Addison laid on her bed in her Pajama bottoms and a white tank top. She thought her pajama bottoms were cute dark red with a light red heart on the bottom of the left leg and Love written in light red on the butt. Her hair was up in a messy bun and her makeup was running. She had just finished putting on her makeup about an hour ago when her mom called to tell her the worst news ever. She was getting ready to go see Juan, she had come to really like being around him. Dixie Pride, a palomino cross breed pony had died. It was the pony that she had learned how to ride on, and now she would never see Dixie again. She hiccuped, she was 17 you think she wouldn't make such a big deal about something she knew was going to happen. Addy loved Dixie though, and she couldn't imagine never seeing her again.

Casper laid on the rug beside Addison's bed in front of her black crate. She looked over at the other side of the room where pictures and everything around it was neat. That was Addison's roommates side of the room. Casper knew she couldn't go over there, even though Sari wasn't even there. Casper's shot up as she heard a noise out side of the door she barked a low bark the hair on the back of her neck standing up.

Juan was supposed to have met Addy tonight. They were gonna go out to dinner then ride for a little while. When she didnt show up he had tried to call her but it went straight to voicemail. So he took it upon himself to go check on her. Getting into the girls dorm wasn't extremely hard most of the teachers were gone to there apartments. When he found her room he gave a light tap on the door before opening it. He could hear her dog growling. Looking at Rex he walked in Rex close behind. Rex wouldnt hurt a fly all he wanted to do was play. Juan saw Addy lying on her bed her make-up looked really bad. It looked like she had been crying. Slipping out of his flip flops he sat onto the bed next to her. She looked sad, I mean she was crying what else could she be?? Not happy thats for sure. He let his hand rest on her cheek. "Whats wrong??" He whispered lightly kissing her forhead. He looked at her all of her sadness creating a ball of confusion in his mind.

Rex emediatly ran up to Casper sniffing the dog excitedly. His tail loudly thumped against Addy's bed frame. His choclate coat glistened and he panted happily. He put his put in the air and stretched out his front paws ready to play. His paws spread out showing his webbed feet he loved to swim and it was no wonder why, he was built for it. He had on a orange collar with all his tags on it. Rabies, his insurance tag, and off course his name tag which was a blue bone with all his information on it.

Addy ignored the door opening staring at the wall where a picture of Addison hung very carefully in a golden trimmed frame that said Forever in the corner. Addison at the young age of seven sitting on a Palomino pony. It's ears pressed forward looking at the camera it almost look liked the pony was smiling. Addy was laying across the pony's neck with her arms around her, She remembered how much she enjoyed riding that pony at her young age. Juan sat on her bed, she felt a twig of embarrassment that he had to see her in such a state. He was caring with her brushing her cheek gently with his finger tips. "How could she die" She said with a shaky voice looking over at the picture of the young girl and the Palomino pony.

Casper calmed down as soon as she saw it was Juan, she had gotten used to his presence around Addison. Casper jumped up as Rex came into the room sniffing at her with his tail wagging excitingly. Casper wagged her tail being friendly as she sniffed the other dog with ease. Casper was pure white with two patches of black on her face and black spots on her white ears. You could tell she was a mixed breed. Rottie mixed with an American bull dog. She was bigger than Rex but that didn't make a difference to friends.

Juan heard her say something about dieing. He looked at the picture on the wall and assumed she was the little girl with the pony... and that the pony had passed away. "Addy... Don't be sad sweety... I mean she's in a better place now." He whispered. He wasnt sure exactly what to say. He wanted to comfort her but nothing like this had ever happened to him. A horse he was close to had never died... Atleast not that he knew of. He imagined that maybe this pony was to Addy like Rage was to him. The thought of Rage dieing killed Juan he would be destroyed if Rage just died no matter the circumstances. Looking at Addy he sat up and put his arms around her. He gently pulled her into his lap. He kissed her forhead softly. "Im sorry." He whispered. He would sit there with her all night and try to comfort her.

Rex looked at Casper she was a little bit bigger then him but not by a extreme amount. He would still love to play though. He didnt have any other dogs to ever play with so all he wanted to do was play. He wagged his tail and whinned pawing the ground, panting. He just wanted to have some fun.

Addison hiccuped thinking of the time she made her first jump on Dixie Pride. That made her cry harder all of the good times she had, had on the back of the Palomino pony. "It's not fair" She said in a high pitched voiced. Juans arms pulled her into his lap, she draped her arms around him. "I loved her so much" she cried. She hugged herself against Juans chest, she hated losing her pony. It felt better to have someone there with her though.

Casper growled, her tail wagging a mile a minute. She growled playfully launching herself against Rex and smacking him in face with her Giant bull dog paw.

Juan held her close letting her cry. He didnt know what to say or what to do. He couldnt even imagine how she felt. He just kept whispering that it would be ok. He hoped she would see that everything would be ok. He didnt want her to get depressed. He looked over at the dogs who were wrestling. Casper had smacked Rex in the face and Rex playfully nipped at one of her legs. Juan watched the two play wondering if they would be able to since Addy's saddness. "Why dont we go for a walk. Get your mind off of things." He asked. Looking at her. He definatly wouldnt take her anywhere near the barns. Probably just to let her settle down. Maybe they could walk one of the horse trails and see where it led. He wasnt sure but he would find something for them to do.

Rex had heard Addy crying and stopped playing. He looked up at Juan and Addy then back to Casper. He didnt know what to do. It was his instinct to comfort a human in need of comforting but this wasnt familar territory to him and he didnt know his boundry. Instead of jumping onto the bed and going to comfort Addy. He plopped himself on the ground and began to whine.

Addison snuggled closer to Juan and sighed tears still streaming down her cheek. "no thanks, you can go if you want i'll be ok" She hiccuped again. She pulled herself from Juans arms laying back down on her bed. She wiped her eyes and gave Juan a fake smile. " I'm fine you can go" she said. Casper jumped onto Addy's bed laying down beside Addison. She whined laying her head on Addy's arm.

Juan looked at her. "No your not ok... and im not okay with leaving you here." He said. Reaching out he patted Casper on the head. Turning to Rex he gave him a glare and snapped his fingers. Rex emediatly hushed but he stood up and walked to the other side of the bed and put his head on the edge and gave Addy a huge doggy kiss right on her face. Juan watched in pure amazment. Then busted out laughing, he couldn't beleive Rex had accually done that. He looked at his big hunk of a dog and smiled. Soon enough Rex had gotten Casper to join in, they were both licking Addy. Finally Juan called them off. "Okay guys I dont think she wants a shower in dog spit." He said chuckling. He looked at Addy with a smile on his face. "Come on. I have a suprise for you." He said. Sliding off the bed he walked to the other side and reached his hand out to help her up. "If you say no I will carry you out of the room in your adorable pajamas." He said. Then waited for her to say something.

She started laughing hysterically as the dogs ganged up on her trying to cheer her up. She pushed Casper and Rex off of the bed with a thump. Casper wagged her tail was if it was nothing at all and sat down on the rug by Juans Feet.

She stared at him as he got up and walked around to the other side of her bed. "Then your going to have to carry me because i'm not leaving." She said crossing her arms over her chest and pouting at Juan.

He had to do it. By the time she was done pouting they were both outside. Rex and Casper close behind. He carried her right to Tazz's stall. He sat her down on the ground and held her in place. "Look at that gorgous black gelding in that there stall... i bet the girl who owns him is so proud." He had his arms wrapped around her waist and his chin set on her shoulder. Kissing her cheek he sighed. "I know that the pony probably ment alot to you. You have to remember though that you still have two other horses to care for and love... Im not saying forget about the little mare, im just saying you have to move on and get on with life. Anyways that pony didnt teach you how to ride for nothing. That pony taught you to ride so you could become a champion. She knew you wouldnt rider her forever but she still taught you because she knew it was your dream.... it was her dream to train a champion, so you need to remember her as a teacher and be the champion you were made to be." He said. He didnt dare look up at Tazz he knew the gelding would have a ugly look on his face. After a minute of silence he let go of Addy. Rex was standing right infront of Tazz's stall looking up at the black gelding.
He could hear the impatient snorts of the other horses in the barn. There was also the sound of people walking in the other side. He heard Rex panting and the nightime sounds of crickets chirping and owls hooting.

"I am," She said, leaning against chest as she felt his lips brush against her cheek. Addy sighed contently turning around to rest her head against his chest. " Thank you, for everything" She whispered leaning up to press her lips gently against his.

The black gelding known as Tazz through his head up in distaste at having a man so close to his stall. He back into the corner of his stall, looking at Juan with anger flaring. He snorted in hatred. Casper walked down the isle of horses to another horse which had her head hung over her stall. She was white and black paint. She nickered towards Juan and Addison her big dark eyes watching with interest.

Addison walked over to the horse and rubbed her nose. She knew that Juan didn't about her other horse, Cross my Heart and quarter horse. Addy just called her Diamond though. She planted a kiss on the Mare's nose.

Juan looked at Tazz. "If I bought you the world you still worldnt like me.." He said glaring at the gelding. Then he calmly followed Addy to a black and white mare. Juan smiled at the mare and held his hand out so the mare could sniff it. "Well you didnt think that was ur suprise did you?? Come on we are going for a ride." He said. Taking her hand he led her into the other barn where his mare War was staying. Rex ran right up to her stall and jumped right over the door into it. All Juan could hear was a startled snort before Rex was back in the aisle. Following him came a large bay head. Juan snickered at the two, who were freinds but liked to pic on each other. "Come on Bellum. You know better." He said. Opening the stall door he let the mare walk out. She picked up a trot towards the barn entrance, Juan whistled and emediatly the mare stopped, turned around, and walked back. The mare had four white socks and a large blaze, she stood only about fifteen two. Juan grabbed the bridle off the wall and quikly put it on the mare. Once he was done he looked at Addy. "Ready??" He asked. Grabbing the Reins and mane he quikly vaulted onto the mares back. He looked down at Addy. He held out his hand to help her on.
