☑ Oliver Pattersen ☑ Renee Finn ☐ Aimee Hathaway ☑ Ryan Gallahill ☐ Luke Bryan ☑ Blair Rutledge ☐ Jacob Black ☑ Erica Morgan ☐ Bethany Ritchie ☑ Jackson Reinken ☑ Samantha Lawrence Manfred grabbed his laptop bag from the table where it lay and slung it over his shoulder before heading out of the door. As he turned back to close and lock the door, he saw Schatten laying in the hallway, the dark dog watching him. Nacht was nowhere in sight, but Manfred didn't doubt he was on his way to go eat some more. He locked the door and then slipped the key into the smallest pocket of his laptop bag. With that, he made his way towards the classrooms. He unlocked the door to the classroom he called his and looked up at the walls, which were still rather bleak and grey. With a sigh, he revised his mental plan to fit the first order of the day. Today they would be starting with a fun project, so the class could mingle a bit. But before they could do that, he would need to go get some paper. He put his laptop bag down, grabbed a pair of scissors, and then headed back out to the paper closet, where he cut out six pieces of paper big enough to cover the windows, two orange, two yellow, and two light blue, and then he cut a large chunk of black as well. He carried the papers back to his room and laid the rectangles of paper onto the tables. The black he put onto his desk, for students to grab as they needed. He put the scissors down and grabbed a whiteboard marker. On the board, he wrote, 'Quadrilateral Poster Project--Sit at any table you please, split up evenly, though.' Why not start the year with a fun activity? He picked up the crate of notebook laptops he had asked to be brought to his classroom and set one up at each table, facing his desk.

Ryan glanced around the room as he picked up his backpack, filled with new school supplies, and headed out of the door. Well, off to math, how fun! He had enjoyed the summer break, but there was only so much relaxing one guy could do at a time. He headed off in the direction of the classrooms, hoping that he wouldn't get lost, or be late. Well, he had started early, so hopefully at least he'd have time to find his classroom.
After a few wrong turns, and some helpful hints from various students and staff, Ryan finally managed to find his way to the geometry classroom. He glanced around, realizing that, despite his problems in the maze, he was still early. He smiled at the teacher, "Good morning, sir." He glanced at the board, his grey eyes running over the information. He turned to face the room, then picked one of the six tables at random. He sat in a chair and put his backpack next to him as he waited for the class to start. This looked like fun, already, at least, it didn't look like they would be taking notes first thing in the morning.

Oliver quickly shoved his books into his bag, he knew that he was cruising on being late for classes and he had no one to blame but himself. He knew that he should have got up the first time his alarm beeped, but it was so much nicer just to close his eyes.
That day he was dressed in black jeans, that had seen better days, and a white t-shirt that hugged his chest. He left the dorm at a run and raced across campus toward the math rooms and then came to a skidding stop as he slid through the door of the geometry room. "Um... Hey Mr Aachen." He said with a smile at the teacher.
Before he found a seat, he looked at the board and arched his eyebrows, teamwork. Looking around the room, he spotted a boy sitting by himself. "Hey, I'm Oliver. Do you mind if I sit with you?" He asked as he walked over. He didn't sit down as he didn't want to make the assumption that the other student would say yes, because if he sat down and the boy said no, the Oliver would look like a complete idiot.

Sam had just been down to the barns to make sure the boys where doing alright. She timed herself so she could get to class on time. Her body reeked of barn and horse. A shower would be nice. She thought to herself as she just reached the door. The old muck boots flew across the room. She popped into the shower and out in a matter of ten minutes. A lime green towel wrapped around her as she searched for some nice clothes. In the top drawer lays a purple layered, silk tank top. Once she got her shirt jeans and sandals on she grabbed her book bag, and walked down to the Geometry classroom.
It was a little dull for her taste, way to grey, but maybe she could actually help decorate it. "Hello, Mr. Aachen."The teacher and two other boys where in the room. It was Ryan and someone else.. She has met him once before."Hey, Ryan." She smiled at both of the boys and passed them. Sam found a table a little farther away from the front. About midway. It had a large orange paper on the desk. She sat herself down at the desk looking around at what adjustments she could make. Hopefully he would let her help adjust it. She noticed the board. Yay a class where you started off doing something fun!

The sixteen year old sucked on her lips as she entered the classroom building, the cool air greeting her in a powerful wave. She had a notebook, a math book, pencils, protractor, and a drawing compass. She was prepared for this class, even thought hated math, mainly because she wasn't good at it.
Her cowboy boots made soft thuds as she stepped into the class room, she shyly looked at the teacher, offered a small smile, and looked out at the class, her gaze never actually meeting any of the students. She noticed some people were already sitting together. The blonde bit her lip and picked and empty table, not recognizing anybody.
She rested all of her books on the table top and took a seat, pushing some hair out of her face. Her eyes trailed to all of the contents already on the desks, and she looked up at the board to see if anything was written on it. The girl swallowed, not enthused about how the activity sounded. She wondered why the laptops were on the desks as well. She sighed and slightly slumped her shoulders. She would probably have to move if no one came over to her table.

Jackson had been moving around all day trying to get to classes on time and then again trying to find them. Everyone was so busy and rushed into them. Now checking on his phone he saw that math, with Mr.Aachen, was next. Great math, he thought to himself. Jackson wasn't the best at it and he didn't look forward to it much. Walking around the school, Jackson had to get some people to help and he had ran into a few people, but he finally got there, and in time to. Walking into the room, the first thing he noticed was how grey the room was. Seeing that some kids were already here, Jackson glanced around revealing a guy sitting by himself towards the middle. Walking by the teacher's desk, Jackson said, "Hello, Mr. Aachen." and then walked through the tables, reading the board before hand. Seeing that paper was on the teacher's desk. Jackson had no idea what project they could be doing. Walking back to where the boy sat alone, Jackson said, "My names Jackson, do you mind if I sit here?" he asked him.

Erica's next class was Geometry. She didn't really like math, but since she wants a good grade and to graduate and all, she holds it in and does her best. She walked down the halls finally finding the classroom for Geometry. She heard the teacher was Manfred Aachen.
She opened the door and shyly walked in. She bit her lip as she looked around the classroom, seeing people already paired up with each other. She then spotted Renee alone at a empty table. She let out a tiny smile as she looked over to the man who must be the teacher. "Hello Mr. Aachen" She said to him with a small wave and then walked over to Renee's table. She then smiled towards her as she took a seat. "Hey Renee." She said in a soft voice to her as she grabbed her notebook and pencil out and placed them on her side of the table. She had a protractor and drawing compass, but she left it in her bag and will get it out if Mr. Aachen asks them to.

Wiping the dusk from his face, Luke pulled out his phone and narrowly caught it when he saw what time it had come to be. Not running but quickly stepping towards the entrance of the barn. He would be late for Geometry. Running up to his room, the boy was greeted by his two dogs. Bone and Mac were shushed away by their master's hands. Hopping into the shower, the eighteen year old washed down and then slipped into a new pair of clothes as his old ones smelled strongly of horse. Picking up his backpack he was off to the class. The building came into his view and Luke's feet moved faster and faster until he reached the door. This was the first time of taking this class but had heard of Mr. Aachen. Slightly wandering he soon found the door numbered to be his class. Walking in he spotted the teacher and then four boys and then three girls sitting around the room. Seeing Jackson someone he had another class with he sat at the table quietly. Taking a quick observation of the room and people in it, he was pretty pleased with the people. Although he didn't know them he figured he could get to know them, he wasn't exactly the expert with talking to strangers but he could make it work.

Jordan had just came back from her little thrill ride on Tripover, she was happy that he was still energetic and fun as he use to be. She missed riding him, and hoped to have enough time to continue that, other than the required classes, that Jordan actually didn't like as much as free riding. Swinging her bag over her shoulder, Jordan stroked her Arabian one last time, and headed out of the barn and towards the Main Building in Blue Ridge. Walking across campus, Jordan finally came upon it, walking up the steps, knowing she had enough time. Opening up the doors to the large corridor, that she had alreayd visited today, Jordan walked through it again, knowing exactly where Geometry was being held, since she had passed it up earlier. Stopping in front of the door, the blond pushed her hair out of her face, and walked into the room holding her head high, all the way to the teacher's desk. "Mr.Aachen, I'm Jordan Hill, new girl so I might not be written down on your list?" she told him, then sort of asked at the end not knowing if he actually had a list. Now looking around the room, Jordan saw the board say, 'Quadrilateral Poster Project--Sit at any table you please, split up evenly, though.' Why not start the year with a fun activity? So as the board had said, Jordan walked over to the blonde she had a couple of classes with, named Sam, and just sat with her for now, not knowing anyone else really.

Manfred smiled at each person as they walked in, murmuring 'Good Morning' when it was offered to him, otherwise just nodding to the students who entered without a word. As a girl stepped up to his desk and said tat she might not be on his list yet, Manfred glanced at the paper, "You're on here, Jordan." He had printed the attendance sheet that morning, and unless someone knew had been registered in that time, they should be on his list. He waited a few minutes, then glanced at the clock on the wall before standing up and starting to speak, "So, today we'll be working on a project, just to have some fun." He smiled, "And preferably that you guys learn something as well, but I don't doubt you all prefer the fun part." He glanced around the room, "Since there are so few of you, I'm going to be splitting you into three groups." He pointed around the room, calling out numbers as he pointed to each student, "One, one, two, three, three, two, one, three, two." He paused, making sure each student would remember their number, then walked to three tables, tapping on them, "Group one will be working here, group two here, group three here." After everyone had shifted, he smiled, "Now, I'm sure you're all wondering what you will be doing. You're going to be making posters for the walls of the classroom, posters about quadrilaterals, which will be our first unit." He picked up one of the laptops that would not be in use, "These have a few good reference websites in the favorites, which will be giving you a lot of good information." He started writing on the board as he spoke, "I want to see at least ten bullets of information, a picture or cut-out of your shape, and a title, and I want it to look at least slightly appealing." He smiled, "You guys can cut out black paper from up here, if you want it, and otherwise, there are markers and pens all around for you to use." He realized that he hadn't told them which quadrilateral they would be researching, "Oh, yes. Group one, you will be researching kites. Group two, rhombi, and Group three, rectangles." He smiled, "Any questions, feel free to come up here. Otherwise, the period is yours to work." Group One} Ryan, Oliver, Erica Group Two} Jackson, Sam, Jordan Group Three} Renee, Luka, Blair

Late. She was late... oh, this was not good. Not good at all. Bronwyn was almost never late to her classes! She rushed through the halls, searching frantically for the classroom and hoping the teacher was nice enough to overlook this one-time lateness. It was her own fault that she was late, no-one or nothing elses... She'd simply overslept, not used to the differing timezones between here and her home in Maine.
Her bag was slung over a shoulder and she glared down at the schedule in her hand again. She wore a nice pair of khaki's and a black t-shirt. Sneakers adorned her feet and her hair was loose, held back by a bandana. Hoop earrings were in her ears and a silver necklace and matching braceles circled her neck and left wrist.
Aha! There! She spied the room number and groaned in frustration when the door was closed. Really, of all the things! She sighed and squared her shoulders, adopting a slightly indifferent expression, though if one looked closely enough, they would see a fair bit of nervousness. She knocked on the door lightly, just loud enough to be heard, and then opened it, slipping inside the classroom and looking around.
Groups. They were in groups. And it looked like the groups had already been assigned... Bronwyn felt rising panic, but pushed it down and faced the teacher, walking up to him and handing her schedule over. "I'm sorry I'm late, sir." She spoke softly, not wanting to disturb the other students, "I'm new here and probably won't be on the roster yet. I overslept by accident... n-not used to the difference in the timezones." She spoke confidantly, but her voice trembled a little as her nervousness reared its ugly head. "I, ah... I see we're working on groups... I can work alone if need be... it looks like there's already three people per group..." She was blabbering, which she did when she was nervous.

All showered and clean after his long trip, River made sure his dog was all taken care of as well has his horse, he realised he had some free time on his hands. He showed up a little late for school, so techincally he was not supposed to start his classes till tomorrow, but River figured he could either go for a ride, or get that extra head start in class and maybe win some brownie points with the treachers by coming into class a day early. What to do, what to do River thought to himself. Normally he would be the guy to show up to class last minute, and take as much time riding as possible, and although his mind was saying lets go for a ride, his gut was telling him, he was probably better off going to class.
Rounding the corner of the hall way he watched a girl slip into the class room, it didn't take long for River to realize that, that was his classroom as well. Well atleast i'm not the only one who is late.
Slipping quitely through the door, he watched the girl fumble on her words a bit, being new and late, it was bound to make most people nervous. River not so much, his cockyness could get the better of him sometimes in these situations. I can work in a group with her River said boldly, no hint of nervousness could be found in his voice. He looked down at the girl with a smile. He towered over her,as he stood over six feet tall, he was a half a foot taller then her, if not more.If that's alright with you that is Turning his attention back to the teacher. River Pheonix by the way, I teachnically wasn't supposed to start class until tomorrow, but I figured i'd get a head start River sang with a pleased with himself tone.

Diamond walked up the stairs and into the main building; where her core classes were being held. She had been running to the barn that passing time; just to grab her notes from her tack trunk. As she opened up the door to the corridor, she saw that the hallway was still crawling and wasn't deserted.
Walking swiftly down the hallway, she reached Geometry with Mr. Aachen very quickly. Walking inside the classroom she saw River and then a few others she knew. Walking inside the classroom, Diamond then set down her bag in a empty seat first, and then decided to walk up to Mr. Aachen.
Standing in front of the teacher; Diamond said to him, My names Diamond Parker; I'm new and I might not be on your roster. she said then turning and taking a seat. One thing she hated was speaking out in school, in class; she couldn't stand it! Hopefully someone would just pick her to be there partner, as it was so much easier for her to just say "yes'' instead of asking and being rejected.
Checking inside her bag, she checked the time on her phone and then silenced it quickly, ready to begin.

Post by Avery Jacobs on Oct 27, 2012 13:01:28 GMT -6
Avery walked forward, a slightly more optimistic look on her face than usual. She had math next, one of her better subjects. She padded down the already empty hallways as the last students disappeared into the classrooms, starting to actually lose her tough girl appearance. She was actually quite lost. Finally sighing exasperation, the brunette wandered down hallway after hallway before spotting a sign going off about math. Rolling her eyes at her opinion on the ‘stupid tiny signs’, Avery turned and walked down at that hallway, opening the first door. Immediately eyes flew onto her and an actual tiny, nearly nonexistent nervousness brewed up.
Avery regrouped her emotions and walked in her confident stride to the teacher, a questionable look on her face. “Is this geometry?” After giving her a small laugh, the teacher shook her head and pointed her in the right direction. The brunette gave her an indignant look before replying with an icy thank you and storming off. Now she would be quite late and that would go on her attendance record, which in turn would be sent to her grandma and her promise to behave would be broken. Finally, she stepped into the classroom that the teacher had directed her to.
Already, there was a girl just sitting down as well. Avery gave the teacher a somewhat apologetic nod before reading the board and containing the face she was about to make. She wasn’t too keen on relying on someone else and herself for her grades, but she supposed she would attempt. After spotting the girl who had come in before her, Avery strode up to her, trying to be polite as she pushed off her anger about being late. “Partners?” she asked before falling down into the seat next to her.

Calvin walked towards his math class. He was again late, just like his English class, but it was the first day and he had an excuse to be late. He couldn't find the classroom! They should make these maps easier! He thought to himself.
The cowboy finnaly found the geometry class and he prepared himself and walked in. Calvin was quite suprised to see that a few other students had also been late and were talking to the teacher. He gave the teacher a appoligetic smile as he walked up. "I am sorry for being late, sir. I had trouble finding the class." Calvin said trying to not get into trouble for tardieness on his first day. His father would be mad if he did!
Calvin wondered what they were going to do in geometry. He had never really studied geometry, other than doing a quick unit on circles, ovals, rombus, and rectangles, he was pretty empty of geometry classes.
The teen peered around the room. The walls were ugly white and it gave off a weird blanc feeling. He knew that it would probably have stuff on it soon, but he had trouble looking at anything else with the white walls staring at him. Next, his eyes caught the board and he didn't know wether or not he should follow the instructions and sit down, or not. It appeared that all the students had been grouped and he didn't know what group to go to so he just stood there as blankly as the rest of the students.
