David got up from his bed, 6'2 frame sitting up as he stared at the floor groggily. David didn't know what it was, but something about winter just seemed to hit him like a freight train. Everyday he felt like he was hung over, like the world was moving in slow motion, cautiously passing him by, everything was a blur during the winter season, and he had no clue as to why. Perhaps it was because for all of his life, David lived in Arizona, the valley, usually scorching hot. Well, to most it was pretty hot, but David had grown accustomed to it, adapted to the constant climate of the area. It was almost as if his body was trying to put him into hibernation or something, which could make sense due to the fact he was pretty large, tall and muscular, he could be like a bear if he needed. David groaned and wiped his large hand over his face. There was already enough proof of that. Flashes of that day when he just lost control burned steadily in his mind, coming back regularly. Another thing had fueled his rage that day. Samantha DeVere. That name made him... have indescribable feelings. For David to talk about Samantha... it was never good, it tore him into pieces just thinking about her. Which is what it did right then, as the large figure shuffled towards the bathroom to get ready to brush and make sure everything was up to standards with Lilith. David halted, pulling to an abrupt stop as Samantha entered his mind. David shut his chocolate brown eyes, Nope, you will not think about her, not let her tear you into pieces. She is gone, a piece of the past. Forget about her. Despite the fact that there was a heater inside, David couldn't help but feel chilled and he soon, in his desensitized state, slid across the floor, falling slightly as his wool socks proved to be no avail in his hope for keeping balance. David caught himself with one arm, and shook his head. Well how much fun would that have been? None at all.
Not for him, or his room mate. David got up at the crack of dawn, he couldn't help it. No matter where he was, what time zone, something in his head just chimed 'It's dawn, get your butt up.' Sighing David walked into the bathroom pulling on a regular white t-shirt and some dark jeans. David stared at himself in the mirror, with the expression of an animal just waking up from being sedated. Turning the faucet on, David turned the cold one all the way back then ran his fingers through the water to make sure it was cold. Here goes nothing. Then, David cupped both of his hands, put them under the running water, listening for a moment to the sound the water made, then leaned his head down and washed it over his face. David sighed and blinked, Well, that really had no affect. Shaking his head, David picked up the hand towel and moved it over his face. Running his fingers through his hair a few times, David shrugged his broad shoulders and then going out of the bathroom, grabbed his thick jacket, swung it over his shoulder and opened the doors to brave the outside. After walking outside of the house, David figured it wasn't too bad... but it was lightly snowing. Though David didn't plan on riding, he decided maybe he'd groom Lilith and spend some time with her, maybe put on a heavier blanket, just one that was a little bit heavier. That darker thing began to creep up in his mind again, reminding him about Samantha. Something about today just wanted him to remember her and everything she had done to him.
The girl had crushed his heart, everyone wondered why he shoved those who cared about him away. If they ever heard the story, they would know why and never question him again. It hadn't been to hard to see that David had loved her, stealing glances at her as she walked down the hall way. He really fell in love with her the moment she walked in those doors for the first time, the girl from the big city of New York, beautiful, funny, perfect. Then the girl got messed up with them. The malice and hatred David felt for those girls was extraordinary, unbelievable. When Samantha had gotten screwed up with them, she changed, it was all over. David still loved her, for the hope she would get better, become her old self. When he got the courage to ask her out and when she said yes, he thought things were finally beginning to dawn, get better. Then he gave her his mother's ring and then, things got bad. He walked in on Samantha and his best friend, and learned she was cheating on him. David had been stunned, and in Samantha's feeble attempt to scrape some of her dignity together, had started to scream at him and thrown his mother's ring at his face. He had to give it to her, she had good aim. As the ring had clattered to the floor, David merely picked it up, and left. That was when he broke.
Those boys.... they had it coming, then in a flash he lost sight of everything around him and the next thing he remembered, he was being yanked away from the poor, senseless boy and held back. Then there was court appearances and then, Juvenile Detention Center. Then, endless time. Everything with Samantha had happened... maybe, two years ago? It was no secret he still loved her. David was still in a fragile state slightly, so really he was in no position to think about her. David, absent minded, rubbed Alice's ring in between his fingers that were in his jean pockets. Sighing, David slowly approached the barn. Man it was cold, he rubbed his hands together, and pulling the collar of his jacket up. David chuckled, watching his breaths forming into clouds of mist. Hustling down the aisle of stalls, David caught sight of his golden girl. Looking down, David kept walking before he heard something. His chocolate orbs looked up slowly, just darting up, but his head staying in place. His breath formed into a mist as he spoke, his irises disbelieving, shock on his face. Samantha?

Samie sighed as it has been a few days since she has arrived here at Blue Ridge. So far, nothing has really changed in her. Still the snob she is and still has a heart for this one guy who is oddly tracking down. She doesn't know what got in to her. Why did it have to be one person who has to break her and realize how love truly is. Friends, family, and many more. If it happened, she knew there was something special that must be done.
She soon gets images of back in Arizona. Her grandparents sending her to this high school, she suddenly became a real mean person just to become queen bee. Of all the years, it had to be until now that she realizes what she has done in the past. Well it's all too late to change now. Continuing on, she thought about how she started out in using the man who truly asked her out. "David.." His name suddenly escaped through her pressed lips from the cold of the weather. The memories attacked her, how she cheated on him and ho she never really gave him a real chance. It was just all a mistake. She shut her mind out of it. She couldn't take it any longer. She has to talk to him. The one who could actually be the one who could make her a better person, a better life than what was done in the past. She has to at least make it up to him. One thing she has to know, will he even accept her forgiveness?
She was originally just standing out in the cold at the entrance of the barn. Wearing her riding jeans, and a warm purple jacket over her barn clothes. She was hoping in surprising David. After bugging his sister, Kayla, she knew about how he would always wake up at the crack of dawn just to meet his horse. The name of his horse, she recalled from, was Lilith. "How did I drag myself into this?" She cursed under her breathe as she shivered in the cold before heading into the barns. She took a deep breathe in of the wooden barn and let it out, creating a slight cloud of a white mist. She stood near the entrance for a while and looked up at the white sky, as the snow fell slowly. Luckily it wasn't snowing as worse as she thought. She thought about Hex, and decided to just visit him in his stall. Lilith's stall wasn't as far away from Hex in the White Oak barn. Since their show names aren't as miles away in the alphabet from A-P. So maybe when David comes, he will spot her almost near Lilith's stall, hoping he doesn't mind the surprise.
She petted her horse's neck and nose as she waited for the guy she knew since high school. 'Will he remember me?' She thought in her mind, frowning. She then heard a voice that just made her jerk her head and get her attention like a 'snap'. It was him, it wasn't, no it is. The 6'2" frame, chocolate orbs, and as well muscular. It was him. She heard him say her name. She just shied away, her slightly curled brown hair hid her face, before she tucked it behind her ear. "Yeah, it's me... Just call me Samie if you want." She glanced at the ground before looking back up. She never backs down from a situation. She then took a calm breathe and looked at him. "We need to talk."
