Once called Something, this mare is now known as Maeve Aelle, a strange name combining a name from Irish Mythology, "Maeve", meaning intoxicating, and "Aelle", a Greek name, meaning whirlwind.
At least, that's the show name for this mare.
Her common name is Alina, "noble", and while she is a noble sight, standing 17.3 hh high, she's tall, elegant, and a rebel. At five years old, all her past was lost, except her name. She must have been a track dud, for no record can be found except her breeding, showing she's a pure Thoroughbred. All that's known of Alina is that she's untamable and dangerous to anyone around her, except for her rider, Alyss Madigan. Around the girl, she could almost be called a kitten, if not for her daunting size. Let it also be known that Alina's previous owners abused her severely, and was all injuries and sickness have been taken care of, she just needs to be restored to a healthy weight so that she may become a pleasure horse, or a hunter. And English horse, nonetheless. Let it also be known that Alina does not get along well with other horses at all.
Alina is a dark bay, with no white marks, and is quite fast. She doesn't have much of a fondness for anyone but her rider, and she is extremely protective of Alyss, like Demetri, who's the only other creature she accepts, even if it is rather grudgingly.
