But, his father has never been able to grow out a beard, it is always too patchy and never full. For the most part, Colby's face is very portional, and he seems attractive to most females. He has deep blue eyes and light brown hair, with a touch of gold, or red, depending on the light.
Personality: As far as personality goes, Colby seems pretty stoic to most people. He is a dark mystery that people want to solve, so they seem to befreind him easily. Colby is not a standoffish person persay, he is just rather quiet and mature for his age. He is very smart, and tends to put school work before play, which is different from a lot of teenagers his age.
Colby is in general, a quiet person. His tone is normally a low tenor sound when he speaks. He talks when he has something to say. Most words that leave his mouth are honest and sincere. People see him as a person they can trust secrets with. Colby also doesn't judge people on appearance. He just wasn't raised that way.
History: Colby was born on January 5th, 1994 in northern Nebraska. His father was a preacher, as well as a farmer. They had over three hundred acres of land producing corn. His mother was a house wife. She would clean the house, prepare breakfest, dinner, and supper, and tend to the farm animals. When Colby was born, she also became a school teacher, as Colby was home schooled.
Before Colby could walk, he would be sitting in his father's lap as the big green tractor went around and around the fields planting, plowing, or harvesting. A grin could never be swept from his face. When he was four or five, he would get up in the morning with his mother and help gather fresh eggs from the chickens. They also sold some to people who lived in town, wanting fresh produce. Next, all of the farm animals would get fed. Colby's father always had a pair of mules on the farm. The mules could ride, and pull a cart. This way, of the tractor ever shut down, the family could still make a living. Colby loved the two mules. Their name's were Molly and Johnny. The boy would giggle when his mom set him on their barebacks.
Colby worked on the farm, did his school work on the kitchen table, and occasionally went into town with his mother. He had a very quiet childhood. When he turned thirteen, he decided he wanted his own horse. His father however, wouldn't hear of it. He said they were worthless, and too spooky and untrustable. Colby was very downhearted. He had made some friends who rode horses and had their own club, but they said mules weren't allowed, and that was all Colby had to ride. One day, Colby went into town with his mother. They were in the bank when the boy overheard two men talking about fox hunting on mules. Colby couldn't stop himself as he walked over, and joined the conservation with great interest. The next day, he would be able to watch the sport, and even ride an eventing trained mule.
From there on, Colby fox hunted at the riding stable. However, no foxes (or even coyotes) were killed. It was just for fun seeing who could keep up with one the longest. Colby finally got his own mule trained for eventing when he turned fifteen. His parents had seen the boy's love and talent for riding, and they knew the farm life wasn't for him. Hearing about Blue Ridge, and the promises it offered to succesful business in the equine industry, they knew they had to let their son go.
