Loki has always been a small child, never the right size or weight for his age, generally falling in with the kids that are a year or two under him. As a sophomore Loki is just an inch or two over five foot and finds it a little awkward that most freshman seem to be at least five feet and five inches. Loki has never been a big eater and is always being told that he eats like a bird, only pecking at his food and by the time he says that he is finished he has only actually had like two bites off of the plate, but rearranged the whole thing. Loki has a deep fear of needles which is the reason why he keeps his teeth pearly white, brushing them two to three times a day, and why he doesn't have any piercings or tattoos.
The thought really just scares him to death and avoids hospitals as much as possible which is one reason why he is always so sick, since he was never breast fed by his motehr when he was first born he was able to catch illnesses easier, but refuses to go to the hospital so he is constantly in a poor state of health. Due to his blood lines Gatlin is always tan, but sometimes it comes off as a more creamy tan when he is sick which is often so his skin is pretty much always a creamy color even though he is ninety percent german and ten percent italian. Loki naturally has black hair, but usually plays around between its natural shade and brown a lot. He does love his natural hair color, but loves brunette hair so he puts it on himself at times, but not often.
Gatlin has always had light grey eyes with a hint of green in them, but the green has always been over shadowed and generally over looked by people, but his braces are something that everyone notices. Loki has had his braces since his freshman year and has just started to get use to them, of course, it shouldn't take long for someone to get use to have metal in their mouth. However, for a long time Loki was very self-consious about them, thinking that people would change their minds about him once they saw the metal, but of course, no one did. When he is very into something and completely focused, his naturally pouty lips will part slightly and sometimes the tip of his tongue will poke out inbetween his teeth or sometimes between his lips, it all just depends on how much focus he is putting on something.
Since Loki has such a petite frame and really no meat on his bones he has to wear girls pants and generally ends up wearing those v neck shirts or anything with thin material that will cling to his small chest. Loki wears a lot of scarfs and during the winter will wear some cardigans and what not, but over all he loves his hoodies the most, he only owns two or three and always has one on him. No matter what the weather is, his hoodies are like his security blankets really. When ever he gets nervous or scared he tends to hide in them since they are big enough to be dresses on him and he loves that fact really. Gatlin has very clear skin and has never had a problem with it, barely has any scars and if he does they are very faint. However, when you lift up his shirt it is a completely different story.
If you manage to slip Loki's shirt off somehow and good luck to that, but if you do manage to do it isn't a pretty site. He has two gashes starting right under his rib cage and coming down creating a 'V' and stopping in between his hips, then on the small of his back scratched in the word 'Kitty'. The word wouldn't make since to a lot of people, but the word makes Gatlin shudder in fear and at times can cause him to fall into a panic attack if hte memories come back to strong and all at once.
Personalitly:
•Friendly•
Loki is a very friendly kid, he generally always has a smile on his face and is just an all around friendly guy, really even if a person is rude to him when they first meet he will still smile and wave at them in the hall, he just doesn't believe that anyone could hate him without actually knowing him and he even then can never understand why people don't like him after they get to know him. He is really a sweet kid, but of course, he is a geek which is one of the main reasons why he gets teased and picked on and if it is not for that it is for his height, but all in all Loki is very optimistic, always looking at the bright side of things.
•Talkative•
Loki is a very talkative person, but it is hard for him to be talkative since people generally don't know german here and he pretty much doesn't know any english. He only knows simple phrases and what not, but isn't able to keep a decent conversation up since he can barely understand what people are saying and has an even harder time keeping up with the teenage slang and what not. With a translator pretty much always by his side during his classes he is able to keep up with the class work and what not, but in the halls or with his class mates, he is at a complete loss. Gatlin is trying to learn english and does tend to pick up new words everyday, but he still has trouble forming sentences so when he speaks it tends to end up having random english words/phrases and a whole lot of german mixed in.
•Shy/Anti-social•
Since Loki moved here which was probably a month ago, he has started to become quite shy and somewhat anti-social. Loki has been here for a month, but has only been at the school for a week now. His parents thought that it was best if he went into school knowing a little english, but he wasn't cataching on as fast as they had hoped so instead of taking more time off of work and paying for more home tutors they decided it would be best if he went to school and then possibly could catch on to the language by listening to others, but all they did was cause Loki to become more confused, therefore, become more shy and anti-social when around the students. Loki often excused himself from classes early or just didn't show up at all due to the fact that he was so nervous about sitting in the class not knowing what was going on until the translator came, but she was only there for part of the period before disappearing leaving him with a book in german, but how did that help him? He was suppose to be learning english.
•Quirky•
Loki has many quirky traits about him such as he avoids running at all costs, since he tends to fall flat on his face when he does so. He has horrible reflexes so when falling he generally isn't able to cover his face in time before contact is made. However, aside from his horrible reflexes he somehow manages to have great hand to eye cordination which is a little weird. Loki tends to do odd things when he believes that he is alone or that no one is looking at him and by weird it doesn't mean that he does inappropriate things or whatever, just weird. It is hard to really say what these weird things are since they generally always end up in german so no one can really say what he is doing, but it always involves paper and a pen. It isn't that hard to guess what he is doing if someone can ever get there hands on his letters, but he tends to guard them with dear life.
•Willing•
Gatlin loves to try new things, but sports is generally the only thing he doesn't care to try. Try new foods, new games, meet new people and hell move to a new country, but he'd much prefer to only visit that country not live there. Loki loved Germany and would move back at the first chance that he could. He has always been a willing child, it is the reason why he knows German and Italian, but that is partly because he is Italian and German so his father decided that it is important that he knew how to speak Italian. He never fully learned it, but is able to keep up a simple comversation. That is one of hte reasons why Gatlin is so smart, he was always out exploring and learning new things. Then of course, maybe that is the reason why he is so confused about his sexuality right now.
•Smart•
Loki is a very smart young man, but since moving to America he hasn't had the passion or drive to try like he did back at Germany, but of course, no one picked on him for being smart and he had a lot of friends that could actually understand him. Unlike here where people teased him to no ends and he has no friends, pathetic really. His father is always letting him know that it is pathetic that he hasn't made any friends and hasn't learned english yet. Calling him dumb and a few other things which didn't help the situation at all really. The teachers were never crazy about him missing so much school, but since he was able to keep his good grades up with easy they didn't say a word, unlike the kids who were always bugging him about it.
•Awkward•
Just because he can't speak english it makes him awkward, but he can't run or play any type of sport without getting hurt, hell he trips over air on a regular basis. The boy just can't ever seem to catch a break since moving to California. So really awkward just seems to surround his poor little soul. Since he can't speak much english he ends up making himself look like a fool as he tries to make people understand what he is saying and usually ends up just writing it down, so unless he is with his parents or translator he feels like a mute.
•Untrusting•
Even though Imogen is a very friendly boy who loves to talk doesn't mean he trusts people. No, he really has some severe trust issues and even though he might come off as someone's friends he rarely considers people his friend. He really just has it burnt into his brain that everyone is going to turn on him at some point or another. No one can stay faithful forever and no one really tries anymore. People are cruel nowadays and don't give a crap about anyone, but themselves. Loki learned that back in Germany, really nothing seemed to different here. Everyone was the same, but the only difference was the secenery really and of course, the people. That is the main thing that changed for Loki, was the people and how he was suppose to live on campus. Gatlin didn't like the idea, but seemed to always disappear on the weekends and sometimes he wouldn't come back to school that week.
•Skittish•
Gatlin is a very skittish lad, well at least when it comes to people touching him or being all affectionate on him. Really, Loki is scared of people touching him and can't stand it really, he flinches and winces when peoples hands even come in his direction. If it even happens by accident he will flinch and apologize as soon as he feels them brush against him, even if it wasn't his fault. Loki has been known to have panic attacks if the touching thing gets to outta hand through out the day. His parents had quickly learned that touching wasn't an option after Kitty left his life and now that they had moved in, his parents informed hte school of his various conditions, but no one really pays attention to the parents and just blames it on the students when Loki has a panic attack and ends up in the hospital due to the lack of oxygen.
•Insecure•
Loki Kruger, just like most teenagers is very insecure, but probably about more things than most teens. He is pretty much insecure about anything and everything that has to do with him, he hates when people stare at him becuase he feels like he is doing something wrong even if he isn't. He was always insecure about how he looked, which was one reason why he took time to pick out his outfits and make sure that they were all matching and nice looking. That was one thing about Loki, he never left the house looking shabby, every outfit was carefully picked out and each one had been bought for a certain reason. Loki never bougth anything just becuase it was pretty or looked nice on. He was always worried about what other people thought and his clothing style was no different.
•Hopeless Romantic•
Loki is very much a hopeless romantic and even though he tries to hide it, he is never sure how good of a job he does at it. Cheesy pick up lines have always been a weakness or anything really that is cheesy in a romantic way is his weakness. Stuff like that always makes him weak at the knees and causes him to stutter madly and at times blush like a loon. Really it is quite sad how pathetic the boy is once a cheesy pick up line or some cheesy romantic thing is thrown into a conversation. His favorite movie is ten things I hate about you just becuase of all of the romantic stuff heath ledger does in it.
Background:
Loki Gatlin Kruger was born and raised in Germany. He loved Germany actually, unlike most teenagers who hated where they lived. Loki was always a very smart kid, picking up on things quickly and always wanting to learn something new. Loki was a very curious young kid throughout his life, never being spoiled or deprived of anything he lived a good life. Loki had never been the type of kid to break the rules or rebel against his parents’ wishes, so really he was just a good kid or a mama's boy or whatever you wanna call it. Loki has never been lonely, he was always with someone, he seemed to have an endless supply of friends and always making more. However, just like everyone else who have a lot of friends he had that small group that always seemed to be by his side no matter what.
Really the boy rarely spent time in his own house and nothing changed when he met Kitty. A confident and striking young man was what caught Loki's eye. He was charming and witty always keeping Loki on his toes without a doubt. He was a tease somewhat of a druggie, but Loki never had seen that side of Kitty. Never knowing about the drugs Loki was more than happy to accept the boy into his life. It only took a few months for Kitty to wiggle his way into Loki's heart and unfortunately for Loki, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Gatlin was spending a lot of time with Kitty, more so than his parents would have liked, as the time passed on they only seemed to get closer. Loki's parents made a few vain efforts in order to keep them apart. They made Loki spend more time with his horse and out at the stable where she was being kept at. Sure it worked for a while, but soon enough Kitty was making himself present at the barn. However, his parents had enough when Loki disappeared for two days and returned with blood covering his shirt and refusing to talk about it. His parents had no idea what to do, so they moved, it was quite simple really they just picked up and moved to the United States.
