Okay, so, at around 11:30am, we headed for Pittsburg, TX. The drive was approximetly 4 hrs and 30 mins long. Lol. On the way, the drive was pretty interesting. No one ever likes the directions I find. I don't know why. They always say, it's not detailed enough.. or too confusing....
Oh well, so we travel down the long highways, and have to put up with lovely people, like this tailgator
And get to see hilarious things, like, can you see the goobermobile in the back ground? It has WOOD paneling, eww! Haha, and the cop car was just a bonus.
The sad thing about this picture, is, that is is probably the best quality one I have! But, I don't have the luxury of a digital camera yet, so I use the camera on my phone. And for a phone, yeah, it is a good camera. Haha.
But then, after a LONG time, we finally see the light! Lol, or, at least a sign...
This is a picture of downtown Pittsburg. It was a good sized town, not too big, or too small.
And we ate supper here, before the concert started. That handi-capped parking space, is twice as small as a regular one, don't know if you could tell it or not. But, that's why it was empty, no one could get out a car with a wheel chair for sure!!!
Then, we get to finally go to the concert! It was in a club, and this was outside while we were waiting to get in. I find it hilarious that you could park next to Chris's bus!
I did get pictures of him singing in the club, but my phone has no zoom, and no flash, and it was so dark, they just didn't turn out. I could post them, but honestly, they are not worth trying to see! So, I will get onto the most exciting part! I got to meet Chris! But I was a total dork!
Okay, so first, we have to wait in a little seperate section from everyone else. Then, when it was time, we got to go behind a black curtain. There were like 12 people, but they diveded us into groups of 5. There were two OLD ladies, like, in their 60s haha, then me, then a older woman, then a guy. So, it comes time. I was thinking, we would walk behind the curtain, go down a hall, then he would walk out or something, ya know? So, we start walking, and as soon as the black curtain opens, Chris Young is standing right there! my mouth drops open, my heart is racing, I'm already a dork. The two ladies get done and I walk up there, my hands were shaking! I just stared at him for a moment, loss of words. Then I started laughing nervously, "I'm so sorry. I have never met anyone famous before"
He started laughing, "That's okay," and I handed my phone to a guy, and he snapped the picture. Then Chris asked if it turned out okay, and if it would work for me. I nodded. Then he saw a slip of paper I had in my hand and said, "Want me to sign this for ya darlin'?" He called me darling!!! Of course I said yes, then, before I left, he gave me another hug. He was laughing the whole time. I knew he thought I was a goober. Then, I had to walk back through the curtain, but I couldn't find the end to get out! I glanced back, and he was smiling at me. I was SO embarrassed! Oh and he is really tall. Like 6'4"!
