Okay, so, here at college there is a riding class. I took the beginner's last year, total waste of time. The person who was supposed to teach the class ran around flirting with cowboys all the time. And I knew more than the other students, so I basically had to teach them. This semster, I'm like, one of the only students, and there is a different instructor. She is amazeing! But anyway, I like to ride a big bay horse. There is actually a picture of him on here... i think still. Of us and I'm in an English saddle with horrible posture. Anyway, today, I rode him in the arena. It wasn't muddy, but it wasn't totally dry either. The instructor said I could lope, set up barrels, do whatever. Well, I just wanted to trot and lope to work on my seat, so i could work with Bo better. My riding time was almost up, when we were trotting back to the gate. The bay kept fighting for his head, and I guess he slipped from that but next thing I know, we went down. The poor thing fell on his front legs and his head hit the dirt, but he didn't flip over. He then slowly got to his feet. I feel SO bad I didn't think he would slip after we loped down there and back. Luckily, he wasn't hurt. But, I got off and checked his legs and his poor face. I brushed him extra good and gave him a treat. But, I still feel bad. It was my fault he fell. Even though the instructor said we could lope, I shouldn't have.

You can't blame yourself, Rissa!! From what you've said it sounds like he was as much to blame as you.
I'm glad that he's okay, it can be scary when they fall over. Cedar was fighting for his head when I was riding him yesterday. Pretty much he was being a complete artard.

Thanks, and sorry about yours. But I'm glad you got to ride him at least.
