Ria smiled at the barn hand who took Moos' small saddle away from the mare, along with her bridle, "Thank you!" She had clipped the pony into the cross-ties, after their latest Beginner English lesson, which was held at the end of the school day. Using the pink-purple grooming set that she had gotten as a gift, Ria started brushing the mare down, just as Cara had shown her. The pony relaxed as the little seven-year-old flitted around her, chattering happily about the lesson. They had moved into the trot for a little bit, and one time, she had managed to start posting on the right diagonal rather quickly.
After finishing with grooming the mare, Ria hurried to put away the grooming kit, then took the mare's lead and led her out towards the pastures. She continued talking as they walked along, and in the brief lull of wind, her voice wasn't even snatched away. As they approached the pastures, Ria led her mare out to the one that she usually used, the second along the lane. She walked Moo through the gate, then climbed the fence rails like a ladder to reach the mare's head to unbuckle the halter. Once the task was done, she sat down on the top rail, the halter hanging beside her, as she looked around at the various horses in the pastures.

Walking into the barn where Lilith was, David shoved his large hands into the pockets of his jeans. Walking down to Lilith's stall, he approached the mare with his usual bright smile. The golden girl stuck her cranium out of the stall, and nosed at the breast pocket on his blue button-up shirt. With a deep chuckle, David took his hand out from his pocket and ran it over the bridge of Lilith's facade. Using his other hand, he rubbed the mare's face and smiled. How are you baby doll? Getting better? The golden looking mare huffed, breathing in his face, causing his deep laugh to ring out again. So, I'm guessing that is a yes? Well good then. He ran his fingers underneath the mare's forelock and smiled, then went and retrieved her lead rope and halter. On the way, he got his groom bag and put it near the ties before he went to get Lilith. After haltering the palomino, he led the mare out to the ties and began to groom her after securely tying her. He curried her, and then finished it with the finishing brush after spraying her with his old trainers "home-made" fly spray, that she couldn't stop shipping to him. He sprayed lightly, due to the cooler weather, then brushed the substance in. Then, running his hand down the mares legs and picking up the hoof and cleaning it, by picking and brushing the pieces of dirt away, he began working on her mane and tail.
On days like these, when he wasn't prepping for riding, David resorted to going slowly and easily, relaxing for both of them. There was no rushing really, it was a usual day and he was just going to let her out to the pasture. David went to his grooming bag and got the mare's brush and began brushing the mane out until it was smooth and shined, no knots able to be seen. Running his fingers through the hair without any of them catching assured him and he worked on her tail. Recently, he had braided it. Releasing the hair from the braid, David laughed as it was curly at the moment. Brushing it out, the curls and twists faded but were still noticeable. Bending his knees, he began to rub on medicine that he had for Lilith that his trainer had told him to use. The label had worn off, so he'd have to ask her the name in a bit as he was running out. After finishing, David gave the mare a bit of carrot and led her away after putting away his belongings. David began to lead Lil to the pasture. After walking and talking to his beloved mare, they finally arrived at their destination. As they came to the pasture, David saw a younger girl.
David approached the girl and smiled, walking up to the girl who sat on the gate. He watched as she looked at a pony he assumed to be hers. He smiled and told Lilith to stop. His deep voice spoke to the girl Hi there young lady. Mind if I let my horse out? He smiled kindly, watching her and looked back at Lilith, who seemed to be getting impatient with him. He chuckled softly and looked back to the girl, smiling, as always.

Ria shrieked in surprise as she heard a voice behind her. She had been so focused on watching Moo and the other horses in the pasture that she hadn't even heard the boy and the horse coming up behind her. She blinked up at him, then at the pretty horse that he was leading, then back to him. Nodding shyly, she hopped off of the gate and climbed up onto the rails of the fence to the side of the gate instead, giving him some room to bring the mare into the pasture. Once she had settled onto the new section of fence, she blinked at the golden horse the boy had, smiling slightly, "Pony, you're pretty." She glanced back at the boy, speaking to him for the first time, "Is she a nice pony?" She glanced back at Moo, reassuring herself that the pony was still there, although it had only been a few seconds since she had taken her eyes off of the mare, then turned back to look at the boy, "What's your pony's name? She's really tall." I'm sorry, it's a horrid post. The next one will be better, I promise!
