Personality>>
Lukas is a guy who likes to have fun. He enjoys being able to laugh and wants to befriend everyone he can. The term 'never meets a stranger' comes to mind when he's thought of, as he's friendly and kind to everyone, even if he's never met the person in his life before. Lukas is a believer in second chances unless things are just damaged beyond repair, and even then, he’ll attempt to fix things if he feels strongly enough before finally admitting defeat.
He's super helpful and is always willing to lend a hand, even if it means making him late for something. Need a vehicle to haul something in? Just ask Lukas. Need some money because you can't afford to pay a vet bill? Just ask Lukas. He's literally always happy to help out someone with whatever they need, and he's not shy at all. If he can't help a person, he'll find someone who can, no doubt about it.
Luke does have a sarcastic side that shows every so often, though he's not mean natured or anything. Part of his personality is just sarcastic as in the 'point out the blatantly obvious' sarcasm. Whenever he says something sarcastic, he's not being mean, he's just being himself. He sometimes doesn't think before he speaks.
If you looked up the word 'competitive' in the dictionary, Luke's picture would be beside it. The man is super competitive and is always willing to work harder to achieve his goal. That's what makes him a good trainer and instructor for trail horses and trail classes. Lukas always tries to get the very best results from his horses, and is willing to adapt his training and instructing techniques to each different horse and/or student. He's also always willing to take the time from his days and give someone one-on-one help if they wish it.
He's fought depression since his mare and he fell early last year, and it's only gotten worse since he divorced, because he truly did love his ex-wife. Of course, he hides the fact that he is depressed quite well, only someone who knows the signs can really tell that he has issues deeper than he lets on. He tries to not let it get him down, though… but he does sometimes have really bad 'off' days.

He's recently divorced his wife of almost three years.
He's ADHD.
He spent around twenty-thousand dollars on his best mare after she broke her right front leg in three places and messed up her back last year, trying to rehab her (the mare is not rideable anymore and is barely sound… but Lukas can't make himself make the decision to put her down).
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>>
Lukas is quite tall, standing at an even six feet, and is fairly muscular from a lifetime of sports and being pushed to be his best at everything. His hair is light brown, sun-bleached from being outdoors a lot, and shaggy due to not being cut in a few months, falling in his gorgeous blue eyes from time to time. He often has an intense look about him, though still very friendly and approachable. His complexion is lightly tanned and he often forgets to shave daily, leaving him with a near constant five o'clock shadow of stubble on his face, giving him that roguish look.
He is never seen without a set of dog-tags on a silver chain around his neck. Stamped into the dog-tags are his name and phone number. Luke also dresses very casually, usually in jeans and a t-shirt or button-down shirt, and cowboy boots. He's only twenty, so he's still quite young and doesn't dress up extremely often unless he absolutely has to. In fact, he could probably easily be mistaken for a student and not a staff member when he's clean shaven! Even when he's not clean shaven, he looks like he could be a student if you squint your eyes and tilt your head.
Markings>> Luke has one lobe piercing in which he keeps a small, diamond stud earring. He has no tattoos. As far as scars go, Lukas has a few small ones from horseback-riding accidents, but nothing major.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>>
Luke had colic as a baby.
He had his tonsils removed when he was five.
Chicken Pox hit him at age six.
A broken arm was the result of falling out of a tree when he was seven.
At eight, he had his first concussion after falling off a horse.
Age ten came with the Flu Virus.
When he was twelve, he was thrown and drug behind a horse, which resulted in him being hospitalized for a week due to another concussion, a broken ankle, and a broken wrist.
At fifteen he got into his first car wreck barely a week after getting his driving permit (the wreck was his fault).
When he was seventeen, he got into another car wreck (a fender-bender that wasn't his fault)
Shortly after turning nineteen, he and his best mare had a freak riding accident at a Trail Challenge. He walked away with only a sprained knee, fifteen stitches along his ribcage, two broken ribs, and a broken finger.
Criminal History>>
When he was fifteen and got into his first car wreck, he had to answer to the law, as the wreck was his fault (he didn't stop at a red light and T-boned another car on the drivers' side, hospitalizing the driver).
When he was seventeen and was in his second car wreck, he called the law himself, as it wasn't his fault that time.
Full History>>
Lukas was born to Charles and Jacquelyn Ambrose in Los Angeles, California. The family he was born to was extremely wealthy and Lukas was his parent's only child, as after he was born, his mother had her tubes tied. As an infant, Lukas was an angel except for those few months he had colic. He didn't get upset very often as a baby and didn't cry much. Generally, he was a very happy baby who had a habit of getting into everything and who refused to eat peas and had a habit of screaming every time he saw a lemur on television or in a picture. His parents figured that maybe the animals just looked scary to the baby, but Lukas never grew out of his fear of the creatures.
Once he began walking, though… Lukas was into everything from the second he learned how to crawl. It was his hyper-activeness and his apparent inability to stay asleep when he went down for his naps that caused his parents to take him to the doctor. He was diagnosed with ADHD at a very early age, though he wasn't put on medication for it until he was older.
His schooling years started when he was three. His parents believed in education, so Lukas attended daycare from the time he was three until he started preschool at age four. He entered preschool already knowing how to count to ten, the primary colors, the planets of the solar system, and most of his ABC's thanks to the tutors his parents hired.
Lukas's parents also believed in a well-rounded lifestyle, and so growing up, Luke played a variety of sports, ran track, and began taking riding lessons at a young age. As he got older, he lost interest in the sports and track, but he never once missed a riding lesson if he could help it. It helped that he took his riding lessons at home, where his parents bought him his own horses and paid a full-time instructor to live on-site. He took may spills during his lessons, but never gave up and fell in love with Trail Classes after his instructor took him to compete in an Obstacle/Trail Challenge when he was seven. Even though that show resulted in him falling off and getting a concussion, he didn't give up his love of riding.
Luke attended private schools throughout his life, but his parents never dreamed of sending him away to a boarding school. Instead, he was enrolled in a private school nearby and was driven to the school and picked up every morning and afternoon. The school he went to did have an equestrian team, though, and Lukas was a member of the team, where he had to learn Eventing and Western and English Pleasure.
During his twelfth year his parents almost had the school he attended shut down after Lukas was put on a new horse the school had gotten from the local sale. The horse in question was an excellent ride, just nervous, and Lukas was twelve and not quite strong enough to control the seventeen hand draft cross… They wrecked quite spectacularly when the large gelding panicked when a whip cracked and tried and failed to jump out of the arena. Luke was hospitalized for a week and was unable to ride for several months due to broken bones.
When he was fifteen, two big things happened. Firstly, he got his driving permit. That in itself was great… except for the fact that within a week, he'd gotten into a wreck in which he T-boned another car on the drivers side after running a red light and hospitalized the driver for several weeks. That resulted in him getting his permit taken away. Secondly, he met the girl who would later become his wife. The first time he saw Natalie Harper, Lukas was in love. The two started dating that year and dated off and on until Luke was sixteen, when he asked her to go steady with him.
He got his license halfway through his sixteenth year and secured the spot of Team Captain of his school's Equestrian Team. Lukas never once made below an 'A' average in any class he took thanks to his tutors. He was a friendly, popular teenager who had many friends, as he wasn't a snobby rich kid like some people could be. He kept up with competing in Trail and Obstacle Challenges and started helping his instructor train horses for Challenges. As Team Captain of the Equestrian Team, he also had a say in which horses were bought and used for the team to compete with at school, and he often was the first person to ride the school's horses to see if they needed any work done.
At seventeen he got into his second and, to date, his last wreck. It was a small fender-bender which wasn’t his fault at all, but he still ended up paying for both vehicles to be repaired. He also graduated school at seventeen as valedictorian and under his guide, the Equestrian Team had, that year, won every event they'd participated in except for Western Pleasure, in which they came in second place, losing to a school that focused solely on western events.
After graduating, Lukas spent the next year traveling the state in which he'd been born. He worked here and there under different horse trainers before coming home and asking his girlfriend to marry him. She said yes, and they were married on his parents' estate just three months later. The wedding was a huge black-tie affair that cost thirty-four thousand dollars, as his mother and bride planned the entire thing and didn't slack on anything. Shortly after marrying, Lukas and his wife moved to Cartersville, Georgia. It was during that move that Luke realized he was scared of flying in planes, and he swore to drive everywhere he had to go after that flight from California to Georgia.
Lukas still was extremely into Trail and Obstacle Challenges, and he competed in as many as he could, sometimes traveling several hundred miles one way to enter a competition. He competed against several big names and won quite often, making a pretty good name for himself and his horses. It was during one such competition that he had a freak riding accident with his best competition mare It all happened so quickly, they had had to lope down a trail, take a jump over a fallen log, and come out of the trail at a lope and jump up onto a step-up and off the other side to finish the course. The mare had gotten her front legs crossed as they loped down the trail and had taken the jump from too far away, clipping herself hard on the log and losing her balance. She'd hit the step-up at an angle and had been unable to get her legs under herself enough to make it, and was too close to stop. The mare had hit the last obstacle at a run and hadn't jumped, flipping both herself and her rider over the step-up and breaking her front right leg in three places and causing irreparable damage to her back. Lukas managed to walk away from the accident with only broken bones, stitches, and a sprained knee.
He spend thousands of dollars on the mare at several different vet clinics, refusing to even entertain the idea of putting the horse down, even if it would have been best for the mare. The horse finally came home, but she was unable to ever be ridden again. On top of that disaster, Lukas's marriage was falling apart, as his wife was tired of him competing constantly. Lukas did try to fix things with his ex-wife. He stopped competing for a few months, but even then, he was miserable and she was unhappy. When his wife finally confided in him that she'd found someone else, he saw that divorce was inevitable, and shortly before he turned twenty, Luke paid to have a quick annulment done. His ex-wife got the house, three of his horses, all the land, and two of the vehicles… leaving Lukas with his crippled mare, his up and coming competition horse, his money, and one truck and horse trailer.
Lukas, not really knowing what to do, stayed with friends in Georgia for a while, surfing internet ads for a possible job or place to stay, as he didn't want to go back home to California. That's how he found out about Blue Ridge and sent in an application, worried that he may not get accepted due to his age, even though he has enough references and has the qualifications to do the job he's applied for.
