The Personality
Personality: If Azure were a human, he could probably be Sun's twin. He's a loving and easy going horse who really has no sense of personal space, whether it be humans, horses or other animals. He wants to be in your business and know what you're up to all the times and has a level of curiosity that has been known to get him into trouble. You need to be very straight forward while working with him. He works best when you let him know exactly what you want him to do and he can get very insecure if you don't give him clear directions.
Caution Around: He can get nervous around barking dogs.
The History
Basic History: Sun originally started riding on his aunt's former quarter horse mare, Strawberry Smoothie, he loved her to bits, but when the time came for her to retire Sun set off looking for a horse of his own. His father didn't understand why Sun felt the need to look else where for a new riding companion, they bred quarters right there at home and it wasn't like they were in short supply (his father also thinks that if it's not a pure quarter than it's not worth owning, mind you). But when Sun met Azure at his local pony club it was like love at first sight.
Azure had been donated by an older woman who's joints no longer allowed her to ride much anymore, but at that point in time the pony club couldn't afford to put up another horse. For fear that Azure would be sent to a sanctuary, left at a shelter or sold to another stable Sun used the money he had both saved and been loaned by his father to be able to take the saddle bred home, as well as his mother's influence in the decision, much to his father's distaste.
That was almost two years ago.
