Nadifa was rather glad that she had arrived at Blue Ridge with ample time before the start of term, as it had allowed her to set up her laboratory to her meticulous standards. Teaching three different subjects meant that she required a range of equipment to be available, and so the cabinets and cupboards that lines the walls of the room were both well-stocked and carefully labeled. High tables were placed in rows across the room, carefully aligned to take advantage of the preexisting gas taps from which one's Bunsen burners would run, stools drawn up beneath them in readiness for students. The tables themselves were clear, and the light streaming in from the wide windows that made up much of one wall illuminated the class brightly.
She deliberately entered her classroom, and feeling something of a proprietorial thrill at being able to call it such, far earlier than was needed, desiring some time to center herself in preparation for the day's classes. Little preparation for the class itself was actually needed, as she had drawn up lesson plans far in advance, organised her materials to an almost ridiculous level and constructed multiple mental charts to deal with a variety of potential situations. In short, she was as ready as she ever would be, but she wanted some moments to herself on her first day as a teacher.
University and teacher training had not prepared her for the rather astounding thought that, today, she would be responsible for the education of students, responsible for the nurturing of young minds and the discipline of children. Her own memories of high school were far from pleasant - indeed, little had ever pleased her more than being able to leave school, for while education had ever been her forte, other people had not - and were not yet distant enough that the sting of them was forgotten, but she well remembered the impact that teachers had had upon her. Mr. Barker, who had given her purpose and a listening ear, Mrs. Craig who had been angry and defensive when confronted with the fact that she was incorrect, Ms. Fredricks who had always had a word of encouragement and yet limited skills at passing knowledge on, Mr. Johns who had never listened - she knew she would never possess the qualities, good and bad, to be those teachers, entirely pragmatic enough to not wish to emulate most of them, and yet she had to wonder how she would be viewed by her students.
Well, it mattered a great deal, but she could do nothing to change herself, not in a substantial fashion, and so her students would have to take her as she was, strengths, faults and all.
Rising noise in the corridor outside alerted Nadifa to the fact that classes would be starting shortly, and she returned to the front of the class from where she had been idly gazing out through the windows. She was impeccably dressed in a dark trouser suit, eyes dark and serious as she leaned against her desk, gaze towards the door, and waited for her students.

Olivia picked up her backpack and headed towards the classroom, walking quickly. She had started slightly late, so she wasn't as early as perhaps would have been advisable, but she wouldn't be later to class. As she walked, she noted her reflection in the windows and glanced at it. Simple shirt, simple loose pants, tennis shoes. All comfortable, and not at all stylish, just the way she usually dressed. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, a remnant form her eighth grade science class. The teacher had always forced them to tie their hair back, no matter what they were doing, or anything.
She glanced into the room that was the biology classroom and realized that she was the first student there. She took a deep breath, then walked into the classroom, smiling at the teacher, "Good morning." She glanced at the whiteboard, but didn't see anything written there, about where to sit or anything. She stepped out of the door, just in case someone else needed to come in, and looked around the room, "Do you have a preference as to where we sit, or may we chose our own seats?"

Roxie pressed her hands against her yellow dress as she walked toward her next class. She loved school, but she knew that Biology was going to be her worst class since she hated dealing with dead animals. Just thinking about it wanted to make her puke a little. Roxie's Toms flats made hardly any sounds as she walked up the steps of the school and opened the door. She wore a light diem jacket over her arms so she wouldn't get introuble for showing her shoulder or something stupid like that. She didn't even know if there was any clothing rules for this school, but its better to be safe than sorry. Roxie walked into the Boilogy room seeing a women at the front and a girl just standing. Good Morning, Roxie said to the teacher then looked at the girl who looked familier, maybe they took some classes together? Roxie noticed that the girl asked a question about seating so she just stood away from the door just incase the teacher wanted them to sit in assigned seating. Roxie moved her curly hair with her right hand and just flashed the girl and lady a smile. Luckly Roxie remember a hair tie and a hair band so that her hair wouldn't be in the way for anything they did. Outfit

Lindsey had been running from class to class all morning, trying to find out where everything was. Looking down at her schedule, she saw her messy handwriting that said Biology. Stuffing the paper into her bag, Lindsey started to walk down the corridor. She wasn't too far away from the class, but didn't want to be late. Reading off in her head which room was which, Lindsey finally found the Biology classroom. Excited to get out of the crazed corridor, she walked inside revealing a teacher, and another student. Giving a smile Lindsey said, "Good morning, to both of you." and then walked to see if anything was on the board. Nothing, which means they didn't know where to sit. As the other girl had already beaten her to it, Lindsey waited for a response from the teacher as well. Looking around the room, Lindsey saw that all the cabinets were labeled and they all looked pretty full, as she could tell by the one cabinet sticking out a bit. There were rows of tables to sit at, and much supplies provided. Lindsey knew she would like this class, the teacher seemed nice and the girl standing next to her as well.

Lucy had been rambling on and off all day long. Trying to find where Biology was, she got trampled all down the long corridor. Finally seeing where you could tell which class was which, Lucy was reading them off in her head as she walked by. Finally reaching a classroom that said Biology, Lucy walked in and saw that two other girls were already there. One she had already met and didn't like so much. The other she hadn't which was good. Seeing the teacher, Lucy said, "Good morning." and then looked up to the board. Not seeing anything written, Lucy didn't know what to do or where to sit. Deciding to wait along with the other girls she stood there waiting for the teacher to tell them where they should all be seated. Looking around the room Lucy noticed that there were many tables to choose from and that the room wasn't as dull and blank as others had been. Tired from all the running around, Lucy couldn't wait to find her bed for the night, lay down, and close her eyes to finally sleep. That thought was not even close to reality.

Rin walked down the hall towards one of her last normal classes, thankfully. She couldn't wait to start her other two equine classes and see what they were all about. The blonde now approached the room of one of her favorite subjects. She loved biology, and conservation. But, she loved nature, fishing, water... everything about the outdoors. Even though horses were her primary focus and concern.
The sixteen year old swallowed meekly and entered the classroom, never hearing of the biology teacher before. Her eyes trailed to the woman, yes, the first female teacher she had. Renee smiled, less shy that she had been to the other professors. She then looked around, noticing that everyone was just standing around? She arched a blonde brow and decided to stop too, wondering why no one was sitting.
Renee pulled out her cell phone and quickly checked that it was on silent so it wouldn't go off in class. She then shoved it back in her pocket. Her eyes focused on the floor as she waited for directions from the teacher, as, it was easy to assume that's what students were doing. She lightly rocked back on her heels, then to her toes. Her eyes darted to the clock, seeing the time.

Erica dug in her bag for her phone to check the time, to make sure she wasn't late for Biology. She walked down the halls in search of the classroom. She kind of did like Biology, since she loved nature, hearing the calm waters or the creeks, and just listening to nature. She knows that mostly horses were her focus but once in a while that she should learn other things then just filling up your brain with things about horses. Might as well be a horse professor is you know everything about horses.
As she shyly entered the room, never knowing who the biology teacher was for this semester, she spotted that it was a female teacher this time. She then walked in fully and closed the door behind her. She looked around seeing people standing, why aren't they taking their seats? She guesses that she missed something so she just stood along with the group. She then spotted Renee and smiled as she quietly scooted over to stand next to her. She gave a silent wave towards her in hello as she waited for the teacher's instructions for class today.

Beck walked down the halls in search of Biology. He was still new to Blue Ridge so he didn't know much of where everything is. After a few minutes or so he finally found the classroom. He slowly opened the door and peeked in. 'Oh, great. I'm the only guy here..." He thought to himself as he thought of skipping Biology. Yet he couldn't since he wants a good grade and graduate Blue Ridge. He sighed as he walked in fully and closed the door behind him.
He looked around the group as he say it was a female teacher this time. He wasn't informed of who the teacher's name was. Yet he knows that eventually she will introduce herself. He then saw no one sitting down. Were they instructed not to? He just shrugged and blended in with the crowd, which was just stop and stand while you wait for the teahcer's instructions, apparently. He hoped they can get this class started soon, or at least hopefully just one guy would come in, then he wouldn't be the only guy the girls would flirt with.

Avalon was super new to Blue Ridge. She came during the day before the classes started again for this semester. She kind of dashed over to her next class which was Biology. She thought she was late, when she finally found the classroom to Biology, she dug in her bag finding her phone and checked the time. She hoped she wasn't too late. She opened the class door slowly and peeked in. She noticed there was a group of people just standing. She wondered why they haven't tooken their seat. She then just shrugged and walked in fully, closing the door behind her and stood with the crowd. She wasn't informed on who the teacher was for Biology. She glanced through the group of people and noticed it was a female instructor for Biology today. She looked around the classroom as she waited for Biology to start. She kind of liked Biology, since she was close to nature and all, and close to her horse obviously. She wondered how Bonita was getting use to Blue Ridge like Avalon was.

With a groan, Amber jolted out of bed. She pushed her copper hair back into the ponytail before pulling a pair of ripped jeans on. She adjusted her light green tank top, slipping into her grey, black, and white plaid converses and her bag before patting her two cainie's heads and racing out the door.
She slid to a stop as she neared the classroom. She peeked her head in and smiled at the women, who she guessed, was the teacher and a group of students, standing around.
" Good Morning.." She chirped happily and softly, before smiling at Roxie and Lindsey. She looked at the board and tilted her head, seeing nothing written. She leaned against the wall, looking around, waiting for the teacher to reply. She started to play with her fingers, feeling very shy. Other then Lindsey and Roxie, She didn't know anyone. Her copper hair became a curtain, hiding Amber's face from the others. She began to think about her two horses, who were either patiently waiting for her to come or creating havco for the other horses and riders.
' I'll be there soon, boys...' She thought to herself, a smile playing across her face. She knew Acer would probably break down his stall door when she would go. She laughed a little, thinking of the two horses, who would be pawing and probably whinning to anyone who walked by their stalls.

Oliver shoved his biology book into his backpack, thumping it on the floor when the book refused to fit in amongst the rest of the books and other things he had in there and finally with one last shove, he found that he was about to close the zip.
Racing through the academic buildings, it didn't take long to get to the science labs and then into the biology room. The boy heaved a sigh of relief as the second bell had not yet sounded, which meant that he was, indeed, not late.
Looking around the room, he saw that there were already quite a few people in the room and they were all milling around the front, which meant that there wasn't a seating plan and they were all waiting for the same thing, to know where they would be sitting.
The thought of seating plans made Oliver groan, as he could just imagine that some teacher would do the whole boy-girl thing. He didn't really have a problem with the plan, it's just it was so third grade, back when he thought that girl's had cooties and he was going to catch them just from looking at a member of the opposite sex... yes, that was until he found out what cooties really was.

Koye had been traveling from class to class today. He was getting tired but he still had some more classes to attend to. On a white piece of paper, in his hands, his schedule was copied down. Next on the list was Biology. His favorite class, of the regular classes, to go to. He had been excited for this class all week long. The rooms flew by as he was running down the halls. The first bell had rung and the second was due any moment. He finally reached the Biology room, the bell still hadn't rung either. Dang, that was close. By now he was breathing rather heavy from the run.
He looked around the room from the doorway. What was with everyone standing around? No one must have been instructed to sit. There was only two guys in the room, around eight girls and a female teacher. He snuck his way into the middle of the crowd, near one of the other guys, and shoved his hands into the pockets of his plaid cargo shorts. It was pretty awkward just standing there. He wasn't talking to anyone, just standing there with his bag slung over his shoulder.

Enna glanced down at her schedule as she shouldered her book bag. Ah, good, her next class was biology. It was one of the few mandatory classes that she actually enjoyed, and she couldn't wait to see what they would be doing this semester.
Unfortunately the biology room was on the other side of the building, so she had to sprint whenever there wasn't a teacher in the hall, and speed walk when there was. Even so she barely made it before the bell.
Upon entering the classroom Enna halted; confused by the milling crowd of students. Why was no one sitting down? The blond raised one eyebrow at the nearest boy as if he might have some explanation for the strangeness. As she waited for some form of answer Enna leaned back against the door frame, her bag slipping down from her shoulder to her right hand.

Turning a corner and crossing his fingers, Tony let out a silent crow of triumph as he saw that he had, as he'd been hoping, managed to find his biology classroom. He so had this school sorted! Or, at least, he was getting pretty good at finding out where his classes were, which was definitely a step in the right direction to a successful term. Now all he actually had to do was concentrate in class, make good notes, study so he got good grades, make some friends, do well in his riding classes, hope Twitch became less spooky... you know. Nothing much.
Wandering into the classroom behind Enna, whom he recognised from the ghost expedition, he was rather confused to see everyone kind of gathered into a little clump, and not actually sitting down, or anything. Almost walking into the back of Enna as she stopped beside the door, Tony dodged around her and, after a moment of what on earth do I do now? joined the group of students (who, now that he thought about it, were mostly all girls, for some reason), managing to situate himself next to Beck, whom he both recognised and had actually talked to before.
"Good morning," he said, chirpily, as a general greeting to everyone, and then dropped his voice as he asked Beck, "So, um, why are we all standing around?" To be fair, Beck was just as new to Blue Ridge as he was, so he might not know either, but at least the elder boy had been in the classroom before him, and therefore possibly might have received some instructions, or something.

Scarlett walked around the corner swiftly, constantly playing with her hair while clutching her books in one arm. She was nervous. Scarlett usually quite enjoyed Biology in her old school, and hoped at Blue Ridge she would enjoy a lot more lessons than in her old public school. She slowed her pace at a door she was told was the Biology room. Glancing through a window, the classroom was full of buzz, and everyone was standing up chatting in the middle of the room. She reached for the handle quietly and slipped into the class.
Scarlett stood near the door watching everyone. Telling herself that she was just wasting time, she slowly reached for an empty seat not taking her eyes of everyone. As soon as she was sitting down facing the front of the room, she placed her books on the table and curiously peered around the room. A few people looked just as confused as she was, standing around or some sitting like Scarlett. She began to drift of into a light day dream, which was usually unlike Scarlett. My gelding's somewhere out there, probably waiting for me... She sighed as impatience began building up inside of her. Realizing that no one was no longer sitting down, she reached for her books and paced herself over to a wall leaning and waiting for instruction.
