History: Sun was bred to be a racehorse. She had been raced since she was 2, and she wasn't very good. Her fairly impressive pedigree confounded many as she came last or near last race after race. Her owner raced her until she was almost 4, hoping that if she raced Sun more, she could tap into some deactivated genes that would cause Sun to win. Unfortunately, no such thing existed, so Sun's owner retired her from racing and put her up for sale for a mere $200. Adelaide, who had a limited budget and knew she would never be able to buy anything more than a cheap project horse, saw Sun's ad, saw the potential in her, and bought her. After a few months of rest from racing, Adelaide started training Sun for a new career.
