Eliot Spencer was not a man most would expect to be a animal lover with his rough exterior. But according to the dog in his passenger seat and the boots and spurs on his feet, he was.
He was coming to this Academy for a job. His old buddy Rylee had told him about it. Said it was a good place for a farrier and his horse and dog. With her annoyingly sweet mare Mecury and that freaky cat Thoth, she had to be really well liked or needed if they accepted her and her little circus, as he called them.
The man entered the building with these thought in mind. "Hello, ma'am. Eliot Spencer, here for registration? I'm the farrier's brother, and her partner for work, I guess you could say." In truth, Rylee was like the man's sister.

A sparkling new truck rolled down the entrance of the academy, a top notch horse trailer was pulled behind it. Sitting in the passenger seat, in a soft mesh colorful pet carrier was none other than a queen. "Mew." A soft voice called out to the lonely cab.
Soft brown eyes darted over to the passenger seat, "It's okay Precious, we'll be there soon." The man replied in a reassuring voice. Up ahead, he saw some vehicles parked in a small lot and ventured on whether to turn in or not. He decided to pull off the road, out of the way. He turned the key and the truck softly shut off. He looked down at the feline in the bag. What if it took him a long time and the truck got hot? He had sympathy for the animal, as it had very long hair. With a small shrug, he grabbed the mesh colorful tote and headed to the office. His farm boy figure looked mighty stange carrying the white, pink, and blue striped cage. Upon entering, there was a man an the front desk, so Rance took a seat by the door, setting the cage in his lap.
Betty, the receptionist, looked up as a young man walked through the door with gorgoues long hair (for a male). She smiled sweetly as his introduction, "Of course, we've been expecting you," she smiled and started to pull up his information on the computer.

Eliot smiled at Betty. "Thank ya ma'am."
Suddenly, he felt something rubbing against his leg. Looking down, a large, spotted, feral looking feline met his gaze, not anything like the tame fluffball that had entered with the other man in the lobby.
"Thoth." He growled to no one, not even the cat. The sounding of his name made the savannah cat look up and meow loudly.
"Yeah, hi. Where's your crazy owner?" "Right behind you!"
Eliot jumped, then turned to look at none other than Rylee Gorman. He chuckled and hugged the woman, then said. "One of these days, I'm gonna kill that dang cat o' yours." "Yes, right after you murder my pesterin' pony."
Eliot would never do either of those things, but it was all good fun to joke about them.
