History and Temperament: This little lady was found in a slaughter pen.
It is assumed that her owners threw her away after she didn't
do well on the track.

Name: Barčinka (pronunciation: Bar-ching-ka)
Breed: Czechoslovakian Small Riding Pony
Height: 13.2
History and Temperament: This mare was rescued from an abandoned farm. She is severely underweight (some vets have said that she is too far gone). As well as being starved she has wounds on her legs and flanks that are thought someone attacked her with an electric cattle-prod.

History and Temperament: This girl is young and no one knows how much handling she has had, she was chased into the float through a cattle-race. She has an inquisitive personality so it will be interesting to see what she knows.

History and Temperament: This girl has some trust issues so it will take some time to break through the wall she had built up around herself. From her muscles she may have been a jumper at some point, but she has lost condition and toning from poor paddock management.

History and Temperament: This big lady, even though found in a bare paddock (her footing was sand, so there was nothing for her to eat at all), she has the sweetest of temperaments and loves everyone.

Name: Aphrodite's Aftershock (Astro)
Breed: Morgan
Height: 14.3
History and Temperament: This boy was abandoned after his firey temper couldn't be cured by gelding him (when he was 8). He is bad tempered, but doesn't have any stallion tendencies even though he was gelded late (there is a chance he was already gelded when his owners tried to do it). Is being treated for an infection.

Height: 15.2
History and Temperament: This gelding was found tethered to a fence post in the side of a country road. Due to the circle of grass that had been trodden down and the amount of manure, it was obvious that he had been there for a while with no water and only the grass at his feet to eat. He is trained well and it would be interesting to see what this guy can actually do.

History and Temperament: Don't let her stunning looks fool you. This girl is flightly and spooks easily. Not a lot is known of her past before she was found in a slaughter yard, but there isn't a lot that doesn't send her flying across the paddock. Destroys her stall so she lives outside.

History and Temperament: This mare was abused for all of her life (it is assumed she is around 10). She has a distrust of people and was terrified of going through gates (so she lives outside to make life a little less stressful for her).
