Leo fiddled somewhat nervously with his tie. School events such as dances were something he really only went to observe. He never really participated in the whole ‘dancing’ aspect, let alone with a girl. The boy was feeling nervous simply for going to the dance and he wasn’t even taking a girl! Of course, he’d never actually been confident to ask anyone nor did he know anyone that well. There were so many gorgeous girls at this school, he’d been having a hard time ignoring the boyish side of him as he’d done for the majority of his life. Leo was not the one for any rendezvousing of the sort. Rather, it scared him.
At least, he’d thought it would do as much. Flirtatious girls with too much showing always managed to make him as flighty as his mare despite what usual boys his age might’ve done. Of course, he was a teenage boy by any means and did have his little, quiet appreciations for beauty very privately inside his head. Never a comment on how a girl looked had ever been released from his lips, and Leo doubted it was to change so long as he kept to his ways.
Finally, the boy managed to mess up the tie enough to only fix it back into place and straighten out his jacket. Also like other boys, he had just felt too uncomfortable under a tux despite his gentlemanly ways. It pushed him too much out his usual self and he didn’t feel quite prepared to take on a whole winter wonderland. A winter wonderland with many boys and girls dancing and flirting and all that good stuff was most definitely not Leo’s crowd. He didn’t mind observing however, and seeing other people happy tended to uplift his heart a bit as well.
Deciding he was looking pleasant and gentle enough for the dance, the boy grabbed his keys and mussed with his already jelled hair a bit. His shoes barely made a noise against the floor and Leo climbed just as silently into his car. The thing was old and smelled like the farm, but it was his car and he liked it. Starting up the engine, Leo drove to the gym parking lot and took a deep breath, already hearing the noise inside the place. He wasn’t quite sure exactly what to expect.
Leo quickly decided to be optimistic and climbed out of his car, shutting the door gently as possible before he made his way through the doors. Immediately, he felt as if he had just been thrown into a Disney movie. The gym had been transformed from its old sweaty state in a place of magical beauty. The boy’s eyes couldn’t help but take a gander at the many girls already surrounding the floor. Gorgeous in all their gowns, he grew even shyer than usual and walked as inconspicuously as he could to the punch table. There, he quickly filled up a cup and glugged it down on the first sip.

With a good three hours on her side the eighteen year old had plenty of time to get ready. Never really one to go to any sort of dance this was like a first for her. Lily laid on the bed, the fluffy cat had no comment or care in the world like she usually did, just curled in a ball. Heating up her curling iron her hair would be the hardest part. The blonde mess was thick and long, the multiple layers didn't exactly help either. Every now and again Belle would glance at her dress hanging on the bathroom door. Seperating the rest of the layers from the very bottom one she clipped it up on her head. Figuring that letting it down and curly would be her best bet. Once done with the first layer a crap load of hair spray filled the air, eventually settling on her hair. With that she repeated the process, which took about an hour and a half, with the rest of her hair. The tiny curls fell down her shoulders and a smile appeared on her face, it was done the absolute hardest part. Painting her face with a little make-up she wasn't one to use a lot. Taking one final look at her dress, Belle slipped the plastic covering off and took it off the hanger. Stepping into the blue dress she zipped up the back and found her heels She hurried down to the gym. Entering the doors the once plain room was now a masterpiece. Belle saw a lot of girls and three boys, two of which she knew. Out of the many girls only three or four names registered in her mind when she looked around.

Alia looked at herself in the mirror, crossing her arms grumpily. Well, she was very unhappy at the moment. She couldn't find one of her gold spaded, long earrigns, but they were large, and shaped in a long upside down triangle with small, gold triangles layered in affects. She had one in, but couldn't find the other. Alia got down on her knees in her dress and crawled around looking for it. Darn it! Where did it go?! Looking underneath her bed, Alia's long graceful arms rummaged about, crashing into her suitcase multiple times. Something sharp hit her fingers, and she pulled it out. Ah there it was! Getting up, she slipped the earring into her ear lobe and connected the back. True, Alia was not much of an organized person, and completely crazy and lovable at the same time. Barely able to get herself standing without tearing the expensive dress her mother had sent to her, so her daughter would look presentable, Alia stumbled towards the mirror. Mrs. Williams had been very convinced that Alia was about to go in a night gown, and Alia rolled her eyes. Looking at her face and hair, she sighed, a thoughtful look on her face. She had done simple make up, not to dark lipstick and a smokey eye. Her hair had been teased and some taken towards the back and put in a clip that lay upon the layers of hair underneath the top ones. A simple diamond ring on her left hand, and Alia cast a glance over her shoulder at the pink simple heels with the glittering jewels across the bands. A huff escaped her lips, she wasn't going to walk there in them.
Finally, Alia cast her glace down wards. Looking at her dress, she slowly picked out the details. A light pink dress [/color] it was pretty, long and silk like, with a gold chain lining the underneath of the chest are and along the sides of her arms. The chain that was threaded with a pink ribbon went up, over her shoulders as straps. Sighing, Alia nodded here we go growled her mind. To be honest, Alia wasn't completely thrilled at the moment. Grabbing the heels by the ankle band with two fingers, Alia walked out of her room bare foot. Hey, this was supposed to be fun, she should have fun. Gosh, lighten up mind, Alia snapped at herself. Off to the dance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sooner or later, Alia arrived. Standing outside the doors, Alia lifted up each foot, slipping the heels on and buckling them behind her back. She was pretty good now, as Alia usually wore heals. Pushing open the doors quietly, Alia's blue eyes tore around the room. So many girls...... my lord. Alia shook her head and strode around the room, she spotted the girl Erica and smiled, then looked around more. Seeing Keri and Samantha, she practically ran over there. Hello girlies! Well don't you too look positively gorgeous tonight. She said to her gym mates, whom were in gymnastics with her. She smiled widely and looked around, so far, it seemed none of her friends friends had arrived yet. Like Beck, or Nina, or her teddy bear Mike. Hmmph, well, who cares, it was dance time! Even though, Alia was bad at dancing and hated it, but still, she always tried to stay on the positive side. Sighing she looked around, and smiled slightly. She ran her hand along the underside of her right arm and was taken aback slightly. Oh great, she forgot the bruise, after Rebellion had slammed her into the stall wall. Well, at least it was on the underside. No one would see it, she hoped. Looking around, she smiled, well, this would be fun.... hopefully.[/blockquote]

The red strapless dress combined with her silver heels looked quite nice, she thought as she stared into the mirror critically. Her hair was let fall, straight as a board over her shoulders, held back by a deep red hairband, matching her outfit. In her ears were silver dangling earrings and light make-up adorned her face, setting off the dark almond shaped eyes. Yes, she decided, she was ready for the dance. Simple, yet elegant. Ashleigh wondered if she'd see her friend and roommate at the dance, and immediately dismissed the thought. Of course her roommate would be there, the girl was a cheerleader, and her brother had told her something about the cheerleaders being required to go... or something like that. A small grin graced her face and she wondered how her only sibling had fared, helping set up. With that thought in mind, the petite girl walked from her shared room and headed in the general direction of the crowd.
Entering the gym, she paused to stare, mouth dropping open in awe. It had really changed! She walked slowly on inside, staring around until movement just to the side of her caught her attention, and she turned with a wide grin to face her brother, who, it appeared, had spotted her and approached while she'd been oogling the gym. "It's beautiful!" She exclaimed while grabbing her sibling by the jacket sleeve, "Come on, Chris! I want to dance!" Ash had noticed immediately that not many people were dancing, and she had made her brother promise to share at least one dance with her. Both siblings enjoyed dancing, oddly enough. With a grin, Ashleigh pulled her brother onto the dance floor, intent on just having fun and enjoying the night. She'd missed being able to hang out with her older brother anytime she wanted, as they were on different schedules, so this was a treat indeed!

As Lindsey was getting associated again with Jackson, she was approached by Kendall; a person she had seen areound the barn a few times. As she mentioned about Lindsey's apparel, she nodded at the women. I understand, and I am very sorry about the misunderstanding. I will be changing, and returning. Lindsey told Jackson a quick goodbye; and headed out of the gym to return to her dorm room. She had another dress, a few actually, since she didn't know about any dances if there were to be any. Changing out and into another; she smoothed down the new, midnight purple, with specks of shimmer on the cloth she then headed out of the dorm room again; and towards the gym.
Walking inside she walked back to her stance beside her friend, where they talked until more people showed up. She appreciated the teacher telling her, before she had gotten in serious trouble; that would wind her up in a place she didn't want to be in. She just hoped that she wouldn't have to go through anything like that again.

Nina has always dreamed of this moment. It has been so long since she has gone to a dance, especially a formal. The last recalled dance would be her family reunion. So that didn't count, unlike this one at Blue Ridge Academy. This is going to be the best night of her life! She already informed her sisters about it, back in Toronto, Canada. She was glad this moment as finally come to reality. She has already picked out this light blue, brownish, and greyish tri-colored, single strapped dress. It was just perfect for today's occasion. She loved how it had some a bit of a flowing layer on top and a sparkling clip at the waist of the dress. She slipped it on and looked at herself in the mirror with her hair down and curls flowing down with her dress. She absolutely adored the dress. She grinned to herself as she got on some simple earrings. That had a hint black, but it wouldn't hurt that it didn't match just a bit. She searched through her closet for her silver heels as she finally found them. She slipped them on and took a look in the mirror. Since her dress was long and covered up her heels, she really didn't mind. As long as she at least won't make a fool of herself on her best night ever. She quickly curled the ends of her hair a bit more and decided to do a quick side braid until she reached the center and just clipped with a regular transparent bobby pin. It would seem too much sparkles if she added a fancy clip. She put a quick thin layer of lip gloss, some eye shadow, and very little mascara. She smoothed out her dress and grabbed a jacket in case it would get cold when the dance is over. She gave a deep sigh to calm herself once more as she went over to go to the formal. She walked in through the gym and was surprised how great the gym got transformed in to. The cheerleaders did a great job, even more than great! She was impressed. She gave a ghostly smile to herself before letting out a real, yet light, smile when she spotted her friends. She walked by and waved to Sara and the other girls with her and anyone else she knew. She went over to Belle and grinned as she approached. "Hey Belle, nice to see you again." She continued giving her grin as she looked around, spotting Sam and giving her a wave and smile and the same with all the other people she knew. It was nice to make some friends or two, here or there. She wondered who else might decide to pop up around this special event.

Running the wand over her eyelashes again, and again; Diamond finally settled for the look of them. She brushed back her straghtened hair, something she didn't normally do. Walking to the mirror that was placed in her dorm, she checked herself in the dress. The white and gold shimmered dress, ran down her. She had a shorter dress chosen; but then decided better not; and to play it safe. The last thing she needed was her dad or mom hearing about it. It looked good; but she didn't know..... It felt like it needed something. Taking a clutch from her closet, Diamond settled on a nice gold colored one; and placed all her nessecities in it. Moving her hair around to the sides of her head, she walked out of the dorm room; feeling clumsy in the dress. Making her way to the gym, she stopped outside; ran a hand through her hair, and walked inside. First thing she did was scan the room for anyone she knew. Nobody it seemed; which was a big bummer. Walking over to a table, she stood watching the door; awaiting for someone to walk into the room. Soemone that she knew.

Jenna delayed getting ready for the dance long enough, and finally talked herself into her room to get ready. This would be her first dance going to alone, and she really didn’t know that many people, so at least she may get to meet some new people. In her room her dress hung, waiting to finally be used. It had been sitting there for at least two weeks. Smart Jenna got her dress somewhat later than usual. First thing she grabbed her curler and began with her hair. While her curler heated up, Jenna searched for her hair pins and plopped down next to her vanity. Her hair curled with ease, looking awesome compared to what she thought it would before. It took hours to finish curling all of her thick hair, but with some hair pins to pin her hair in the back she looked stunning. She pulled her hair over to the side spraying the curls into place. Purposely she had left a large chunk of hair alone, and began braiding it. Once she finished that, she wove the braid through the rest of her hair, and pinned the end underneath so you couldn’t see the ending. Last but not least, she added a studded hair clip to add some glittery affects. Her jewelry consisted of a studded necklace matching earrings, and a studded tennis bracelet. Quickly she put them on, ogling herself in the mirror even before she had done her makeup. She glanced down at her bare right wrist. Her lower lip popped out. ”No corsage. Oh well, you will live.” She turned to her makeup stash and began adding eyeliner, followed by a light grey eye shadow. Not enough to look ridiculous, but enough to accent them softly. Jenna then began applying a liquid concealer, followed by a soft pink blush to the cheek bones. Her lips were last. She added a bright red lip gloss, let it sink in for a while, then grabbed a tissue and dabbed off most of it. The result was beautifully stained lips, and a beaming teenager. Finally she got her dress down from the hanger and out of the bag. The hot pink dress slid on easily, and zipped up in the back just as easily. She looked awesome. All that was left were her shoes. Before leaving she slipped on her hot pink sling back high heels. They weren’t exactly the correct hue, but her dress was long enough to hide them anyway. …………… Jenna walked into the gym, admiring the fine job the cheerleaders did. It couldn’t have been the easiest task, but they pulled it off well. The first person Jenna recognized was Sara. She floated over to the other girl and smiled. ”Wow Sara, this place looks amazing. You guys did a great job on it.” Jenna complimented her hard work, and also told her that her dress looked awesome, but then quickly made her way over to Savannah who was alone at one of the tables. ”Hey Savannah. You look amazing.” She smiled as she sat down near the girl so she had pretty much an open view of everyone in the gym. There were tons of girls in the gym, but only 3 or 4 boys around, which was sad for Jenna to see. Her eyes stopped on a cute boy over by the punch bowls.

Savannah heard her name and turned around, wondering who exactly knew her name by now, and immediately recognized the girl from the tack store... Jenna, right? She smiled to the girl and looked her up and down, raising an eyebrow. "Well don't you look hot tonight? Looking to pick up a last minute date?" She laughed as the other girl sat down. She noticed Jenna's wandering eyes had landed on something, or someone. When Savannah turned to see who it was, she noticed a cute boy standing by the food table, sipping on some punch. "Correction, in the process of picking up a date." She smiled to her, further examining the boy. He was cute, in a sort of dorky but sexy way. She nodded her head in agreement and turned back to Jenna. "I say go for it, girl. You have nothing to lose there. Plus, if he says no, there will be plenty of other guys coming later." She smiled to her, urging the girl to go talk to him.
Savannah had yet to find a boy that she would go after, since none of them seemed to fit the bill with her. Every guy at the school was either decent or not up to par with her. She liked the guys that took your breath away, the ones that made you drop whatever you're holding and stare open mouthed. Those were the kinds of guys you'd see her with, because in reality, she was that same kind of girl, and when you put together one of those guys with one of those girls, you got a couple that was to die for. That was her style.

Jenna smiled at Savannah’s comment about how she looks. ”Why thank you.” She said in a slightly stuck up tone, as if to say it was obvious, but couldn’t keep the grin off her face. Jenna obviously was ignoring the second part of what the other girl had said as she sat down. She hadn’t realized that when she was looking at the boy she made it so obvious. Her cheeks flushed red and she decided to play dumb. ”What?” Her voice was as if she was dumbfounded, but Savannah would be able to see through that easily. ”Should I really go talk to him?” She asked curiously, wondering if it would be a good idea or not.
Her feet tapped slightly off beat but were quiet enough that no one could really hear them. Jenna sighed heavily as she looked at Savannah, debating whether or not she was going to go talk to him at all. She rolled her neck for a quick second then stopped. ”So, do you want some punch?” Jenna asked nonchalantly though she was hoping that Savannah would say yes so she had a reason to introduce herself to the boy. A whole conversation was being planned out it her head, though it kept changing as she went along, trying to figure out how she would introduce herself.

Cannon really didn't want to go, but his suit and tie were staring him down as he sat in his room. Why did he even mention it to his parents? He should have known they'd send him a new suit to look nice as he stood around drinking punch and searching for another guy to talk to among the mass of girls. He sighed and stood up, knowing he'd feel bad about it later if he just stayed in his room all night. Plus, who knew, maybe it would actually be fun... Yeah, who was he kidding. He got up and pulled the black jacket and slacks out of their bag, along with the pristine white dress shirt, black tie, and blue patterned pocket square. He stripped off his towel and started to dress in his attire, while making sure his hair dried the way he wanted it to, and once he was dressed, he pulled on a pair of lightweight socks and his black dress shoes. He checked his phone to see if anyone was texting him, and then checked Facebook to see what the statuses were about. All of the people from school were posting pictures of their dresses and suits, 'off to the winter ball!'. He sighed and slid it into his pocket. They were all headed to the dance... and so was he. He walked out of the door and across campus to the gym. Once he opened the door, he was taken aback by how different it looked. They'd really done a great job. He scanned the room for anyone he knew, immediately spotting Diamond sitting a table staring at the door. He smiled to her, nodding her way as he walked over to her. "Well look at you, the party pooper." He said to her with a grin, no longer holding back the accent. He'd told her that past weekend about it, and now he felt okay about using it at school.

Savannah smiled at Jenna's fake tone, rolling her eyes over dramatically. "You little priss." She laughed at her. She then smirked when Jenna realized she'd caught her in the act. "Hey, I say go for it. If you've got it, flaunt it. And girl, tonight you've got it." She said to her with a wink. It couldn't work out any better in Jenna's favor. He was alone, he was cute, and didn't seem to be there with anyone. If she didn't make a move soon, maybe Savannah would, just to prove her point.
She could see the thoughts racing, the words being formed in her mouth, and her diabolical plan coming together in mere seconds. When she proposed they go get some punch Savannah's mouth curled up at one end. "Why, darling, I thought you'd never ask." She said to her with a laugh, standing up and waiting for her to do the same before they would make their way over to the punch bowl. Savannah could only hope that Jenna could take care of herself in this situation, and though she knew the girl was perfectly capable, she was still worried she'd have to step in at times.

Diamond watched as others poured into the gym and some started to dance, while others stood in place. She noticed a familar figures from campus, all looking great in their attire; but no one she could just go up to and have a nice conversation with.
She felt like she was about to fdall asleep she was getting bored and fast, when a familar face came up to her andcommented to her. Jolting her eyes open she could make out that it was Cannon just by his joke. Thanks makes me feel so much better.she said a smile on her face.
Dances aren't really my thing, not my type really.she told him. Diamond had only planned on coming for a little while; and then leaving the place if she didn't have any fun. That would be changing probaly now. Although everything looked good she thought out that maybe she'd hit town when she got back to her dorm. It was quiet now that her dog had gone away; and her cat, but she knew that Cannon's parents would take good care of them.
Looking back at him he looked good in his attire this evening as well.

Lucy had been waiting for someone, anyone she had known to walk in. She smiled at some of the cheerleaders who she saw, since they all had organized the dance themselves. She watched as many people came into the gym, and she noticed a familar back of a head. He headed for the table with the punch, and Lucy flew past all the other people in the gym; towards the guy himself.
She casually walked over to him and knew that it was Leo as soon as he turned around to face her more. She walked over next to him; already in awe at the brunette boy who was diffrent than every other boy she'd met here on campus. He was one of the only ones that actually got to her.
Hey. How has it been? she asked him walking up to him. She decided to start with something a little down key and more in his range than in hers. It would probaly be for the best of both of them. More for her sake. She liked him; and she also noticed a few others in the room that seemed to have there eyes on him as well.
