The Personality
Personality: Steele is a very bold, forwards horse who knows his own strength and uses it to his advantage at times when he doesn't want to listen to his rider, though, for the most part, he always listens to Chris except for the rare, few occasions when he decides he doesn't want to do something. He's willing and eager to please and is always ready to try something new and is an extremely courageous jumper. He'll literally jump almost anything put in front on him.
His name suits him to a 'T', as this horse is unwavering and unflinching to everything and anything. Nothing bothers him; he just lets things 'bounce off his hide'. His overall personality is just 'vivacious'… lively. He's animated and dynamic, no matter where he's at and is an eye-catcher in the show ring and on the trails.
Caution Around: He gets very impatient around feed-time and will become food-aggressive if another horse gets near him when he's eating his daily portion
The History
Basic History:Steele has had a good life. He was born at a breeding facility in Nevada and stayed there until he was sold at two years old to the Saito family. The people who bred him adored their horses and liked to make sure they were at their absolute best before selling them, so from the time he hit the ground he had extensive ground-work and when he was sold, he was a very well-mannered horse who was ready to be started in whatever discipline his new family decided to take him.
Steele was immediately put into training upon arriving at his new home and over time, he became the perfect mount for Chris, as they both act a lot alike… bold, brave, and ready to take on anything. He has shown and won in 3-Day-Eventing several times and he has the potential to make it to the Grand Prix level, which is one of the future goals of his rider. Steele definitely matches his rider in ever aspect there is.
