unrealColor: grey speckled// What would you call it?Breed: BLM Mustang// Was meant to be a quarter horseHeight: 16hh// don't let the giant part fool youPersonality: Tornado is actually a very sweet and trusting gelding. He does like to get nippy if fed treats too often. He is very laid back for the most part, you can pet his big 'ole head all day long. Tornado gets along fine with other horses. He does like to play, and could accidentally get too rough with weanlings. History: Tornado was a wild mustang up in Nevada. He was caught and sold at the BLM auctions in Texas as a 3 year old. A wonderful trainer used natural horsemanship with him, then sold him as a 5 year old. Tornado was sold to a man in Alabama who trained him for roping and cutting. He was also used in a reining show, but wasn't very good at it nor interested. That was a problem since that was what his new owner wanted.
Tornado was put up for sale as a 7 1/2 years old, and Chris bought him with a loan he took out for $1200. He had the horse for 6 months, then got transfered to BRRA, taking the horse along.Discipline: Western trail, roping, cuttingOwner/Rider: Chris Murphy
