Age: 16
Ethnicity: American, not fully known
Gender: Female

Physical Description: Casey has curly brown hair that falls midway down her back. Her bangs sweep to the right, just long enough to slightly cover her light brown eyes. She is 5'3" and weighs approximately 105 pounds. Though she eats as much as most men, she can't seem to increase her weight in the least. Many girls would envy her metabolism, but she gets fed up with being told how skinny she is. She, obviously, has a very small frame. However, her size does not at all interfere with her strength. She isn't a body builder by any means, but she is capable of doing rather heavy labor. She may not be able to work as hard for as long as the boys, but she can hold her own.
Casey's style varies depending on the day. Some days, it has a more girly twist, with cute little dresses and strappy sandals. Most days, her outfits consist of dark, worn jeans, a v-neck tshirt, and some sort of boots. She has a natural tan, though she never sits outside to purposefully tan. When she smiles, she has faint dimples.
Personality: Casey is a very headstrong individual. She hates to follow any sort of standards given to her. As a child, she hated the color pink for the simple reason that she was told girls were assumed to like pink. She is very independent, and extremely stubborn, which is sometimes her downfall. Sometimes this causes her to become very pushy, driving people away. She has the tendency to be a loner, though she enjoys the company of one or two people at times. Her difficulty to become close to others stems from her trust issues. She does not trust easily or quickly, but that is not to say she doesn't trust at all. It just takes a bit more time than an average person. She keeps her feelings to herself, rather than sharing everything. This makes her a mystery to others, but if they are patient, all will be revealed in due time.
Casey is often very blunt, and speaks without thinking, which gets her into trouble. People may find her offensive, though she doesn't usually mean any harm. She does have a mean streak, but in general she's not a spiteful person. However, if someone hurts her, she may lash out rather harshly. It may seem as though silly, random things upset her, but she has her own reasons that most people don't know about. With some time, she'll warm up and inform you of her reasoning. Though she has trouble connecting with other people, she has no trouble connecting with horses. She has rather low self confidence, but tries her best to hide it.
History: Casey was born in northern california on February 18th. As a baby, she lived on five acres. Her mother often took her to their neighbor's house, who owned four large, white horses. By the time she was nine months old, she had sat on her first horse. Everyone instantly realized her natural balance on the horse. When Casey cried, her mother would bring her to see the horses, which quickly made her happy.
Before she turned two, her mother discovered that her father was growing pot plants in the basement. Without a second thought, the two left and moved to Florida with Casey's grandparents. Eventually, Casey's father moved to Florida, after cheating on her mother. Needless to say, a divorce was in order.
Until she was six, Casey and her mother lived with her grandparents. Later, they moved into an apartment. Money was very tight, but they managed. Every weekend Casey was sent to her father's house. She adored her father. Even though he loved her, he treated her poorly. He always yelled at her and pushed her. As this continued, his words became more harsh, and his anger became more violent. When she was eight, her mother angered him, and he kicked Casey out of his house. They didn't talk for six months, and when they finally did, it was only to please his new girlfriend. Longing for her father's love, Casey eagerly began seeing him again. Soon, he began to throw things when he got upset. Though the objects were aimed in her direction, he did not hit her. After a while, the objects got closer, and eventually a few of them made contact with her.
One day, when she was fifteen, she got in his car to go to his house with him. Before she could say a "hello," he began yelling at her. It started with "you're the worst daughter a man could ask for," and as they pulled in the driveway, it ended with "I hate you." In tears, Casey raced inside and locked herself in her room. She hadn't done anything, and she was utterly confused and afraid. Her father came in after her, beating on her door and demanding she open up. She refused, and stayed locked in all night.
The next morning, she came out, hoping he had calmed down. When she approached her father, he turned to her, clearly still angry. Before she could speak, he stood up and hit her across the face. That was the last time she would ever see him again. She called her mother, who came and got her as quickly as she could.
Saddened by the events, she spent all of her free time at a stable down the road from her house. She woke up at four in the morning to have enough time to visit the horses before school. After school, she would do whatever homework she had as quickly as she could, then race off to the stable. A close bond built between her and one of the three stallions at the barn, Zanzibar. She had been taking riding lessons since she was four, and had been competing in horse shows since she was six. Zanzibar was hard to deal with, just as spirited as she was. After many months of training, she had found a way to work with him. Upon seeing her horsemanship and grades, she was offered a scholarship to Blue Ridge Riding Academy, which she accepted at once. She had been at the same stable since she was four. Her trainer was sad to see her go, but gave her Zanzibar as a goodbye gift. Now Casey has packed her things and is ready to begin her junior year at Blue Ridge Riding Academy.
Misc.: She hopes to become a world class trainer using natural horsemanship. She loves to ride English, but every now and then will ride Western as well.
