banner here! [/img] The sun wasn't exactly high in the sky yet, but it wasn't hidden by the tree tops. Not being in the mood to ride, Mia was quite tired with bouncing around in the saddle. Although she loved to run the barrels with her mare, it just wasn't a priority as of that moment. Mia just wanted to watch, often she would just sit in the pastures with the mares and watch them. Leaving the Primrose barn, where her father worked on a daily basis, she walked over to White Oak Barn. Her mare stood by her water bucket taking a long drink. "Hi girly. You wanna go out?" The mare's blanket was already on from the night before and so Mia walked quickly to the tack room. She grabbed the darker pink colored halter and leadrope. The Paint Horse knew how to deal with Mia, lowering her head the young girl slipped the halter over her nose and then up over her ears. Clipping the chin strap on the halter, the six year old made sure the stall door was opened all the way and then led Crystal over to the Red Willow Barn. Tying the first horse to the bars of Dreamer's stall, she ran to the tack room and grabbed the Appaloosa's blue colored halter. Repeating the proccess, she had both mares haltered. For now she would leave Freedom in her stall. Mia's father had always told the six year old to not handle anymore than two horses at a time. Following that rule Mia led Crystal and Dreamer down to the pasture that only mares were aloud to be in, pasture five. Opening the gate she turned around the two equines and released them. Mia turned around and closed the gate, returning to the White Oak Barn. Retrieving Freedom, hopefully she would behave for the young girl for the short walk down to the pasture. Luckily she did and the small girl turned the Mustang around and let her go. Getting a bit farther away from the fence row, the red roan threw a kick and continued trotting around. There was a large tree only a few steps away from the fence that gave a small part of the pasture shade, Mia made her way over to the fence and sat, just observing the grazing mares.

Ria smiled as she saw Moo poking her head out of the stall, "Good morning, Moo!" The seven-year-old had been woken early, by Will getting ready to give Millennium some exercise before he started on his work, so she had chosen to get out early, and hopefully have some time with Moo in the pasture before most of the students had a chance to get out of bed. She hurried to get the mare's halter, then buckled it on, with the mare lowering her head nicely before the girl had to reach up too high to get at her head. Once the buckle was secure, Ria led the mare out of her stall, making sure to close the stall door again once the mare's hindquarters were out of the way. As they made their way down to the mares-only pasture, Ria chatted to the mare, telling her of her plans for the day, which included going to see Gloria and Anderson, as well as maybe asking Cara to teach her how to braid manes. She had seen a few horses with their manes braided up, and it had looked really nice.
As she approached the pasture, she could see another little girl that she recognized. She grinned and shouted, "Hi Mia!" She skipped up to her friend, Moo breaking into a slow trot behind her, "How's Crystal?" She continued smiling as she let Moo into the pasture, the mare lowering her head again that Ria could remove the bridle, before the seven-year-old clambered up on the fence next to her friend.

The young girl didn't know what to do at this point. She hadn't really planned out what she wanted to do after she had let the mares out. No book to read, blank sheet of paper to draw on, nothing. Crystal trotted up to the fence and set her nose on Mia's knee. "You're welcome, girl." Thinking about it for bit the six year old needed to work the mare out. She didn't want the spotted horse to get out of her rhythm of the barrels. Because of her age Mia didn't really compete but, she had big dreams and with the help of her father hopefully she would be able to get the money to enter a rodeo or something like that. Another girl's voice penetrated her thoughts. Looking back, she saw Ria, another younger girl that stayed at the academy with her uncle. "Hey Ria!" Raising her hand she waved furiously. Watching her turn out Moo the six year old replied to Ria's question. "Good, getting off easy for now." It was true the mare really hadn't done anything in the last week. "What about Moo?" The pony was very cute, sometimes Mia wished that she had a mount that was her size not two of her tall.
