The Past is the Past

Hope is a bubbly person really, under her shell. She used to be the first one to break the ice and was always there for her friends. At sixteen however, she was brutalized, her innocence lost. Even though she is 21, she has never had a realationship of an 'intimate' nature.

It's Time to Face the Light

Hope is here to forget about her past, and move on with her life. She just wants to loose herself in her new job as eventing coach at Blue Ridge. She and her mare Fallen From Grace are striving to become the top in the eventing world, and her borrowed dressage horse Devilish Mistress are still getting to know each other, but Hope thinks that the well schooled mare has a lot to offer to her.

I present Chris and Mia, the only reason they are together is the fact that they are father and daughter. Chris is Miss Hope's age and a cowboy. He is very gentle and couldn't imagine hurting a woman or child. Mia is a six year old, but she is very intelligent and loves to read, she is also very quiet. They both ride western, although I'm thinking of putting Mia in some sort of English, whether it be Show Jumping or Dressage, which maybe Hope could help her with? As for Chris, I was thinking boyfriend-girlfriend relationship?

Not to butt in here, but if Mia wants to learn dressage and show jumping, then she's going to need to get lessons from the teachers for those two things.

As for my characters... As I said before, I have Prudence Warner (she's the dance teacher) - they should meet for no other reason than having the same last name.

I think that Hope should meet my Cara Kitchi. Cara is sixteen, and knows all about the evils of men (she currently has a thread in the round pen). She's also a vet student.

Then there's Katherine (White Oak Barn Manager and a past eventing champion) and Demeter Carr (equine vet). And lastly, there's Andie Simone. Andie is a bit of a cow needs someone she can confide in (she is the Head of House for Blue Ribbon, the cheer coach and a barn hand in Evening Primrose).

Hum... -thinks- I have a few people that might be interesting. :- P

Kendall Salenk is my eventing charrie, she's got her own big secret, that very few people know. However, she does still harbor a soft spot for eventing, and perhaps they could be friends (Even though Kendall is a bit older, perhaps it's a bit mother/daughter and a bit friends?)

I have a few more charries, but Kendall is the only one I can think of something sensible for at the moment.

[Carlos Rodriguez]

Hmm...

I have Carlos Rodriguez, if you're interested in some form of plotting with him. He's a student here (17 years) and has one horse, a Lusitano mare named Cordon de la Reina Ana. Carlos is a quieter guy who is surprisingly sensitive when you really get to know him. He's a bit shy and awkward at first, and tries harder than he should at things. He's not taking any eventing classes at the moment, but his mare is a trained eventer and it's what he's best at. I have an open thread with Carlos in the Benedict's Arena. I really need some more plots with Carlos...

I also have an adult character, Gabriel Reese. He's a counselor here at BRRA and is twenty-five this year. He's an english rider and is an eventer by heart. He is in a relationship with another character, and he wouldn't dream of cheating, even if it was an option, but I think he could make a nice friend possibly. He is a pretty tall/stocky guy, so can seem intimidating at first. He has two horses, a Thoroughbred gelding, North to Alaska, and a Cleveland Bay gelding, Autopsy Gremlin.

Hope-Chris-Mia:
I think Hope and Chris would really hit it off! Coming from a ranching background she has always had a soft spot for cowboys. The dynamic between them would be so cute! She would also have a blast teaching Mia a little bit about eventing too, if Mia so felt the urge, she could probably have a few lessons on either Grace or Lucy depending on what she wants to do more, jumping or dressage.

Hope-Prudence:
Hope would probably get a kick out of finding someone who shares her last name. It would be just the ice breaker she would need to start a conversation and maybe a friendship.

Hope-Cara:
Though she is so young, in appearance and age, I think Cara would do a world of good for Hope. I can see them becoming fast friends despite their age gaps, due to their similar experiences with abuse. Hope needs someone who will understand what she has gone through before she can open up and really begin to heal.

Hope-Kendall:
Kendall would be the ultimate motherly figure for Hope. I can see her giving Hope endless advice for life, horses and teaching. They would get along swimmingly!

Hope-Carlos:
They could be friends, I don't see them becoming very close, but maybe if any horse problems or questions arose, they could commune and discuss together.

I have a 25 year old young man here, Jesse. He remembers most of his life working on the ranch, and as well working as a barn hand and all. Only problem they have to overcome, is that they have opposite opinions between Thunder. -shrugs- Unsure if that will affect anything in their relationship. Just thinking they could at least be friends, or anything. I'm up for anything. <3

Hope-Jesse: I think Hope and Jesse would become really good friends. I can see him reminding her of her brother a little bit and she may even develop a tiny crush on him.

I'm sorry, but Hope can not teach Mia how to jump or do dressage (thought I made that clear in my post above). That would be Katherine's job as she's in charge of the novice English riders.

Hehe, that's what I was thinking as well. :- ) Perhaps they can meet at the Cross Country courses or something soon? Kendall wouldn't reveal much about her past, since she doesn't like 'being compared to' her former self, but perhaps Hope figures it out somehow? -shrugs- Up to you, they could be friendly without them knowing, perhaps finding out would be an interesting side-plot?
