Due to her past of competitive riding, she doesn't easily make friends, but she doesn't intentionally isolate herself either.

Even though she didn't have a lot of height, she is beginning to develop curves. She is skinny, but not to the point that she looks like she starves herself and is well toned from all the running she does.
Jayne doesn't wear anything that doesn't have an expensive label and every single item in her wardrobe is in season - she won't wear anything that isn't in fashion.

Full History>> Jayne was born to a pair of ordinary, down to earth farmers in Kansas. She was a very welcome addition to the family, and her parents loved her to bits. One day, during the planting season, when Jayne was six months old, a tornado came out of nowhere. The natural disaster killed her father on the scene and left her mother with fatal wounds; of which she died within the week. After their deaths, and with no other contactable family, Jayne was named a ward of the court and put into the foster system, and was later told that her parents abandoned her (from a foster parent who didn't know otherwise).
Foster life took some getting used to - all the moving around - but things settled down - when she was six - when she begged her current family to let her go to riding lessons. When they said yes, and she started, it seemed that she should have been born on a horse as she took to it naturally. Fir her seventh birthday, Jayne's foster parents bought her a pony.
When she was four, and living on a large property, she was exploring the property with her foster family and fell down an old well - it had been boarded up but the wood had rotted - and after she was rescued, she can't stand being in closed dark spaces.
A couple of foster homes (and five years) later, Jayne arrived at the stable to discover that her beloved pony had been stolen, along with a few of the school horses and ponies. Her foster father - not a particular pleasant man - blamed her for the pony being stolen and slowly, Janye also began to blame herself and put away all of her her equestrian ribbons and trophies and turned her back on horses and riding.
Even though she was a foster-brat, Jayne never wanted for anything. All of her foster parents were well off and had no problem spoiling their temporary daughter. Two years later, she had managed to get everyone to forget who Jayne Doe was in the equestrian world. When she introduced herself, no one would look at her and say "Oh, the jumping star".
It was at this point that her social worker suggested that the girl start up at Blue Ridge. He hoped that maybe sending her to an equestrian school would relight the girl's passion for horses, and since the school was just a couple of hours away from where she presently lived, her foster parents agreed.
