Romayne stood outside of the Office for a few moments, the hot sun warming her skin as she stared. She let out a quiet sigh and gripped the cool handle of the door. When the door opened, the cool air conditioned air blew across her face; it was very refreshing. She walked uncertainly to the front desk, where a women sat behind it, her fingers flying over the keys. The quick tapping noises were slightly irritating to Romy but she continued her walk to the desk.
When she neared the women, she hesitated, then cleared her throat. "Umm, hello. My name is Romayne Thatcher and I'm new to the academy." The corners of Romayne's mouth were pulled upward in a small but polite smile. Speaking to new people always made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

A plump black woman sat behind the desk. She had been very busy lately, especially with all the new arrivals. She was glad Zack showed up when he did, the young man was busy dusting the shelves and watering the live palms in the corner. Normally Betty kept the office clean, and to her standards. Her brown eyes would glance over at him every now and then, to see his progress and make sure he was careful with some of the horse figurines.
Zack Bradley let out a small sigh as he picked up a horse figurine from the shelf. His ember eyes studied it for a moment. It was a figurine by the 'Painted Pony' series. He wiped the dust off of it with a cloth, then reached up and wiped off the ebony oak top where it rested. He carefully set it back down just as the door opened. A blonde walked through. He had seen a lot of them running around the school, but couldn't place her. Judgeing by her shy nature, she was probably new.
Betty looked up from her desk as a girl spoke. A sweet smile gracened her face, "Welcome to the academy Romayne, we are delighted to have you," her melodic voice filled the room. She looked over at a chair against the wall, "If you would like, you can take a seat over there while I pull up your inteneray," a smile never leaving her face.

Romayne eyed the young man who seemed to be tidying the small and already neat office. She quickly looked away when he looked over, feeling a blush rising on her cheeks; she was going to have a very hard time trying to adjust to this place. She let out a quiet, sad sigh and waited patiently for the women to look up from the computer. She felt a little bit more comfortable at the warm smile that greeted her. "Welcome to the academy Romayne, we are delighted to have you," Romy smiled politely and said, "Thank you very much,"
Romy turned to look at the chairs the women was talking about and nodded. "Sure," she murmured. She walked quickly over to the few chairs lined up against the wall and sat down on one placed in the middle. If she hadn't cared about being rude, she would've sat down on the one at the very end. However, her polite attitude sometimes interfered with her very shy nature and most of the time it won, but it just made her seem very awkward to most people.
