Dressed in a tracksuit - that covered a long-sleeved leotard - and white sneakers, Cara-Jean walked through the town of Blue Ridge and through the gates into the reserve. She turned around as there was a sound on tinkling bells behind her and she saw a little fluffball that went by the name Dymond running after her. She shook her head as the small cat caught up with her - who had obviously been trailing her since she had left the dorm house. "There might be dogs here." She warned the cat who contentedly walked beside the girl. "They may chase you." She shook her head at the feline again as they continued on their way.
The young teen was unsure why she had come to the reserve. She hadn't come here to play ball, nor had she come to take a pet for a walk - contrary to the popular belief of the creature walking with her.She had needed some place to think, some place that she did not often frequent though.
She also knew the risks of leaving the campus. Out here she was all alone, out in the open, available to the eyes of anyone who wanted to be watching her - including Tony Andrews. She shook her head to remove the negative thoughts and almost fell over the cat as Dymond took off across the grass after some moving shadows - which were just that, shadows of the branches that had been caught by the wind.
Following the feline across the grass, Cara then took a trail that led between the tall trees that grew in the reserve. She was following a well traveled path, so she guessed that it would eventually lead to somewhere. "You coming, Mo?" She asked the cat who had found a stick and was rolling on the ground gnawing on it until it made a loud snap and the feline jumped backward with her back arched and ears flat. Cara laughed as the cat meowed in complaint before following the girl along the path.
She soundlessly followed the path as it wound around and between the trees. Closing her eyes she drew in a deep breath of the flora and fauna that surrounded her. Listening carefully she could pick out each individual sound of the birds as they chattered to themselves and each other high in the trees. "I am glad they are all the way up there and you are all the way down here." She told the cat who meowed again. "You are a very opinionated feline."
The girl turned as the wind caught a pile of leaves making them rustle. This had also caught the attention of the cat as she went into stalk-mode - head down, bum up - and wiggled her rear end three times before she leaped into the middle of the pile of leaves, scattering them everywhere as she attempted to attack all of them at once. Dymond quickly grew bored of the leaves and walked back to her human as she shook each paw in turn to remove any lingering leaves, not noticing the three that were caught under her collar.
