Afternoon sunlight flooded through the wide windows of Nadifa's classroom, bathing the room in a soft light as the woman in question moved around it, setting up for her third group of students, the Earth Science class. Though she had accepted the job offer at Blue Ridge entirely cognizant of the fact that she would be expected to teach four different disciplines, it was one thing understanding that and another to experience it.
Her ability to cover the material did not concern her, for though she had specialised into chemistry during her time at university, she had done a year's general science course prior, which meant that none of the subject matter was unfamiliar to her. On top of that, she took a polymath's interest in a great many things, and as such was quite as up to date on the latest developments in physics as she was in forensic science. Indeed, she was rather anticipating the opportunity to engage with varying aspects of the field she loved, and she could appreciate the beautiful theory of quantum physics just as much as she could appreciate the far less pure, geographic elements of earth sciences.
So it was not that aspect of her job that occupied Nadifa's mind as she nudged a few chairs into alignment, precisely pedantic as ever. What did was the aspect that she had expected would prove to be challenging: that of actually teaching. A year's teacher training was entirely different from standing in front of a class, on one's own, to teach, to inspire, to regulate, a group of teenagers whose ages and interests varied wildly. With two classes down and two to go, Nadifa was realising her own shortcomings in fairly short order, and could only wonder - much as she hated to do so, for she disliked uncertainly - at how things would continue to progress.
Taking a pen in hand, she partially recreated her introductory message from her chemistry class upon the board, changing the salient details: Welcome to Earth Science. I am Ms. Kahin. Please sit where you like; for today's lesson, we will not be working in groups. She had chosen to start each of her courses in a slightly different fashion, partly due to the differences in subject matter and partly because she believed that avoidable repetition was an unwelcome thing. Well aware of the fact that the sciences were often those subjects that people disliked, she was aiming to have each lesson feel fresh and slightly different, so that even if she was demanding that her students work hard, they would perhaps at least appreciate the fact that there was some thought going on behind each lesson. After all, it would probably not take long before she gained a reputation as being serious and demanding - she knew herself well enough - so she might as well try to avoid a reputation for being tedious, at least in lesson plans (tedious in other aspects? Well, that was almost inevitable).

With a smile on her face the bell rang for the last class of the day for her which she was so excitied for. She had tons of homework already and now to top it off she was going to be going to her Earth Science class. Lucky for her though after this class she could go the barn and see Mercury which she was dressed to go do. Ellie picked up her book bag and slung it over her shoulder and began walking down the long hallways as her hand covered her mouth as she began to yawn. Luckly she remember to take off her spurs and put them into her book bag and her sunglasses was placed into her bookbag aswell. Long red braids laid on each side of her head as she walked down the hall and came to a stop infront of a door. She looked at the piece of paper that was in her hand and smiled. It was the right room. She stepped over the threshold and saw a women at the front room. Ellie flashed her a smile and began walking dow the rows of tables and found her a seat by the windows. She pulled out the chair and took her seat. Good afternoon, she flashed a smile as she looked out the window waiting for more students to bustle into the classroom. Outfit

Her converse hit the floor, one after the other. Her dark look scared people away, but deep inside, she wasn't as bad as people made out. She was now at a place where she could be happy without the challenges of everyday life living on her own in her grandma's flat. It was finally the last class of the day. English Literature had dragged in the morning, w and it was now the afternoon. Alice was hot and bothered, and was on the brink of snapping at any moment due to frustration. She gritted her teeth and bit her tongue hard before entering the classroom.
The coolness of the blasting fan hit her instantly and she didn't feel as hot and bothered very suddenly. Smiling, she walked past the front desk. "Afternoon Miss," she greeted, before firmly picking a seat in the back right hand corner of the classroom. Atleast I get to ride later, Alice said to herself, sighing and looking around the classroom. Looking out the window, she scanned the field and looked at the horses out of the window, whilst awaiting the arrival of the other students.

Cortney pulled a granola bar out of her bag and opening the packet, she broke it in half and pulling one half out, she tucked the other back into her bag. She munched on the chocolate chunk bar as she headed toward the science labs. She had chosen to take Earth Science, she just hoped that it was about the earth, rather than destroying things on said earth.
She hitched her bag up her shoulder as she entered the room. "Hello, Miss." She said as she smiled at the teacher. Glancing at the board she breathed out as she saw that they could choose their own seats and that they would be working along. Sure, she was coming out of her shell, but she still preferred to work solo in class.
She sat down at a table in the middle front of the room, not the front row, but far enough forward so that there would be no chance of her looking like she was slacking off. Opening her bag her pulled out her folder and pencil case. She loved the teddy shaped case, and was slightly embarrassed by the My Little Pony pens and pencils that were inside it. Well, they had originally been boringly plain pens and pencils, but she had found wrapping paper she liked and covered the pencils and pens herself.

Miranda gave Harr a last pat before she picked up her backpack from where she had left it and headed towards the classrooms. She ducked into the restroom to wash her hands, then walked down the halls towards the science wing, knowing that she wasn't late, but hoping that she was early enough to get her mind focused. She walked into the Earth Science classroom and glanced around, noticing that there were only a few people there already. She smiled at the teacher, then silently made her way to a seat in the front, but at the side of the classroom. She put her backpack down, then pulled out her book and flipped to the page she had left off on. When the teacher called the class to order she would put it away, but she didn't want to talk, so she didn't appear rude, and anyway, she didn't really know anyone there. So, reading was the best alternative, at least in her mind. Her eyes skimmed over the pages, taking in the story of the shapeshifter Alec and his pack as they fought against a rival pack.

Walking across the campus to his next class. Luke was pretty excited for Earth Science. Just because he was pretty good with this sort of science. The teacher must have been new, he hadn't heard about Ms. Kahin. He felt the cool rush of air from the building once again as he ventured down the hallway. The young boy always wore jeans no matter what. As that is what he wore back home. With his nicer pair of work boots and a clean shirt Luke turned into the room. Only to see Miranda Florin and three other unknown girls. Which he was perfectly fine with, as women were mostly much easier to get along with for him. Taking himself to the middle of the room, he looked at the board and saw that they weren't working in groups today and seats were not assigned. He found a seat closer to the end and then kept quiet. Luke pulled out a notebook labeled Earth Science. The black and white book was accompanied by two freshly sharpened Number 2 pencils. Pulling out his book, that he rarely ever read, Where The Red Ferns Grow. It was a classic book that he kind of enjoyed reading. Every now and again he would look up and to see if anyone else had entered the room, who he might have known, but yet no one.

OOC:Riker isn't on your list, but he's signed up for the classRiker grabbed his bag, and took off to his next class, which he knew was Earth Science. He hoped he wasn't late, as he walked down the pavement acrossed the campus. He had been new and didn't know much about the school as the other kids had. Glancing at his phone, Riker saw that he had plently of time to get to the classroom, and he slowed. Walking up the steps to the Main Building, Riker looked down the long corridor. It was filled with students, and teachers for that matter! Deciding to take the left, Riker walked the hallway up and down a few times, before finally finding the Earth Science classroom. Walking in, Riker saw that there were already five students, and then the teacher, Ms.Kahin, in the room. Walking up to the desk Riker said to her, "Good morning, I'm Riker Gauge. I'm new here so I might not be on your list." he told her, knowing that he wasn't on most teacher's list this morning, since he had just transferred. As Riker read the board, it said,Welcome to Earth Science. I am Ms. Kahin. Please sit where you like; for today's lesson, we will not be working in groups. So Riker did as the board was asked and sat where he liked. He picked a seat in the back aways, not really picking to sit by anyone, yet. He didn't know anyone yet, and he hadn't been around many students.

The boy meandered from hall way to hall way, room to room, class after class. He was glad that the 'school' day was almost over. After he was out of classes, the real day would begin and he could finally go do something that he wanted to do, not what he was forced to do. But, this was Earth Science, and at least it sounded rather interesting.
Jesse looked up at the number, knowing it matched his schedule, and he entered the room, still in his jeans, boot, shirt, and ball cap. His orbs trailed to the science teacher, and he smiled warmly at her before turning to the desks to see where to sit. Right away, he saw a redhead that had 'Cowgirl' written all over her. Then, there was the classical 'goth' or emo girl in the back of the class, or course. Not wanting to stand there all day like an idiot, the seventeen year old made his way over to the table with the red head and sat down beside her, letting his bag drop to floor, "Hi," he grinned, "Ready for classes to be over with yet?" he asked, knowing he was.
He looked up at the board, eh, nothing important, and then looked back down and unzipped his bag as he pulled out a pencil and a red notebook.

Luka picked up his backpack and trapped Jethro in his room with a well-placed foot across the door, "Nein, du must hier bleiben, mein lieber." He shut the door on the 'Weegie's' mournful meow, knowing the tom would settle down as soon as he was alone. Slinging one of the straps of the bag over his shoulder, he walked out of his dorm house and across the way to where the classroom buildings stood. He had Earth Science next, and he wasn't sure of quite what to expect. He hadn't signed up for the hardest course there was, knowing that he was behind on terminology and the like, so he was hoping that this course was a bit easier in letting him learn the specific terms used.
He walked along the hallways until he came to the science wing, and thus found his class. He slipped inside the door and looked at the board, reading quickly that they could sit where they wanted, and that they would be working alone. That was a blessing, in his opinion, as he still didn't know too many people at the school. He quickly found a seat away from anyone else and pulled out a notebook and an old pen of his, both of which he laid onto his desk.

Zeke walked down the hall toward his next class on the day, English was easy for him since they were studying a book he had read and did a report on when he was homeschooled and he was starting to wonder if earth science would be just as easy as English had been, he hoped not because it would get boring studying things he had already learned before he started at Blue Ridge. He made a quick at a drinking fountain before continuing on his way toward the science room, he whistled softly as he walked. Rolling up with sleeves on his white button down shirt then he adjusted his red and black striped tie before shoving his hands into the pockets of him white jeans. He was in a good mood even though he hadn't wanted to join Blue Ridge at first he would have rather stayed in France where he had been born and raised but he was starting to like it here at Blue Ridge.
When he reached the door he stopped shook his shaggy blonde hair out of his eyes then opened the door and went in. He walked right up to the teacher with a polite smile on his face. "Hello Ms. Kahin. I am Zeke Warrick I am new here." His French accent was strong. He turned and walked to take a seat not to far from a brown hair, blue eyed girl (Cortney) with a small smile he looked at her. "Hello, I'm Zeke" He said introducing himself. His accent sorta made Hello sound more like Ello.

Charlie walked into her next class. It was Earth Science, and Science wasn't her best subject, in fact it was her worst, so she hoped it would be fun and easy. The teen sat down at a desk in the middle of the classroom. She quickly placed her book bag on the ground under her desk in a place where she wouldn't kick it, before looking up at the bored. From what she gathered, the teachers name was Ms. Kahin, and today they weren't going to be working in groups. It worked for Charlie, who disliked group work most of the time.
She quietly leaned over, and opened up her leather book bag to search for a fresh notebook and a pen to write with. Charlie was the type of girl always prepared and so she wanted to be prepared for this class also. Choosing a red coil notebook, over the blue one, and a black pen over the other option, which was a blue one, she settled in to wait for the rest of the class. Charlie also grabbed a thin felt black permanent Sharpie and quickly, but still nicely wrote "Science" on the front cover of her book. With a sigh of pride, she quickly dropped the Sharpie back in her bag and waited for the teachers instructions.

The simple seventeen year old looked around the huge building, decided on which or what way to take and go. He stared confused at his schudule, as the e and w got mixed up a lot. He asked a teacher to point him in the correct direction, as she did, and he headed that wya; thanking her.
Seeing the words that appeared to be Earth Science, he walked inside, noticing by the room that it had to be what he thought. Seeing the teacher, he knew that himself had entered the correct room. Looking at the board and then glancing at the teacher, he focused some more.
What had really said, Welcome to Earth Science. I am Ms. Kahin. Please sit where you like; for today's lesson, we will not be working in groups.
Turned out to be, Ewlcomw to Warth Sciwncw. I am Sm. Kahin. Plwasw sit ehwrw you like: for hoday's lwssno, ew will not be working in groups. It got hard, but then turned normal again. Walking up to the teacher's desk, Wess greated her, and said, Hello, Ms.Kahin. I am Westin Bryer, new student. You may call me as you like, but I perfer Wess.
Then with that, the tall teenager turned around and sat in the back, afraid to sit in the front; and not really liking science at the moment.

Kate found that she wasn't late for her science class, for which she was extremely grateful, as she'd been having a hard time getting to her classes before they started. It was incredibly embarrassing, and she hated it. As soon as she walked in the room, she found that she liked it. It was well lit and open, and it made Kate feel more comfortable, and less stuffed in a classroom. She was more excited for her equine classes that came later in the day, and honestly just wanted her academic classes to whiz by, but she had to do her best in these, in order to prove to her parents that she could handle it all without their help.
She found a seat quickly near the front of the classroom, and pulled out her supplies, looking up at the board. She was glad that they could sit where they pleased, for Kate hated being assigned to a place, though she sort of wished that they would be working in groups. Waiting for the lesson to begin, she tapped her fingertips on the desktop, looking around in interest. She was usually pretty good at her science classes, and wasn't particularly worried, though she hoped that the teacher had a good teaching style. If she didn't, Kate may just go insane.
