Bo was moved to a bigger pasture where there is a pond to play in, and plenty of graze. Even though it's like, a few 100 feet from his old pen. Anyway, today after we got done feeding, I saw him laying down on the grass. So, i grabbed the camera and walked out there. When I got close enough i knelt down so I didn't startle him becuase no one had ever messed with him when he was laying down before.
Anyway, I crawled over to him, got some cute pics, then leaned my back against his shoulder. He turned his heard around and started nudging my hair and shoulder. It was so sweet. It's just amazeing. A horse laying down is in it's most vulnerable postion. That's how much he trusted me. We went from when i first rode him, he called out to other horses, reared up on me so he could get back to them. I was scared, we hadn't bonded and I knew it. It was dangerous becuase he took things into his own hands. But now, he let's me lay with him, and when we ride, he never calls back to his freinds.
I dont know, there's just something special about cuddling with a 900lb animal. Honestly, if I could never ride again in my life, just going there and sleeping with him, would be good enough. It's like a movie moment, only the horse isn't acting. He was laying down becuase he was made to or taught too. He was doing it on his own, and he stayed laying down on his own. I hope all of you get to expierence that someday.
