Full Name>>Shara Emily McAlinon
Nicknames>>N/A
Age>> 23/04/1996
Staff or Student>> Student Barn Hand
House>> Red Ribbon
Gender>> Female
Sexuality>> Heterosexual
Face Claim>> A little like Regina Spektor, but darker skin and red hair.
Personality>> Shara is bubbly, friendly and independent yet often mistrustful of people she doesn't know. She is also hot headed and has a quick temper, frequently getting angry at herself and others if things don't go right. In spite of this she is extremely generous and though sometimes this doesn't show, she always has the best of intentions. Shara can't stand bad manners, in horses and in people! Always helpful and very hard working, she is a strong character who doesn't like to give up and always strives to reach her goal. One of her downfalls is that she is easily distracted; quick to lose focus, and falls in love easily, though she doesn't admit it. She is quite tomboy-ish in nature in that she'd rather sort out situations face to face than talk behind people's backs. Above all she is a genuine person, with a good sense of humour.
Likes>> Chocolate, dressage, jumping, music, riding on the beach, reading books, nights out
Dislikes>> Bad manners, cocky people, snobby people, letting herself down, when her horse won't listen to her
Fears>> Letting herself and her horse down, injuring herself if she falls off/not being able to ride.
Hopes>> To win a first in a prestigious dressage competition, and to not take her eyes off her goal
Secrets>> She falls for people easily - but will never admit it.
Appearance>> Shara is average height, slender but well put together, not skinny. She has light olive skin and dyed auburn-red hair. Her eyes shine dark green like marbles under short, thick lashes. Her nose is not overly large but gives her a strong profile. She has small lips and a pixie-like face framed by her red curls. She wears bohemian clothes when she is not riding.
Markings>> Small nose piercing
Medical History>> N/A
Criminal History>> Members of her family have had run ins.
Full History>> Shara comes from an unprivileged background. She was originally from Northern England, and only moved to the US when she was 15. Her mother left when she was very young and her father turned to drug use; she frequently had to live with aunties and distant relatives when she was younger due to her father's addiction. When he cleaned up, when she was around 9, she went back to live with him. He had a job as a builder and could just about afford to keep he and Shara going. It was around this time, when Shara moved back in with her dad, that she took up riding. Having nothing to do with horses earlier in her life, now Shara met a piebald gypsy cob who belonged to a friend of her father's. The owner only kept the gelding to keep the grass down and offered Shara the chance to exercise it. She jumped at the opportunity, and gradually the cob's owner taught her to ride; he had previously trained showjumping horses for a living, but now was in a wheelchair and only had the cob. Shara rode Manny, and a collection of other horses from owners in and about her rural town for 5 years before deciding to drop out of her high school and start an education in a high school with horses. By this time her father had re-married a lovely woman called Marie who Shara loved dearly and treated like a mother, but she needed to spread her wings. After much begging, an aunty gave her enough money to fly to the US to start her first semester at Blue Ridge, and here she ended up. She specialises in dressage, having fallen in love with the sport after watching great British riders on television. However she also loves jumping, especially cross country.
