.:THE STUD STALLIONS:.

The following horses are available for breeding to your mares, but like with anything, a few rules do apply =]

1. Each horse has a stud fee, so please make sure that you have enough money to have your mare covered by your chosen stallion.

2. If your mare has a colt, then it must be gelded at the age of six months, unless it is being sold on at this age.

3. Please note: Unless you are breeding the same breed of horse, that there might not be a breed registry for the foal.

4. I will also be deciding the foals stats, based on the stallion/mare pairing. Please don't argue with me on this point.

5. Please note how many mare's each stallion is allocated. If the spots are filled, then please find an alternate stallion or wait until the next breeding season comes around.

6. Breeding seasons are every alternate season. BREEDING IS NOW OPEN!

If you do want your mares covered by a certain stallion, send a PM to Cara AND myself. Cara will deduct the money from your account and I will add you to the list =]

The Personality
Personality: Dunked is one of those stallions that have a hard crust on the outside and a smooth, chewy centre on the inside. He only pretends to be tough, but once broken through and bonded with, he's such a sweetheart. He's really a pleasure to have at stud and is a real gentleman with the mares. To ride, he does get a bit hot, but will do anything to really harm his rider. There is something about his personality that make people fall in love with him immediately. He isn't a one person horse and he does love attention.

The History
Basic History: Dunked was born on a racing stud just outside of Lexington. His bloodlines were fairly unknown, his dam never much of a winner on the track and his sire an obscure five year old. On the track, he did make an impression, having forty starts of which he won 27. An injury in his four year old stage put him to stud, but despite his remarkable performance, he was never much of a stud stallion. He was bought at the age of five and retrained to show- jumping. He took to it like a duck to water and slowly moved up the ranks. He ended up in an auction where he was bought and is now standing at BRRA.

Personality: Mod is one of those stallions who needs a firm and loving hand. He is highly stubborn and doesn't wish for someone to dictate him. If he doesn't want to do something, then he just won't do it, and no amount of coaxing will get him to do it. He has almost impeccable stable manners, but does need a watchful eye when covering the mares.

The History
Basic History: Mod was born at the Lippizaner State Stud. His career blossomed and he was exported to the States. An injury in his tenth year forced him to retire and become no more than a pasture ornament and stallion. An accidental covering made his owners realise that he was actually a good stallion for Warmblood or Thoroughbred cross, his offspring springy and athletic. He has been at BRRA since the Academy was opened.

Personality: Sammy is one of a kind. His kind and gentle eye makes people think that he can be trusted, and once he has ensnared them, will lash out. He does have a feisty, very feisty, side, and it takes a lot of courage just to handle him. Like most Arabs, he is hot and very forward, his slowest pace being a fast canter. Everything is done at a canter and try and get him to slow down, he fights. He is always willing to go faster though.

Basic History: Sammy was born at a small stud in Arkansas, already showing what he was going to become in the future. He was a cute foal, and maybe spoiled a lot more than what was good. At the age of three he had developed some behaviour problems that was left for his rider to sort out. He was never gelded, his blood lines to good for that. At the age of seven he had already done a few endurance races and aged nine was bought at the local auction in Blue Ridge for the Academy.

Personality: Barry can be described as dopey. He is lazy and it takes even the smallest amount of effort to get him to a paddock. He is a good horse to ride though. He doesn't even realise he's a stallion until he passes a mare in heat. Then he becomes very excitable and more energetic than ever before. He is still inexperienced as a stud stallion, having only completed one breeding season before.

The History
Basic History: Barry was born at a German stud, being exported to the UK aged six months. There he was allowed to grow out and into himself until he was three. Then his training started and he is now Elementary Dressage. He was brought to the States to further his show career, but has also been placed at stud where he is co-owned by the Academy.

He is very proud and carries himself around like he owns the place. It makes him stand out almost immediately, but sometimes he does strut around a little too much, making it just comical.

Basic History: Jurgen was born in The Netherlands and was basically allowed to grow out until the age of four. All the basic ground work was in place, and because his owners took his training slow and didn't rush him, he was proven to be a solid horse, hardly fazed. He then sent in for his stallion performance tests and passed with clears. He is allowed an allotted mares per season, according to the FPS regulations. He ended up in a private auction in the States after being sold on at the age of seven where the Academy brought him. He is one of the stalwarts of the Academy.

He is prone to biting and is head shy, but despite his faults, he is reliable in the arena. He is a one person horse, so the rider he gets now should be willing to commit to him.

Basic History: Blue was born at the neighbouring farm, but was sadly neglected the more the farm ran out of funds. His training was harsh and the cuts on his barrel and around his mouth show this. He was sent from auction to auction after that, and he finally ended up in Blue Ridge again. The Academy bought him six months ago and after doing tests, found they would rather not geld him as he is rather fertile.

Personality: Sailor is as sweet as they come. He does have a fiery streak in him, but will never really go out to harm any one. He does excitable, especially around feeding time, but he will never lose his head and go loco on a person. He does get a tad hot, especially when being ridden, and despite his injury, enjoys going for a good gallop every few months. His ground manners are impeccable and he just loves being in people's company. There isn't a bad bone in his body, despite being a stallion.

Basic History: Sailor was born at the same stud as Sammy, but was sold at the age of six months to a competitive Western riding family. He was brought up well, and treated like a horse. He was loved by everyone and excelled in in-hand classes. He soon became a winner and even went to a few international shows. A freak accident a year ago left him unable to compete as he was hit by a truck when he escaped his paddock. He was sent to Blue Ridge to stand stud and has been a loved member of the stables ever since.

Basic History: Jumper was born to an old woman who had her mare covered by a top stallion at the time. It was an irrational choice and when Jumper finally arrived, he was spoiled beyond belief. At the age of two he was sent to an auction, the old woman's children putting their foot down and saying that she couldn't look after a two year old colt. He was sent from auction to auction, finally finding a home in Blue Ridge.

The History
Basic History: Casper was an accidental birth when his dam (the stud's best broodmare) had a visit from a roaming stallion. No one knew about the pregnancy until after all of the broodmares had been served, so no one thought it strange that Wendy was pregnant. Everyone was blown away on the day of his birth when the cremello colt hit the ground as never before had they come across this problem. Casper was left with his mother until he was of weaning age and was then sold as fast as possible to remove the cast-off from the stud farm.

His career ended from a bowed tendon, and now, at six years old, he's a stud.
