Leo wasn’t exactly used to going to get drinks with anyone, nevermind a girl. A pretty girl at that, though he didn’t allow himself to acknowledge it openly. He got quite shy about those things, though he was most certainly a teenage boy by all means and had normal teenage boy thoughts. The boy blushed slightly as she agreed and ruffled his hair for what seemed like the billionth time. He then waited for her to walk to the cafeteria. To his surprise, the place was quite empty let alone a few people grabbing snacks and walking off to whatever meet n’ greet they were having.
The boy felt as if it was his duty to but her a drink as he had suggested they got one and while it wasn’t hard liquor, as he never drank alcohol, the boy was good with a fruit smoothie. Smiling politely at the woman over the counter, he opened his mouth to ask for a strawberry smoothie, even with the cold weather outside. Before he could however, the lady’s blue eyes twinkled and she looked at Lucy. “Ooo kiddos, aren’t you two the adorablest? You got yourself a polite young man there honey.” she stage whispered the last part to Lucy and winked.
Leo’s face turned absolutely red and he made a confused little smile as he realized the lady was referring to them as being a couple. Shaking his head slowly, he looked down at Lucy wondering what she’d make of this. “Um… We’re friends.” he said quietly, before raising his brows even more at the lady’s next comment “Oh, for nowwww you are..” she winked at him before asking him what he wanted. Happy at the subject change, Leo gave Lucy a questioning look “What would you like?” he asked.

Lucy walked by Leo, making her way about the field and up to the Cafeteria. There were only a few students left, in which there were usually a couple hundred. It must of been the day; how it was all planned out. Or at least thats what she was guessing was happening, or maybe no one was hungry?
Hearing the lady's comment on her and Leo, Lucy shook her head. A least Leo had an actual response. She thought it was cute how the lady had thought that, although she was smiling, and almost started to chuckle a bit. It was funny how people jumped to conclusions. Hearing Leo's question, she replied, Just a strawberry smoothie, thanks.
As they got their orders, she learned to keep her mouth shut the rest of the wait in the line for the drinks. Sitting down at a table, she smiled at Leo. That was a nice experience. How did you feel about it? she asked, a joking tone in her voice. The thought of dating him would of been nice, but sadly she didn't think that was how he thought of her; although that would be a bonus.

Leo being Leo really didn’t like to have his personal life talked about, especially when it was something around the topics of a girl. He hadn’t really had many relationships back home and he did actually get quite shy around the girls that he might’ve even dared to crush on. Still, due to his quiet attitude, not many girls strayed to him because he never really was able to return flirtatiousness as his sister was able to. Of course, before, when he’d caught her even coming close to flirting with a guy in his midst, the big brother Leo came out. Somewhere in him, he was quite protective and told those guys to back off.
The brunette smiled slightly, remembering the memories of Avery’s quite annoyed face whenever he did this. Leo looked down at Lucy again, wondering if she had an older brother as well. The thought of that and the older brother thinking about the two of them as the lunch lady did sent tremors into his arms. Leo was most certainly not a fighter. He never picked fights, nor had he really ever been in one. They simply just were not his thing. The boy nodded as Lucy replied to his question. His fingers dug around his pocked for a five dollar bill he knew was in there and he got himself the same thing.
As the woman placed the drinks on the counter, Leo thanked her and followed Lucy to the table where he sat across from her. It had been a long time since he had ever hung out with anyone, let alone a girl and the thought made him blush. At her first words, Leo blushed even harder, taking a sip of his drink to think of some sort of answer. “Very pleasant.” he said, shooting her a sarcastic little look. “I felt quite exposed.” he said after giving it thought. Realizing he had gotten all thinker on the girl, he gave her an apologetic smile. “How about you?”

Seeing that Leo had a shy side, Lucy was half tempted to bring it out, or at least try to, in him. Maybe it was possible, maybe not; she would just have to try something new to get him more talkative. Think Lucy think...
As they grabbed their drinks and headed to a table, she would just take a wild guess; and let her thoughts out, like she was, she didn't want to hide anything from people; especially about her personality. What was the point in knowing someone, if they didn't really enjoy you, for you?
It was a nice conversation between us three, amusing actually. Though I liked it. she said making something out of it. Taking a sip of her drink; the fun sized brunette looked up at Leo. Now to take that chance and guess at it. You know that you don't have to be shy around me, you can just be yourself. Take anything you want out on me; just please no violence. she said sarcastically, not wanting to make it sound so serious in her voice.
Lucy would do anything to please him, if he wouldn't be so shy, maybe she could tweek him a bit; though if he liked himself that way towards others, he could stay. She wasn't trying to change him, just how he was towards her.

The boy’s quietness was never personal as he never really grew grudges or got angry. Sure, he had somewhat of blunt side to him, but it was for more filtered than Avery’s way of blurting her thoughts out. Leo had more of a mindful blunt side, and while he did think many things, rarely did they come out of his mouth. The boy never really meant to cause any type of harm, especially to those he’d just met and didn’t know. To him, he’d already caused enough back home, screwing up his school and screwing up his family as Avery liked to put it.
It hurt, but he’d been healed for the most part. The boy had reached a certain wisdom level from the experiences he’d underwent, though they had certainly quieted him. Naturally, he was quiet, but losing so many things and being blamed for so much had turned the boy into somewhat of a rock. He never really did show any kind of negative emotion other than the mild things, and almost never blew any fuses. The boy’s blue green eyes traveled back to the brunette’s face as she appeared to be in a thoughtful mode as well.
The silence didn’t really bother him too much, though from the somewhat stuck face the girl had on, he figured he should try and make an attempt a conversation. Leo chuckled slightly at her words as she went on to tell him that she found the conversation quite amusing. He found the conversation they were having right now about a conversation he hadn’t particularly enjoyed quite amusing as well. “I think I do have to agree with the amusing thought.” His voice was thoughtful as well, but quickly turned his face into the easy going look he’d had earlier.
Despite his attempt to chill, the girl’s next words caught him off guard, permeating the air between them with a very open sense. Leo raised her eyebrows slightly, before looking at the ground slightly embarrassed. He still couldn’t help the half smile that pulled at one side of his lips as the girl told him to ‘take it all out’ on her. He shook his head slightly “No violence, I promise.” It was the only answer he could manage to create in his moment of tiny speechlessness and he waited a few other moments to think of something else to say. He stared at her, a bit more curiously, wondering why she was so open. Hell, it had already been a just a few moments and Leo was left amazingly puzzled by this Lucy.

Letting her brown orbs travel down to her phone; she received a text, and she locked it again, placing it back into her bag. She didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment; except the boy in front of her. She wanted to know more and more about him. But at the same time she didn't want to push him into anything.
Hearing the chuckling from Leo, her eyes went back to his, and then down and then up again. She liked his response; and she smiled a wide grin. Lucy had a feeling that she would like this guy, he was genuine and kind; although he was quiet, she liked him that way. No other way. Just like that.
Seeing the raising brow, Lucy then chukcled and replied to him, I've seen enough violence in my life. She said rolling her eyes down towards the floor.
The next few moments were quiet silent, and her phone buzzed again, and again. Finally deciding to silence it; she read the text on top of the screen. Jumping up from the table as she noticed the time; Lucy said, I'm so sorry, I have to go.
Walking away from the table, she turned around after slipping about two dollars out of her pocket. Setting it on the table, she said, Thanks for the treat. I'll see ya around. OOC:If you have an idea for another thread with them at some point, PM me.
