A odd feeling ate at Sarah's iron guts as she handed the wadded dollar bills to the burly cab driver and stepped into the snow covered parking lot. Nervousness? Sarah nearly laughed at the suggestion. She did not get nervous. She was Sarah Elizabeth Greenfield for crying out loud! In fact, her name got other riders nervous. But a tiny voice inside her head dared to whisper that the next chapter she was turning to was unlike anything that she had ever done before.
Taking a tiny breath the way she did before she entered the show ring, Sarah hiked her duffle back over her shoulder and tugged gently at her rolling suitcase. Before she could think twice she was pulling the door open and walking in, pausing at the wooden desk.
"Hello," she greeted coolly, evenly, her face holding a buisness-like smile. "My name is Sarah Greenfield, I'm checking in as the new Show Jumping Instructor." She quickly unzipped her duffle bag and plucked out a crisp, torn envelope with a neatly typed paper in it, handing it to the young receptionist who sat behind the desk. Drumming her fingers lightly on the wood she looked past the desk and out towards the rest of campus through the window. The faster she got finished her, the faster she could check out the stables!
