Show Name: Savvy A Moment Barn Name: Sam Age: 8 Gender: Gelding Color: Sorrel Height: 15.1 hh Breed: Mule Personality: Sam is very docile and very sweet. He is not as stubborn as most mules are. He loves people, and doesn't mind other horses. Nothing really upsets this guy. He is perfect for a beginner rider. History: Sam was born and raised in Arkansas on a mule ranch. The owners bred and trained mules for western disciplines mainly. But, there was always something different about Sam since birth. He just didn't act like a western reining animal. He pranced, always looked elegant. He was broke to a western saddle and western riding, but he was never into it. He didn't listen well. The vet it town suggested to get him an English rider. He said the mule was bored, and probably wanted to jump. The owners of course, didn't think he was right, they were the trainers. One day, when the husband was at work, his wife went out and put an English saddle on the mule, then slowly, tried to teach him English riding. After three hours, she brought out a big white barrel and lay it on it's side held in place by bricks. She urged Sam forward, his ears up, for once, then without hesitation, the mule flew over the barrel. Needless to say, Sam was then put up for sale. Seth's mom saw the ad, and bought him immediately. Her son had had a donkey long enough. Now he got a mule (maybe he'd actually get a horse someday) Discipline: English jumping, English pleasure, Trail Owner/Rider: Seth Landcaster
