It was early, 6:00am on the blustering Saturday morning when Ossaia made his way down into the pool room looking to stretch out and relax a little after a long week of being cooped up in the library and trying to work with Tundra's reining out in the pastures.
Originally he had planned to simply work with his gelding for a longer period of time today and maybe even take him and Ariel out for a hack along one of the river trails after his rather plain breakfast of cheerios and black coffee.
However when he arrived at the stables after nearly being blown away by the wind and found both his mounts still peacefully snoozing away in their nice warm stalls he decided against it. They both seemed to be more than to stay in for the day and rest, or at least until the risk of having a tree topple over on top of you died down.
So after leaving the two with full buckets of fresh, clean water and their own breakfast he headed back to his apartment where he found his navy swim-trunks in a box of bedroom items be had yet to put away.
Now he was standing at the edge of the pool, enjoying the the peace he was greeted with. Only the faintest sploshing sound of water lapping at the pool's tiled sides there to spoil the silence just enough so that his surroundings weren't eerie.
He found the room to be warm and comfortably humid, allowing Ossaia to stand in nothing but his trunks without so much as a single shiver running up his spine or for goosebumps to break out over his skin.
He also found that the sight of the early morning light coming through the window and reflecting the patterns of rippling water on the wall and at the bottom of the drop off in front of him were oddly hypnotic and soothing. So much so that it took the longest time for Ossaia to finally decide to take a smooth, effortless dive off the deep end. Plunging him down into the luke warm water where he allowed himself to simply sink and rest at the bottom where he sat with his knees brought up against his chest.
He'd have to resurface after two or three minutes, so he figured that he'd best enjoy the feeling of being submerged while it lasted.
