personality :: blitz is the perfect horse for beginners. he is often used for lessons and is the reserve competition horse for katya's team; should any of their horses have a problem. although he is perfect to ride, he can be a handful in the stable and tends to barge out of his stall. he is afraid of plastic bags and visibility jackets. he is known to shy, but never buck or rear. on the course all the rider needs to do is steer, he's that easy! however, like all horses, he'll need encouragement at a water jump.
history :: blitz was bred at a top hanoverian stud in the states. as a promising eventing horse, he was sold to an uprising eventing star, who trained him with another horse. however, push came to shove and when funds became low, he was forced to sell him. he was six years old at the time, slightly green but very safe. katya saw him and snapped him up quickly. he helped her regain her confidence, and he is used both as a competition horse and in the school.

personality :: roma is your typical mare. if she doesn't want to do something, then no one can force her into it. as a youngster, she is still very green, and very spooky round the course. she has a tendency to buck after a jump. as a thoroughbred cross she is extremely fast, but tends to be lazy over jumps. she is normally easy to handle in the stable unless in season.
history :: out of an arab mare, the romany child was originally supposed to be trained to become a showjumper. she was broken as a four year old, but lacked the scope a top horse needed, and was put up for sale as a potential eventing horse. katya noticed the fiery young mare, and bought her as her own project to work on.

personality :: he's a been there, done that and got the shirt horse. whilst he might not be the comfiest of rides, jasper knows what he's doing, and can be trusted round a cross country course with almost anyone. despite his age he is extremely soft in the mouth, and for this reason katya is reluctant to let novice riders on him. he is hard to catch and hates the vet, but is otherwise good to handle.
history :: owned by katya's uncle originally, jasper was given to various riders to compete around the country for her uncle; who owned and bred eventing horses. bought from a small stud, he was trained to the top level and has enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame during the mid noughties. now he is not as young as he used to be, jasper was given to katya to compete at a lower level.

personality :: a true quality horse. she is a winner through the cross country course, although she tends to get tired easily, so she needs an experience rider to guide her through the course. she is fearless and will jump anything. she has a bad habit of weaving in the stall, and can be difficult to load. she is afraid of dogs.
history :: katya has watched this mare since she was born in germany. a classic example of her breed, heidi's mother is a quality brood mare, whilst her father has won several titles in the european continent. after her accident, katya had no intention of buying a horse of this calibre, but kept an eye on her anyway. when she eventually went up for auction, katya spent an arm and a leg to buy her; and have her imported to the states.
