Shine a light through an open door
Full Name>>Laurena Callum Sithis
Nicknames>> Almost everyone calls her Cal.
Age>> December 31, 1995; 16.
Staff or Student>> Student.
House>> Red Ribbon House
Gender>> Female.
Sexuality>> Heterosexual.
Face Claim>> Cara Delevingne.
Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Cal has a very straight foward attitude. If you know her well enough, you would know she's very blunt, without any real filter; she doesn't have a problem telling something to your face. She is really funny, and is known infamously as the "class clown". She's incredibly outgoing, and isn't the least bit shy. Her biggest talent is public speaking. She is a really good friend, she can keep a secret. She defines herself as a "closet-intellect" as she keeps her intelligence between her and her teachers. She is the ultimate laid-back person, and prides herself on living in a stress-free environment. She puts most of her effort into her riding, and the remaining effort into homework -- but only when said homework is almost due. In certain situations, such as being the "new kid" she feels pressured and slightly uncomfortable, usually resulting in her either saying way too much or talking really fast. Although she is really charismatic, perhaps her biggest downfall is her inability to read people. She can't tell when someone is being sarcastic, or if someone is joking rather than being serious.
Likes>> HORSES, public speaking, making silly faces, political science, making people laugh, pop punk music, mexican food, anime, the NBA
Dislikes>> Snotty girls, people who "try too hard", country music, western riding, dogs, vanilla scented perfume
Fears>> Spiders, failing a class
Hopes>> To become a great rider, to go off to college and major in political science
Secrets>> She's dyslexic, but NO one will ever find that out.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Cal is about 5 foot 17, and she weighs 130 pounds. She is thin, but has toned legs from riding. She has long, dirty blonde hair, and light blue eyes. Her eyebrows are pretty low-set on her face. Her bottom row of teeth is spaced out, but she refuses to get braces. She wears a lot of obnoxious t-shirts, which always get her into trouble. She keeps her hair down, unless she's riding. She doesn't wear much makeup, nor does she do anything special to her hair. She never wears jewelry either. She normally wears jeans, a t-shirt, and some sort of oxford shoe. While riding, she rides almost exclusively in breeches, and paddock boots with half chaps, and a polo.
Markings>> Zero piercings.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> She has broken her nose twice, from falling off her horse and face-planting into the jump. Her only illness is her dyslexia.
Criminal History>> No.
Full History>> Cal was born in Southern California, along side her twin sister, Joanna. Joanna loved soccer, Cal loved horses. Her family lived in a modest, 3 bedroom home right outside of San Diego, in horse country. Cal's mom is an Equine Vet, and her father a Public Defender. Her family is by no means wealthy. As a child, Cal hated seeing her sister get to play soccer, while she sat at home wishing her family could afford lessons. When her father got promoted, he got a nice little salary bump. With months of pleading and begging, Cal's parents agreed to send Cal to riding lessons, at the local barn. There, Ca learned the basics of English riding ; from the posting trot to jumping small crossrails. At the stable, Cal always got unlucky on what school horse she was going to ride. She either got the crazy OTTB, the slow Quarter Horse, or the 17hh draft-cross. As Cal started to show, her trainer and parents discussed purchasing her a horse. Finally, she got her first horse, a 5 year old, Norweigan Fjord mare named Lady. Cal showed flat courses with Lady, as Lady doesn't jump.
In school, Cal was always getting calls home, due to her excessive obnoxious behavior and jokes. Cal always had tons of friends, but never a super close one. She spent most of her time at the barn, riding Lady on the flat, and school horses over fences.
At age 16, Cal's parents decided to further their daughter's riding talents by sending her to the prestigious riding/boarding school, Blue Ridge Academy. Cal is super ecstatic, and can not wait to begin her new life. Her parents also surprised her by allowing her to bring Lady along with her.
