#Who I am#
Shard is spunky and always alert (as mares generally are). She picks up her feet and is light and speedy. She can sense her rider's mood and sometimes adjusts to it, but if she doesn't trust the person on her back, she somehow finds a way to throw them into the dirt --no matter how advanced a rider they may be. Shard has intelligent eyes, and straight, forward ears. Sometimes she is too smart for her own good, figuring out the locks on stable doors and occasionally escaping and causing havoc. She also has a soft side. When her rider is quiet, she is too, waiting for the next instruction. If Sari, her rider, makes a big mistake, the chestnut mare neatly picks up her forelegs and slides Sari on the ground. Shard always wants to be the boss in the pastures, and will kick anyone or anything that gets in her way. Her jumping technique is actually quite odd. She pounds her back feet into the arena footing and then, with all the power behind her, she slinks over the jump-- quiet as a cat.
#Who I was#
A Single Shard was foaled in Florida. At the age of three she briefly stayed in Germany to learn the art of dressage. She was shipped back to Florida when a year had past. Her trainer, for fun, decided to try her at jumping. Shard was amazingly good at it to their surprise, and was taught cross-country and show jumping. Finally she reached the selling age, and after a tearful goodbye, was sold to Sari O'leary, who owns her currently.
