Sara looked around the gym, smiling as she saw the winter formal come together. The cheerleaders had been asked to take over the decorations of the gym, and the entire affair, since they would be able to make it appealing to the students. She liked the way it had turned out, with half of the gym empty, with only the walls decorated, as a dance floor. The other half, however, was filled, with a scattering of tables and chairs. Against the wall stood a long rectangular table, covered with a black cloth and light blue tulle, then filled with a number of snacks. The crowning piece was a three-tiered chocolate fountain, with the chocolate running down it. Of course, Sara had stayed away from the food, delegating the task to two of the younger cheerleaders, who had done a neat job of setting up the table. Sara turned away from the food and looked at the walls. Nets of light hung from the gym walls, and a few of her girls were finishing up with covering the lights with a light black tulle fabric. The student tables were covered the same as the food table, blue on black, with light blue and white flowers in the centerpieces. The DJ was still setting up in his corner, which had the most access to plugs, and was rather close to the dance floor. After the cheerleaders had finished their tasks and come to gather around her, Sara smiled at them, "It looks wonderful!" She took in the completely changed gym, still smiling, then turned back to the girls, "Go get dressed, I'll meet you back here in three hours." They had started decorating early in the morning, and they had finished around two hours after lunch. Since the dance wasn't scheduled to start until five anyway, now everyone had enough time to pretty up and get ready. Shooing the girls away, Sara walked over to the DJ, who had finished setting up, "If you'd like, I can lock the gym until four thirty, so no one will be able to get to your things." The man nodded, and they walked out of the gym together. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two hours later, Sara had finished cleaning up. She snapped on Cinder's vest and tucked his lead into one of the pockets. While she didn't want to have to keep holding the leash, she had to at least carry it with her, just in case. She glanced at her long, strapless black dress in the mirror one last time. She had been lucky enough to find the perfect dress on one of her trips to town. Her hair was simple, curled slightly, but just down, with a tiny sparkling clip in the back. Grinning at herself to give her some confidence, she called for Cinder to heel, then walked out of the room. She still had to plug in the wall lights, and make a few last minute changes, but then, the real fun would begin. As she entered the gym, she flipped the lights on again, then went around, plugging in the nets of lights. The DJ arrived, and settled into his corner. As the hour drew closer, Sara hurried to turn off the main lights again, leaving the large room to be lit only by the lights on the walls. Finally, it was five, and Sara opened the doors to the gym, stepping back to one of the corners to watch the people's reactions to the gym.

Cortney stood in front of the full length mirror of her dorm room, she pulled her brown hair into a messy, but stylish, updo. She then used her curling iron to make the ends that were hanging down ringlets. She was happy with the way is looked and then began to get started on her make-up. She looked into the mirror and surveyed the empty room. She was excited about the dance and wondered is her room-mate, Ashleigh, was also planning on coming. Returning her attention back to the task at hand, she applied the make-up. Just enough to set off her most striking features; her cheek bones, lips and eyes, but not too much that she looked like a cheap hooker. She had used a sparkling eye-shadow on the tops of her eyelids to her fine eyebrows and an eyeliner to draw a little attention to her almond shaped eyes. Rising from the vanity chair, she then stepped into her dress; a royal blue A-line ball gown with sweetheart beaded tulle. She then slipped her feet into her silver kitten heels. After shrugging into a silvery wrap-over cardigan - to keep her arms warm - and picking up her silver clutch, she headed out of her dorm and down to the gym. Walking into the building, she gave Sara a wave. As part of the cheerleading squad, she had spent the best part of the day in the gym, helping to get it ready. She'd be one of the girl's assigned to setting up the food table, and if she said so herself, it looked pretty good - almost good enough to have helped herself to some of the food before she had returned to her room to get ready. Taking off the cardigan, she hung it up on the coat rack just inside the door and then crossed the room to stand with Sara. "If anyone make any negative comments about this place, I will seriously hurt them." She commented with a grin.

Rose stood in the mirror of her room, stomach flipping before her. She hadn't been to a dance in a long while, and for whatever reason, she was quite nervous. It didn't make sense, since she didn't even have a date to impress, and was just going to have fun. Standing in her bath robe, she stepped bare footed into the bathroom, shivering when the cold floor met her feet. Untying her hair from the bun it was in, she combed it out so that it kept its pretty naturally waves and smoothed product into it to define the waves and keep frizz away. She then pulled it back up into a high ballerina bun, still letting her curls show a bit, but tucking all of the ends in. Pulling out her makeup caddy, which held everything perfectly organized, she applied her makeup with care, not using much at all. Only tinted moisturizer was needed, as well as some light blush. She highlighted her eyes with light colors to make their gray-blue color lighter, and just used mascara and a bit of eyeliner. Lastly, she applied a light coral lip color that didn't pop out too much, but definitely gave some color to her lips, which were looking particularly white today. Happy, Rose walked out of the bathroom and over to the mirror, staring for a moment, and then at her bed. She had to force herself not to walk over and take the scale out from underneath, weighing herself for the second time that day. Once A Day she always told herself, and always in the morning or before she went to bed. Sighing, she took her dress out from her closet and took it out of it's garment bag, holding it up her herself in the mirror before shedding her rode and stepping into it. It took her a little while to get the zipper up, which was in the back, but she eventually got it. It was a long light coral dress she'd ordered, strapless and made of flowy silk chiffon. The bodice was draped and it had a princess neckline. The dress was very slim, and Rose had worked hard to find one that would fit her well enough, and she'd been happy to find this one. It was the perfect color to match her porcelain skin tone and light hair, and neither popped too much on her nor toned her out with her pale features. Rose carefully fastened a short string of pearls around her neck that draped over her collarbone, and put in pearl earrings to match. It was pure elegance, and Rose actually had to admit that she looked pretty for once. Slipping on her cream white kitten heels, and grabbing her clutch, she slipped on a cardigan and headed out the door. The commute over to the gym was interesting, with her dress blowing in the blustery wind, tugging her cardigan around her to keep warm, but once she made it inside she was fine. Placing her cardigan on the coat wrap, she entered the gym warily. She quickly found that she was one of the first people there, and had to stop herself from shying away and back to her room. Stepping further inside, she was immediately impressed by how the gym had been transformed.

Twisting his fingers through the tie that wound around Jackson's neck, he fumbled with it for a moment before finally getting it tied, perfectly. Satisfied with his look now, he made sure that his hair was spiked nicely; and then walked to the bathroom, checking his tuxedo. All black and white. Jackson was ready to go, and he checked his watch; now deciding to run. It was getting near the time for the dance to be starting. He might want to get there a little early as well, not knowing of who would be there. Walking out of his dorm, Jackson made his way to the Gymnasium, where the dance was to be held. Seeing that it was all ready to go; and almost no one was there outside yet. Walking up the stairs and into the gym, he saw a few girls inside. They were all looking gorgeous, as every girl was. Only, there was one girl Jackson was particulary looking for in the Gym; and she didn't seem to be there yet, or arriving anytime soon. Staying standing, he moved over to the food table. Deciding on not touching anything, since it looked so great, he commented to the girls here; obivously knowing they had set it up. Looks great, girls.

Applying a shimmering lip gloss over her pale pink lips, Lucy smeared it out and then applied a coat of mascara to her masced eyelashes. She was complete with her makeup, finally! Looking in the long pink mirror, she smoothed down her dress, which was to be used for the Winter Wonderland Dance. Taking her small cluth, she placed her phone and money inside; as well as keys, and some makeup. Taking a look at the fragile layers of the light blue dress, with the bling on top; she cocked her head, making her curls look perfect; before leaving her dorm. Walking through campus to the gym, she saw others with their dresses and tuxedos walking on the stone path to the gym, where the dance was. Walking up the concrete steps; Lucy placed her high heeled foot into the gym. No turning back now. Stepping fully inside she glancedd around. Everything looked wonderful; and she couldn't believe what all the girls had done to the place. It looked amazing and she couldn't ask for anythign more. Not a whole lot of people were there yet, but she hoped more would arrive soon; then again she was early.

Chris hurried towards his dorm after leaving the Gym. He'd spent the day working alongside the other cheerleaders, getting the area ready for the dance that night. Being the only male cheerleader, he'd been delegated to the job of carrying all the heavier stuff for the girls, which he hadn't minded at all, as it meant he got to help just about everyone. Entering his room, he made short work of a quick shower and grabbed his clothes. Chris wasn't really into all the 'formal wear' stuff, and there was no way he was going to wear a suit or anything, but he still look nice. He glanced at himself in the mirror before he set to work with his hair straightener, liking the way his outfit looked. He looked nice. Finally, spraying on a little bit of cologne, Chris took his looks in one more time before grinning and giving his mirror image a thumbs up. Oh yeah, I look good. He then left the dorm, heading back towards the gym. It was rather chilly, but the boy knew that once he entered the gymnasium, it would warm up. He paused just inside the gym, looking around at the decorations and everything that they'd worked so hard on throughout the day. It looked really nice. As Chris started moving again, he searched the crowd, taking in who was already there, but frowning when he didn't see his sister. He knew Ash was planning on coming to the dance, she'd cornered him just a few days ago and had demanded that he'd better save a dance for her, to which he'd agreed. He grinned, though, upon seeing two fellow cheerleaders, and gave them a wave over the small crowd, calling out a ''Hey'' to Cortney and Sara before beginning to mingle.

Letting her toned skin unclamp from the curling iron that she held, Lindsey watched as the last curl fell from her hair. Playing around with the long dark hair she finally found the place it belonged. Applying another coat of lipgloss acrossed the pale pink shade of her lips; she looked in the mirror. Stroking out any loose parts of her red and black dress, she took her phone off the bed, and let the small clutch hang from her wrist.
Walking out of her dorm room, Lindsey glanced in the corner where her dog use to sleep, her sister was generous to come and get him at least. Letting out a sigh; she texted Jacob, asking if he would be coming; hoping to get a reply at least. Making her way in her silver high heels acrossed the paved campus. Walking up the stone steps, she made her way into the Winter Wonderland inside.
Seeing a white tuxedo catch her eye, Lindsey caught a glimpse of Jackson in the corner of her orb. Walking towards him she tazed him from behind. Whatcha up to? Just standing around all night? Lindsey asked him, a grin upon her face.

Kendall entered the gym, scanning the few students who had already arrived. She had been asked to chaperone the dance, along with a few other teachers and varied staff. While they were more of a formality, she had been warned to watch the clothes that were around, making sure that they were of a reasonable length, and that nothing uncouth was happening in the darker corners of the gym. She looked around the gym in approval. The cheerleaders had done a wonderful job of redecorating the gym. Slightly bored, since there was nothing yet that required her to step in, she smoothed her hands down the charcoal grey formal suit which she had chosen to wear. As a student she didn't have in class, but luckily recognized from around the barns, entered with an inappropriately short dress, Kendall sighed. She pushed away from the corner she had inhabited and walked towards the girl. As she drew nearer, she could see Lindsey talking to another guy. She stopped a few paces away, frowning disapprovingly, "Miss Bradshaw, what made you think that you could violate the student dress code, even for a formal dress?" She nodded at the door, "Go change into appropriate clothes, on the double, or don't bother coming back into the dance." She glanced at Lindsey's companion, "I'm sorry, Mister Reinken, but Miss Bradshaw has to excuse herself for now." She focused her glare on the girl, waiting for her reaction, daring her to start some drama.

The blonde thought that this day would never come at the Academy. Yet ever since she got the news, she underestimated herself. Erica was most estactic when she heard the cheerleaders got to form the event as well. 'Winter Wonderland Dance.' The name of it sounded even awesome. As she started to set up the walls and was later helping out with any other tasks that the squad may need help with. She grinned when it was time to head out and start getting ready. She decided not to take another glance at the setting. Since she wanted it to be a surprise when she returns to see how it all turned out. Getting ready for the biggest event in your life was even harder than she thought. Since this was one of the first formals she has had at BRRA since she arrived. She sighed as she started to scurry through her closet of clothes. It seemed she didn't have as much formal things to wear for tonight. She groaned, frustrated with herself. She continued to look through and trying on the outfits she could think of. She finally found which she thinks is the perfect one. Her smile turned bright with joy as she quickly put it on and started to twirl around, posing and having fun with it in the mirror. She gave a soft laugh to herself. Her personality was unlike the one she use to have. Yet she seemed to like the new her. She decided to keep the green/gold strapless dress. Picking the kind of shoes, and accessories was easier. She continued to observe the array of shoes she owned. Most of them usually not heels. Until she remembered one high heels she had. It went perfectly, since her dress had some silver in it. She slipped on the silver peep-toe heels and approved at the outfit so dar as she glanced over to the mirror. She felt like she was missing one more thing, besides doing her hair. That was last. She quickly changed her earrings for a sparkling touch to her dress. The outfit was finally finished! She soon hurridly went to do her hair. She only had an hour and a half to finish up what she had to do, before meeting up with Sara. She decided that she shold just go with something simple. Her hair was already slightly curled so it was a nice touch. It was just the rest of her hair. She soon concluded to the decision of making a simple side waterfall braid. She did the braid more neater than she usually does any braid, using a regular bobby-pin instead of some fancy clip. She thinks she had enough sparkle and accesories. She added some lip gloss, blush, and light eyeshadow for her make up. Not really a big fan. She walked out and looked at herself in her height sized mirror and grinned at her finalized look. "This day, might be perfect.." She smiled to herself. She grabbed her long black cardigan and wrapped it around herself to keep warm. It was the right time, she had a half an hour left to head over and meet everyone. As she finally made it through the campus towards the gym. She finally got the final look at the winter wonderland dance. It was perfect, even more than perfect. The chocolate fountain, the decorated walls, and even the mood. She noticed some people have already arrive. She later found out she was just a few minutes late. She hung up her jacket, showing her outfit for the formal. She walked over towards Sara and Courtney and smiled towards them. "Hey, guys.. The place turned out great!" She commented, keeping her smile small, yet still keeping her excitement. OOC: Sorry, long post.. Got carried away xD

Becca bustled around her room, quite excited about the formal dance. It was time like these when she was especially grateful that she had a room to herself since she was in the Blue Ribbon House. She'd pulled out everything that she'd wear beforehand, placing her dress on her bad and shoes at the foot of the bed. In the bathroom, she applied her makeup, not using a lot of foundation, since she didn't need it much. She highlighted her eyes with light to medium shades, and then used eyeliner and mascara. She'd chosen a berry red lip color as well that wouldn't clash with her hair too much, but was still rather dramatic. She then straightened her red hair carefully. Once it was straight, she used her wide barreled straightener and curler to make a gentle wave through her hair, to give it some structure. Returning to the main area of her room, she put on her dress, which was a long, chocolate brown, and covered in sequins. It was elegant, eye-catching, and exactly what Becca had been looking for. She put gold ball earrings in her ears, and grabbed a cardigan to wear on the way over. Slipping on her simple black heels and grabbing her black silk clutch, Becca left her room, confident and boasting simple elegance. She made her way down to and entered the gym, immediately impressed by the decorations. She'd heard that the cheerleaders had taken charge of the event, and she was rather impressed. She walked in after hanging up her cardigan, subtly surveying the scene before her. It looked like other dances she'd been to, complete with the girl being scolded by a teacher for her inappropriate attire. Becca refrained from smirking, knowing that she was being mean, and made her way further into the crowd.

Kenzie didn't even know why she was going to the dance. She didn't have a date, and she didn't really even know anyone, even though she'd been at the school for a while. She had said she was going without thinking about it, and she couldn't really just sit in her room all night, scrolling down a dead Facebook homepage.
So she started getting ready, first going through her closet. Not planning for the dance made her palms sweaty; what if she couldn't find a dress, or it didn't fit? Her whole closet had been transplanted to Blue Ridge, and while Kenzie hadn't had any use yet for the five or six party dresses she owned, this was the one and only opportunity to wear one. She tried on a coral above-the-knee style dress before deciding it was too short and coming to the navy blue and silver dress she had worn to the last dance she attended at her old school.
Kenzie struggled with the zipper for a few minutes, but finally worked it loose and pulled the dress over her head. A little loose - progress! - but it still fit respectably. She fought with the zipper some more to get it up and convinced herself it was the zipper that was stiff, not her gaining weight. Kenzie kicked through her collection of shoes to find the navy blue and silver pumps that matched. Did she, at 5'7", really need heels? Well, no, but they made her legs and butt look fantastic.
Kenzie spent the next forty-five minutes doing her hair and makeup. The loose side braid took three tries to get right, without excessive bobby pinning. Her eye makeup went slightly better; she had plenty of practice with the look, and it was just a matter of picking the right colors. Lips were easy; it was the same daily routine of balm, liner, gloss, with a little extra care to make it perfect.
She just had to put in earrings, and she'd be good to go. Kenzie stared at herself in the mirror, fighting an inner battle against taking all the makeup off and just going on Tumblr until she feel asleep. She pursed her lips and almost took off one shoe before she heard laughter in the hallway. Maybe this could be fun. She wouldn't know unless she went.
Kenzie slipped her room key into the bodice of her dress (she had always hated bringing purses to dances; just one more thing to lose) and ventured out into the hallway. Her heels clicked on the ground as she walked to the gym, slower than the rest of the crowd.
She slipped in the door behind a gaggle of girls and was taken aback by the amount of care that had gone into decorating. Kenzie gave a quick smile to the cheerleaders and settled into her public face. It was getting harder to fake happy all the time, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Getting dressed in normal clothes was enough of a struggle, but that night, Keri had to challenge herself even more by putting on a fancy dress for the Winter Wonderland Ball being held by the school's cheerleaders. Apparently, missing it was not an option, seeing as how everyone would be there. She sighed as she looked at her dress and shoes, knowing that they would make her crazy trying to get on, but she had to. She was sure Sam wouldn't let her miss it, and her hair hadn't given her any problems that day so she had no excuse not to get dressed up. She took off her sling and started to pull on her red and white long gown, which made her feel like Christmas with her lime green arm cast, and then quickly placed her arm back into the black sling, which had been covered in sparkles during her rummage through the closet, so it made her outfit a bit more festive, she guessed. As she slid her feet into her silver heels, she couldn't help but wish she had brought nicer looking sandals so that she didn't have to wear these torture devices. They looked nice on her and all, but she'd get sick of them within minutes of arriving at the dance. She fixed her make up and then ruffled her hair a bit before grabbing her little black purse and shoving her phone inside, and then heading for the door. Once she got to the gymnasium, it looked nothing like she had expected. It actually looked nice... "Wow... maybe I should have dressed up a bit more..." She mumbled to herself as she walked over to where other students were mingling. She didn't recognize any of them in their long ball gown dresses, with their hair done up gorgeously. She felt like a slacker, having woken up with her hair this way, but at least someone would recognize her... she hoped.

Savannah put the final touches on her eye make up and bounced her hair once before stepping out of her dorm room in Blue Ribbon house. As soon as she stepped her silver heeled foot outside of the building, she felt that familiar pain of 5 inch heels, but it was one she loved, because she knew that she always rocked it. Her phone and lip gloss sat in her silver clutch bag as well as her back up hairspray. She was never caught unprepared at any sort of function, especially not a dance. When she stepped into the gymnasium, the lights danced off of her sparkling white dress which flowed down to her ankles and let everyone know that she was there. She looked around, seeing other students there, and had to admit, the place didn't look that shabby. The cheerleaders did a decent job. She walked over to one of the tables to put her purse down and check her phone, making sure she had it on vibrate while she waited for some people she knew to walk in. Everyone that was there were people she wasn't too familiar with, and she didn't exactly want to socialize with them, seeing as she knew nothing about them, or about where they stood in the rankings at this school.

Sam walked around the first floor of white ribbon for a while, trying to give Keri some space. Obviously trying to cater to her every need had annoyed her roommate, so she let Keri get ready for the dance without the constant “need help” or, “here, let me get that for you.” After a while of watching tv, she decided to go upstairs and work on her hair. The hardest part of getting ready would be getting her hair to stay in the curls she had planned. She fought with her hair for at least an hour, completely in her own zone. Her hair refused to curl nicely after the first few tries, but after she had spent another hour spraying and curling, her brown curls fell properly onto her shoulders. Sam pulled her hair to the side, allowing it to flow and dangle. A silver studded barrette held her hair back. The barrette matched her necklace and earrings enough to look classy, but also to show a bit of her own personality. Her studded necklace sat tightly across her neck, drooping only a little so it would not hang over her dress and conflict, while her earrings hang low enough to touch her mid-jaw. With a deep breath Sam turned herself around to stare at herself in the mirror. Her purple ruched dress sit perfectly against her skin. The jewels on the dress sparkled against the light. Sam grinned happily as she walked over to her shoes, slipping on her silver studded heels. If it wasn’t for the fact that her dress had been slightly to long and drug on the ground, she wouldn’t have gotten heels. She would most likely be looking down on the guys at the dance. The extra few inches would probably put her over six feet. Sam finished applying her makeup quickly but thoroughly. To be quite frank she looked stunning, she would look perfect if she had one more thing with her. Fox. Unfortunately he was gone, so she would have to stick out the night with her other friends. She exhaled deeply at the thought, and reached for the handle to the door and made her way to the gymnasium. When she entered the gym her jaw dropped lightly. She hadn’t expected the cheerleaders to make the place look so amazing. The first thing she caught as she looked around the room was the chocolate fountain flowing on a long table. The girls had really outdone themselves in decorating, the place. After she realized she was gawking she decided to go join her roomie, as she was the only one there she actually knew, or could bare to be around. ”Wow Keri, you look awesome.” She smiled softly then glanced around at the other. ”You guys all look awesome.”

Bronwyn hummed happily to herself as she got ready for the dance. She had to admit, she was excited, and she hoped she'd see people she knew there, too. She glanced at her dress in the mirror and smiled, laughing slightly. Her green and gold sleeveless dress was gorgeous... the deep green contrasting nicely to the gold embellishments. also contracting nicely were her gold heels, as her dress was more green than anything. She frowned slightly, thinking something was missing, before whirling and going to her dresser, where she found a pair of gold earrings and necklace. Putting the jewelry on, including a small gold bracelet as well, she looked back at herself in the mirror and nodded. She grabbed a green shawl before leaving her room, though. As she joined the several other students walking towards the gym, the girl looked around, seeing several people she knew by sight, but not many she knew by name. She sighed, but then smiled widely as she entered the gym. It was absolutely beautiful! Bronwyn hung back a little and looked at the several other students already inside the large area before heading towards the tables that were dished up with snacks and drinks. She poured herself a drink of red fruit punch and walked away, sitting down at one of the smaller tables to watch people.
