Hearing the pleasant sounds that the area of the barn tended to make; Spencer smiled as she took a soft brush to the area of Luna's back. The horse had her head held high up, interested in every small thing of the barn. It hadn't been long since Spencer got here, she just didn't have the whole "new" thing down yet. Making friends wasn't easy for her either.
Taking a "trail bridle" off the edge of the stall door, she watched as Luna's ears perked forwards. Slipping the reins over the girl's head she then put the bridle on like a halter, snapping the latches together quickly before Luna had time to pull out of it.
Taking the horse's reins in her hand, Spencer led the mare out of the stall and down the aisle of the barn. Leading her out aways before she mounted up; Spencer noticed the outer exterior of the barn, quiet looking. Mounting the dappled mare; she started at a walk down to the Rocky Ridge Trails.
Spencer walked along the path with Luna taking in her surroundings and looking out for anyone. She decided on a nice little opening for awhile; not wanting to rush the ride. Letting Luna walk freely around the opening, Spencer adjusted herself on the mare's back closing her eyes for a bit; thinking about their transferr here. It had been a long one and she wasn't sure if they were going to stay.
Moving into her normal position again, Luna perked her ears and swiveled her head around quickly. Looking around for the attention seeker; Spencer was caught off guard as Luna reared and then threw her forwards. Falling on the ground, Spencer sat up straight; and she could feel a scratch that had formed on her; and it was bleeding slightly.

It had been only a few hours since Cello had arrived to the academy, yet he was far too excited to explore the area. He was quite certain the trails were very different from the ones back home. Even the cold weather couldn’t stop him now as he pulled on a pair of jeans and boots. Max was nearly as daring as him, though the horse certainly got much more spooked than Cello ever did. The boy gave every single person he met a quick grin, and a few winks to some of the girls though of course, there was never much behind them.
The Spaniard, much to his distaste found himself looking somewhat stupid as he walked around with a map in front of his face. Cello soon resorted to giving it a few peeks every so often to look for where he was going because he had indeed gone to the barn as soon as he had come! He should have been able to find it much easier. The boy ran a hand through his hair somewhat annoyed. He needed his signature cap look. Unfortunately caps didn’t fit under helmets and he was left with his brown hair shining under the sun.
Cello shivered slightly. It was cold in this country, no matter how well he’d bundled himself up. Walking heavily into the barn, he whistled a soft Spanish tune before hearing the familiar, proud whinny of Max. Much to the boy’s disappointment, there was no one in the barn so far and he was slowly dying of lack of socialization. Cello was simply one of those people that couldn’t go on without someone else’s company. Chuckling at the gelding as he came up to the stall door, Cello held out his hand receiving a wet lick. “Ai Max!” The boy laughed making a face before smearing it on his shirt. He did a little dance for his horse “Looks nice, no?”
After talking to his horse for a moment, Cello grabbed Max’s halter and led the animal out into the cross ties. The horse spooked one or two times, simply at the lack of familiarity though the brunette was quite ready for it. Cello got his horse ready slowly simply due to the clutter of the tack box he’d brought since the contents had shifted in the plane. He sighed slightly, too lazy to organize it. He needed to ride.
Finally, Max stood gleaming and tacked up for the boy and Cello played with the horse’s bottom lip a moment before slipping in the animal’s bit. He was quite sure where he was going due to the map and naturally, the boy had wanted to try out one of the hardest trails in the area first. Leading the bay tobiano out, Cello slipped a foot into the stirrup and mounted up. He’d stuffed his map into one of his jacket pockets to make sure they wouldn’t get lost (one of the smart things he’d ever done) and started off; warming up his horse on the way.
A few moments into the trails and Cello was quite amazed. It was so beautiful here. In Spain it had been beautiful as well, but here, it was a different kind of beauty. Of course, he felt a bit like a sissy for thinking about how pretty view was, but he actually did think it looked very nice. Finally something other than a rock caught his attention as a girl and her horse came into view. The girl seemed to be relaxing and looking around as he had, though his eyes widened slightly as the horse reared up and the girl actually fell off. Hurriedly, Cello pushed Max up to them, calming his horse at the same time before dismounting and going over to where the girl was. “Madre de Dios, are you practicing your flying skills?” he grinned at her, but was still a bit concerned. “I should give you a negative two! Though, may I ask, are you alright?”

Spencer watched as Luna perked her ears and dropped her head down. Spencer looked towards the way the ears had been pointing and she spotted a horse's figure. Not just that, but a boy; around her age. He was hurridly racing towards her, and he said something in a language she couldn't understand. Standing up as he talked to her, she raised her brow. Then shook her head.
Yeah....I'm fine. Can I ask who you are? she asked him. She didn't see him around campus, but then again she didn't see a lot of people. Looking at his horse she could tell that he was a good care taker. The horse gleamed and she smiled when Luna whinnnied. Nudging her rider to get back on; the mare hit her shoulder a bit, and Spencer stroked the girl's mane and head.
Beautiful horse. she said not being able to take her eyes off of him. Then glancing up at the boy she saw something in his eyes that she hadn't seen in any others. She bit her lip and then looked back at her horse. Smiling a bit, something she didn't do often.
