.Rescue Horses.
Please send Demeter Carr a PM if you would like to be in the Rehabilitation class (with a name for horse you would like to work with), as the horses are taken they will get their own thread and their number will be crossed out on this page. The classes will be run at the equine clinic. When the class is over, the horse will be yours to do with as you please.Name: Risque de Foudre (Risk)
Breed: Highland Pony
Height: 14.1
History and Temperament: This little girl was rescued from a case of neglect. She was purchased as a foal as nothing more than a lawn mower and has been treated like one. She has over-grown hooves, worms and a severe case of rain rot. Because of her limited interaction with humans, she has yet to see them as anything other than predators, and it will take some time to break through the wall she had built up around herself. From the half-healed scars on her back it is evident that she has been beaten in the past.
Assigned Student: Cara-Jean Kitchi
Name: Wind Ghost
Breed: Spotted Saddle Horse
Height: 15
History and Temperament: This mare was rescued along with two geldings from an abandoned farm. She is severely underweight (some vets have said that she is too far gone). As well as being starved she has wounds on her legs that are thought to have come from dogs – and the theory is backed up by the fact she is terrified by dogs.

Name:
Breed: Mustang
Height: 15
History and Temperament: Other then the fact that this mare hasn’t been handled very well, she seems to be the calmest of the horses here. She has been backed, but not done very nicely so will need to be reintroduced to having someone sitting on her back. She doesn't spook easily but doesn’t like things approaching her too quickly.
Assigned Student:
Name: Beating As One (Penny)
Breed: Quarter Horse
Height: 15.3
History and Temperament: It is believed that once upon a time this horse rode the barrels, but looking at her withdrawn stance and dejected appearance, it is hard to believe that this horse was once a champion. She is pretty friendly though, once you have managed to gain her trust.
Assigned Student: Annabelle Archer
Name: Half Dome's Tears (Aros)
Breed: Appaloosa
Height: 16
History and Temperament: This poor guy is suffering from lack of food. He also has a moderate case of rain rot. His feet are not in too bad of shape but he does have some thrush in his right front hoof. This gelding seems to have a good personality and he has a kind eye. He does spook if things come up to him too fast. But he is not aggressive.
Assigned Student: Miranda Florin
Name: Another Chance (Chance)
Breed: Trakehner
Height: 17
History and Temperament: Tall, dark and handsome as he is, this boy is anything but friendly. After knocking down some rails at a show, he was beaten and put out to pasture where it seems his owners just forgot about him. Along with another gelding and a mare, he was rescued and vetted. But it will take some time before this guy can head back to the showring as he has lost all trust in humanity.
Assigned Student: Nina Dobrev
Name:Titanium
Breed: Friesian
Height: 15
History and Temperament: This gelding was donated to BRRA after the local SPCA ran out of room after a large scale rescue. He is a high headed horse to say the least. Some times it seems that he is leading you instead of you leading him. For the most part all this gelding needs is a little TLC and some good eats. Be warned through, he dislikes dogs...a lot.
Assigned Student: Cody Satokes
Name: Monte Carlo (Monte)
Breed: Quarab
Height: 14.2
History and Temperament: This is the third horse rescued from an abandoned farm. From his attitude to being handled, it doesn’t seem that he has had much training at all. He will shy away from anything and everything he is uncertain of and, given the chance, will bolt at any moment.
Assigned Student: Eloise McCoy
