.Marc O'Loughlin.
Full Name: Marc O'Loughlin
Nick Names: None
Student or Staff: Staff//Small Pets Veterinarian
House (if student): ---
Age: 27
Ethnicity: Scottish/Irish
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bi-Sexual
Physical Description: Marc is a good-looking male specimen. He has ice-grey eyes, piercing some would say. They are different though, with their darker lining the outside of the lighter color. His hair is a dark shade of blond, but in summer is highly sun streaked. It always varies in style, from a shaggy mop to spiky. Sometimes even fully shaved off. His facial features are defined by stubble that accents his face even more. He has a well-defined body, accentuated by a light tan. His hands which are key to his work, are piano-players hands, his fingers fine and gentle.
Marc also has a good dress sense. For work, it's always a button down shirt and slacks. He never wears a tie unless he really has too, and he takes the meaning of smart-casual to a whole new level. Everything about him screams neat, and even when covered in blood manages to somehow keep this idea. When riding, he's always in t-shirt and breeches. Some days during summer, he'll wear cut off jeans, and ride like that, but only if he feels like it.
He has a tattoo of a Celtic knot on his upper left arm, and a small red dragon on his right shoulder. He also still has faint marks on his arms, especially in the crook of his arm, where he had shot up. The have faded over the years, and can only be seen if one looks closely.
Personality: Marc is a friendly wolf in a sheep's clothing. Something about him always draws people and forces them to trust him. Watch out though, he is going to most likely use it against you. Nothing that he ever does (Out of the work place) is without some personal gain for him. He'll ask his payback later, maybe when even the person has forgotten it. He loves flirting be it male or female. His nature is just like that, but he isn't one for long term commitments and relationships. Want to send this man into a cold sweat? Just mention marriage, or even moving in together. Arrogant? Yup. Proud? You betcha! Adrenaline junkie: Hell yeah.
Before we start thinking he's all bad: Marc does have a sweet side, it's just not seen that often. He doesn't want people thinking he's weak, and well, a nancy boy. It's what he fears the most. He's people relation skills are excellent, maybe because he does put up appearances so well. His real self is known by very people, mainly his close family. Marc does have a real passion for what he does, and very little else.
His anger is still up for debate. He doesn't get angry as such, mainly just gets frustrated easily, and then has a tendency to talk louder than usual. Normally, he is a very soft-spoken individual, his honey coated vocals with that rich accent, drawing people in. His real anger is seen very rarely, and can be spotted easily. It usually involves throwing of things and his voice doesn't get raised beyond a whisper. His eyes express menace, and he straightens to his full 1.87 meters. Marc is a scary individual when angry. Really scary.
History: Marc was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is the second of three children. He has a brother two years his elder, and a sister nearly 9 years younger than him. His mother was a housewife and his father an English professor at Trinity. His mother, who is Scottish, was the ideal wife and mother. There was always freshly made meals on the table, and none of that "take away trash" as his mother said. It was as if his mother was hiding things from her boys, and in actual fact she was. Blaine, his brother, took after their mother, but Marc was his father in almost every sense, even from a young age. His father, though a brilliant professor, was a poor father. Hardly ever home, he attributed his absence to "working late". In actual fact he was having an affair. Several actually over the years. (See, Marc's commitment issues). It improved though when his sister, Angel, was born. His father did start spending more time at home, but Marc never had a real relationship with his father due to nine years of absence. It was round about this time that he started riding lessons.
Since starting school, Marc was a bright kid. He was always the first to put his hand up, always got top grades. For a while he thought that this would bring his father home, but it hardly made an impact. By the time he was a teenager, he gave up on trying to please his father, but rather went to work on keeping up his grades. Being a teenager was hard enough, but when his father upped and left when he was fifteen, Marc was shattered. Every month a support check would come, always enough for the family to sustain themselves. However, there were never letters or explanations. If it was Christmas or a birthday, then there would be something extra. Somehow, Marc felt that there was still hope for his father to return.
A year later, they still hadn't heard anything, apart from the money. Blaine got into Corpus, studying to become a lawyer. Marc,16, fell into drugs and alcohol abuse. He hid it well, his grades staying where they were. Then things started slipping. His mother was diagnosed with cancer, and Marc took strain. After all, he was the man of the house. It felt as if his whole life was slipping out his hands, and with his mother becoming progressively worse, Marc made the choice to find his father. For six months he searched in secret, knowing that Blaine would flip, and his mother would tell him to stop. He found his father all right. In Cambridge, as a professor.
Marc went there for a weekend under the pretense of a weekend away. By day he looked for his father, and by night he was doing drugs and drinking himself into a stupor. He found his father all right, and surprisingly enough his father cared. Marc, father in tow, returned home, only to find that his mother was in hospital. She had collapsed while he was at home, but luckily Blaine had been there, and not Angel. She was staying with a friend. Everyone was surprised, and Blaine knew that this might bring a change. Blaine and Marc left their father to say his apologies to their mother in silence. A day later, Azille passed on, aged 42.
Naturally, Marc blamed himself, and promised himself never to put his family though hell again. Blaine knew about his drug habits, but didn't say anything, hoping Marc would come to his senses. This made Marc feel even worse. His mourning was unseen by his family, his tears only being seen by his horses. They were the only ones he trusted enough to cry around. With their father back in their lives, there was at least some healing that could take place in this broken family. Marc graduated top of his class, and went to study veterinary science in London. It was something that he had always held a passion for, as there was always an animal/s in the house. Though a horse lover, he felt he was more suited to small animal work. Finishing his studies a year ago, with an opening at Blue Ridge, he decided to pack up his life in Britain, and move to the States.
Misc.: Something tells me that he and Chuck would be good friends =P
Face Claim/Playby: Chad Michael Murray

Registered Name: If I Should Dance
Name: Breac (means Speckled in Scottish Gaelic)
Age: 5
Species: Dog
Breed: Border Collie
Registry: BCSA
Personality: Breac is a sweet thing. He is a tad protective of his owner, but is overall very sociable. He always seems to be in a playful mood, and some days he never wants to stop playing. He is completely calm around horses, making him a perfect partner for a trail ride. He has a fascination for water, and if he even sees a pool then he wants to swim. Breac comes when called, his herding history always coming back to him.
History: Breac was bought as a pup by an Irish sheep farmer. The unique colouring of the dog was always a draw point for the farmer. As a herding dog, he was always well trained, but a freak accident caused him to break a leg when he was two. The farmer, though kind, believed an animal should work for it's food, and Breac would be given away for free to a good home. It was lucky that Marc saw the sign when he was visiting from London. Without a second thought, he drove onto the farm, and an hour later Breac was his.
