Damien Thomas;;
The name is Damien Thomas, nothing shorter, nothing longer, nothing different. His gender is of the male variety and his age is eighteen born on the Third of March, Nineteen ninety two. He is a White American. His skinny structure is marred with many scars, and he stands at a height of six foot three inches. He has black locks that sit on his head in a greasy, messy manner which he is forced to wash by Rachel. His eyes hold a majestic blue coloring.
He is a new student to Blue Ridge Riding Academy.
What he is like...
He is a broken man. His outer shell is hard to penetrate, but when you do you get to see the real person. His life has been full of turmoil and abuse which makes him withdrawn, sad and extremely angry. His face always holds a hint of pain. He says little words, and most are to his sister who is the only person he has ever been able to relate to. When you get to know him, you see why he is like this and you cannot help but pity him. He rarely laughs, he rarely has fun. The only thing that brings him out of his own mind is his drugs. Yes, he's a drug addict. But when you read his history you will see why. Also deemed as insane by a psychologist, Damien sometimes does things that nobody can explain.
What he has been through...
He has had one of the worst lives you can imagine. A typical abusive alcoholic father and a mother who couldn't give a crap. As a young boy he had been beaten so bad that he was taken into foster care for a brief while. But then his sister was born and his parents fought for him back. Why? So he could babysit while they went and got drunk, took cocktails of drugs and then come home a beat the living hell out of their children. Well, his mother didn't but she also didn't stop his father from. His grandmother had fought and fought to gain custody of Damien and his sister but the social services just shunned her fights and left them with their parents. Damien, and fifteen tried to commit suicide, but his sister had watched him with such pleading eyes that he hurled the drugs back up. Then again at seventeen he tried but awoke in hospital, wires flowing out of him. There were two people at his side, his sister and grandmother. He decided he wasn't going to attempt to kill himself again, he was going to take his sister away and protect her. So here they are. A year later, here they are in Blue Ridge. The only possessions they have is their Clydesdale mare who their grandmother had bought them and a pony that was also bought by their grandmother and a couple suitcases. Will the town accept them? Or will their father find them? They know he's looking for them, but they are going to hide for as long as they can.
