Writing her little introductory speech upon the board for the last time (for this year, anyway, and she was coming to realise that she would at least have to write up seating arrangements for each class, even if a welcome and an introduction would be unneeded) Nadifa was pleased to see that her handwriting had not suffered through the day. Writing upon a board had definitely been a learned skill, rather than a natural one (did such a thing come naturally to anyone?), but she was satisfied that she could now write both neatly, and in straight lines.Welcome to Physics. I am Ms. Kahin. Please sit where you like; for today's lesson, we will not be working in groups. Physics was both her last class for the day, and her smallest, the latter of which was a fact that didn't particularly surprise her. Perhaps it was the often high mathematical content of physics, but it did seem to have a reputation as the 'hardest' science, especially from those who hadn't yet met the complex ends of organic chemistry or the intricate details of the workings of the brain. Biology and earth science, especially, seemed to have gained a rather unfair reputation as the 'easy options' to choose, something that Nadifa rather hoped she could disabuse her students from, for any subject could be as complex as the student wished it to be. It all depended on how far someone was willing to go in their quest for knowledge.
Surveying her classroom thoughtfully, she was satisfied to note that nothing seemed out of place: the high desks were in alignment, the chairs neatly placed underneath them, the blinds aligned perfectly straight along the top of the windows. In short, there was little for Nadifa to do but wait for her next set of students. Returning to her desk, she ran her eyes down the list of names she had been given, and wondered which of them would have a true interest in physics, which of them would truly enjoy learning, and which of them she would have to tediously chivvy along.

Cara left her last class, not bothering to stop and chat with her classmates in the hallways as she made her way down to the science labs. She was dressed in a charcoal grey pant suit and black ballet flats. She swapped the satchel she was carrying from one hand to the other as her fingers began to tingle.
Pausing outside the science lab, she drew a breath in through her nose and released it slowly through her mouth. She was about to enter a class with yet another new teacher. And, as much as she would like people to believe that she lived on change. Contrary to popular belief though, she struggled with change. She loved order, and sudden changes threw her off track.
Walking into the lab, her eyes found the board straight away and she breathed a silent sigh of relief at the news that they wouldn't be working in groups. With her eyes on the floor, the Native American halfbreed walked across the classroom and seated herself in one of the front tables. She then set about getting her table ready, keeping up her sense of order, by having everything in its rightful place.
She hoped that the teacher at the front of the room would give her a chance to prove herself before she was judged by her tiny size - she couldn't entirely be blamed for having the undeveloped body of a preteen. She loved the mathematics that were involved in physics, and like calculus, it offered her the challenge that she needed to keep her brain from turning onto automatic pilot and just going through the processes of doing the school work. It was also that fact that physics was so natural, after all the word physics was from Ancient Greek: φύσις physis "nature". It also intersected with many other areas of science. And, something that not many people actually thought about, physics slotted in perfectly with her psychology studies.

Sara slipped out of the last class she had, Cinder at her side, and walked down the hall towards the science wing. The dog had started to look slightly mussed, from laying down and standing up and laying down again, but Sara had run her fingers through his fur at the last class, straightening it so that it looked, if not perfect, at least acceptable again. She walked through the halls, not hurrying, but not lingering either, smiling at people as they called hellos, but not stopping to chat.
As she walked into the classroom, she remembered that they had a new teacher. She smiled at the lady, then glanced up at the board, reading the instructions for a moment before stepping towards the seat she usually chose, the middle of the classroom, against one of the walls. She let go of Cinder's lead as she slipped off her backpack and set it on the desk, then nodded at the space between desk and wall, "Lapsus." Once the malamute had lay down, she pulled out a notebook and a pencil and set her backpack under her chair before she looked up to watch the teacher.

The young cowboy walked up the steps of the school building as he was coming back from the barns checking on Chex making sure that he would be okay for the day. Ever since they moved here he has been acting werid, but also the air was a lot different in Texas than it was in Kentucky, but Chex would have to get over it. Axel's blue eyes watched kids mingle in the hallways talking to their friends, which didn't bother Axel really. He knew he was going to make friends it was just a matter of time. He stopped at a class room and checked the room number on his paper, but it wasn't the right number so he began walking down the hallway again to look for the right room.
Axel final found the right room and stepped across the threshold and smiled when he noticed two girls, but one had a dog. He didn't think dogs were aloud in the classroom, but then he noticed it was a service dog which was pretty cool. He never seen a service dog before so it was quite new. He walked to the front of the classroom to talk to the teacher.Hello, I'm Axel Roper and I'm new. So I won't be on your list. He grinned and took off his hat and then walked to a desk by himself on the other side of the wall and set the bag down on the floor before sitting down with his hat on the bag.

Avery trotted breathlessly up the stairs, the sound of the final warning bell reverberating violently within her head and a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. Between classes she had gone to check on Curran and had not been pleased with what she had found; Curran lying flat out in the pastures soft green grass, unresponsive to her calls. She frowned concentrating on convincing herself that the pony was fine, He’s probably just knackered after the trip, god knows I am, she thought rubbing he tongue along the sharp points of her molar teeth.
She was working on another reassurance when she topped the stairs and found herself standing in a hall packed tight with teenagers - laughing, talking, and looking panicked. The sudden burst of stimulus caught Avery off guard and her pony was momentarily expunged from her thoughts. Gripping her book bag with excitement Avery wove her way around her school mates dodging the occasional wide flung arms as greetings were exchanged between students.
By the time she had finally waded her way to the classroom she was practically bubbling with excitement and it was all she could do to keep a stupid grin from finding its way to her lips. As she opened the door she was thrown off by the sudden drop of energy. The room was nearly empty, containing but three students and the teacher, she recognized one of the students, Cara whom had helped her with her pony earlier that day and now sat primly at her desk wearing a grey pantsuit. Looking at her Avery felt a twinge awkward as she thought of her own clothes Converse Allstars, black leggings, shorts and baggy blue shirt. Nonetheless she was happy to be near someone she recognized and slid into the desk next to Cara’s with a smile and began setting up her school supplies.

As soon as the teacher from Diamond's second period dismissed them, she was out of her seat dashing for Physics. Diamond hated to be late, and even worse was how many people were filling the hallways. Finding the room fast, and with little direction, Diamond walked inside reconizing a few faces from her other classes. Doing as she had in Mr.Stone's class she walked up to the teacher's desk. Seeing what the board consisted of, as the teacher's name, Ms.Kahin, and the seats, Diamond then turned her attention back to the teacher. I'm Diamond Parker, I just transferred yesterday. Diamond hoped that would be enough to get her by in all her classes, no teachers that made them introduce themselves, although she wouldn't mind. She just wasn't feeling herself today, like she usually was. Waking up early isn't always my thing, Diamond then thought to herself, finding a seat and quickly sitting down. Taking out a pen and her binder, that she so nicely organized, Diamond was good and ready to go.

Rose walked into the classroom, rather calmly. She was very good at science and math, so she was rather confident about Physics despite what other students said about it. She walked in, depositing her book bag on her desk before walking to the front of the room and introducing herself to her teacher. "Hello, my name is Rose Hoff. I'm starting my first year here as a transfer student, and I'm thrilled to bwre in your class. It's a pleasure to meet you! She shook the teacher's hand with a smile and returned to her seat.
Rose reached into her bag and took out two notebooks: one college ruled for notes, and the other graph paper for calculations. She also took out a pen and pencil, but kept her calculator in her bag for now, not sure about how this teacher felt about them. She wrote the date at the top of the paper and began to doodle a bit on another sheet, waiting for the class to begin. She carefully sketched out the room around her, focusing in on certain areas like her own desk. Rose didn't really think about what she was doing when she drew, especially when she was just sketching with no purpose.

Madison was looking forward to being done with the day, the fact that she had physics next wasn’t exactly ideal but she would make it work. The young blonde was tired and growing impatient to see her horses, she walked from one class to the next. She didn’t exactly know anyone on the basis where she struck up random conversation, she was starting to put faces to names though. Pulling at her light sweater she adjusted her bow bangle on her wrist and played with the feather ring on her finger. Counting the class numbers in her head she felt like the physics lab would be the next door on the right – she was correct. Boots tapped lightly on the ground, smile was warm painted lips bright against her pale face and hair. Reading the board quickly she looked across the room, most of the seats were empty thus far. Taking a seat in the middle she didn’t like to sit front and center, but didn’t want to be stuck at the back of the class. Checking her cell phone briefly she was relieved to see a message from her brother. Sam was always checking in on her, she loved him for it and even though others might think it was weird or annoying her brother was her rock – and it was nice to know he was still okay too. Quickly sending him a reply that she would call later she dropped the phone back into her bag after turning it off.
She pulled out a notebook and a pen, neither labeled. Puling the lid off her black pen she wrote her name in full, “Madison Clearview” across the top of the notebook, her font like writing was clear and concise. Nerves gathered as she waited at the desk, resisting the urge to tap her foot eyes glanced across the room. That Cara girl always seemed to be dressed for a business meeting of sorts, fair enough to each their own but Madison did question how she could be comfortable. At 14 she was happy to be in her stretchy skinny jeans and oversized sweater tee. Her attire was classy, well paired and suited her body type well. She was by no means presented as a slob, but she didn’t want to bore herself with suits yet. Thank fully she wasn’t the only one not wearing a suit. Focus went up to the board once more, subconsciously she played with the feather ring that wrapped around the ring finger of her right hand.

Leo made his way carefully down the hallway, on the verge of being late. He crossed his fingers, for once relying on superstition. He had been extremely late for his other classes, and he really didn’t need that. Already lost half the time, the boy found adjusting somewhat difficult. He had a feeling it would get better by the time he did however as anything did. For his age, the boy was quite wise, though even he had those frantic times he just lost his cool. Already, it was still in the morning and he was headed for his somewhat least favorite subject, physics.
He knew it would probably be filled with kids younger than him, but he had gone to a different school before and their order of science had been very different. Leo sighed; hoping that not too much would be drawn on his seventeen year old self as he towered over everyone. Six feet really did a lot to people’s emotions when they first saw him. While his body was intimidating, the boy just had the soft face, the one that anyone felt comfortable with. Finally, blue orbs spotted the classroom, a satisfied smile reaching his lips before he stepped in.
A class had already entered, and Leo had a feeling he was the last one. Happy to at least not be late this time, the boy made his way over to the seats, trying to find a spot away from the majority of people. He quickly realized doing that wouldn't exactly be the easiest thing to do. Trying to make it less awkward than it already was, the boy sat himself down next to small looking girl to his height that looked as if she had just arrived as well. Not bothering to give anyone a calming smile, Leo kept his gaze on his desk before taking out his notebook and pen.
