Horse Number One
The first horse in this second part of the mid-year auction is a black Irish Sport Horse mare by the name of Gormlaith. Gormlaith is about fifteen point two hands and seven years old. She was born and raised on a breeding ranch for warmblood show-jumping horses. Her breaking was routine and went on without a problem. She’s been shown off and on, and her personality has been willing and reliable over the medium show jumps at the Intermediate level, but go any higher and she becomes shy. She seems gentle enough, and rather quiet and not exactly outspoken. She seems like a “go with the flow” kind of mare, which is unusual for her gender. She’ll need a rider that can boost her confidence and draw her out of her shell. SOLD TO CATHLEEN VAKA

Horse Number TwoThis palomino gelding of five years old is an American Quarter horse bred on a top notch Hawaiian breeding ranch. His bloodline is impressive and he is currently used as a halter horse, though he could be trained in either English or Western riding. Ironically, this horse has a “surfer dude” attitude. He’s pretty much cool about everything and it doesn’t much mind anything you do to him. You could try to ride him upside down on his neck and he’d be fine with it. He’s a friendly creature and loves to meet people. At his old ranch, he was a popular horse for kids to play with, from his calm nature and sweet affection. Oh, and his registered name is Konani. He’s fifteen point three hands. SOLD TO CHUCK BASS

Horse Number ThreeNaira's Picture(The image isn't being cooperative, so, here's a link!)This fifteen hand paint mustang mare is a product of a tame breeding herd of mustang horses on a Native American reserve. Her name is Naira, and she’s a curious eleven year old horse. She’s been used to herd the cattle on the reserve, and her owners had a fourteen year old son who took her to some cutting, penning, and roping competitions. She’s a bit of a rebel at times, and can be a horse with attitude, but she’s an overall willing companion. Just be prepared for her to test you and push your buttons.SOLD TO EVANGELINE REEVES

Horse Number FourThis sad sixteen point three hand grey Thoroughbred gelding is called Keshet. At fourteen, this gelding has led a long, harsh life. He was raced until he was five, and had a somewhat successful career, with ups and downs, nothing anything different than the average racing horse. After his racing days were over, Keshet was sold. He was given to a kind women who loved him dearly for five years. She kept him happy along with three other retired Thoroughbreds. Then, one day, the woman’s husband suddenly turned to drink. The woman was abused, and so were her horses. For four years, Keshet was hit, slapped, starved, whipped, and abused horribly by the man. Now, he’s terrified of men. Keshet was trained by his former owner, the sweet woman, for dressage riding. Amazingly, even though he’s been through so much, Keshet is a trusting and loving gelding. At least, to women. He’s deathly afraid of men though. SOLD TO ADDISON MORELLO

Horse Number FiveThis lovely sixteen hand Cleveland Bay stallion is about nine years old, and trained for eventing, though cross country is his weak spot, as he isn’t fond of mud and water. That’s right, Tammaro is probably the only horse on earth who hates being dirty. He loves attention and as long as he is the center of all talk and all attention, he’s a happy camper. A very conceited stallion, isn’t he? He’s also a huge show off. SOLD TO GINNY LOWERY

Horse Number SixThis hardy fourteen point three hand black pony gelding is known around the sales ring as Guntram. He’s a tough little cross country horse and has a lot of fire in him. This “pony” is a cross of a Welsh and Thoroughbred. His history is mostly of him being the experiment to see how the cross would do in the eventing world before his owner’s stable’s went out of business. He’s about six years old. SOLD TO ANNABELLE BLACK

Horse Number SevenThis is a dressage mare of ten years old, built to a frame of sixteen point one hands and of liver chestnut coloring. She is a purebred Selle Francias, and is called Clotilde. Her dressage training has extended to about halfway into the advanced level and her manners? Not the best. She’s the classic mare... Irritable and moody, and definitely not the picture perfect animal for a child. Her owner will have a lot of attitude to deal with.SOLD TO EVANGELINE REEVES

Horse Number Eightis an Oldenburg gelding, measured at sixteen point three hands, and aged to be around twelve. His dressage career could be very successful, as his former owner was a girl who evented him in Advanced dressage, until she grew bored of him. Horea isn’t a boring animal, though, with his dominant personality, confidence, and smooth gait. He’s a horse who loves a challenge, but also welcomes friends. He’s serious, but playful, and is often called a contradiction, from his different attitude outside and inside of the show ring. SOLD TO CHUCK BASS

Horse Number NineThis cremello Dutch warmblood gelding of six years is a quirky fellow. He’s very specific about the conditions he works in and can be feisty and unwilling if forced to perform in conditions he doesn’t approve of. His name is Erling, and he is trained in dressage and measures up to fifteen point two hands. SOLD TO DAVINA KEELEY

Horse Number TenAudhild is a yearling Norwegian Fjord filly. She’s obviously untrained, and can be turned to any discipline. She’s full of spirit and hardy nature, and has a will as strong as a wall, and can be described as hard-headed. Her trainer will have a difficult time breaking her, it seems. SOLD TO CATHLEEN VAKA

Chuck parked the car in a space big enough for both the truck and the trailer. He had decided that he will be leaving with a horse at the end of the day, no matter what. he was also looking for a horse that Melissa, his daughter, might like. A smallish Western horse, that she could train herself. If he could find a horse like that. He walked into the yard, and there were several horses that caught his eye, but he would judge fairly.
Chuck exuded an air of superiority and wealth. This is what he lived for, horses. There were many at the yard that day, but he found what he was looking for almost immediately. A palomino gelding that looked about 5, was standing in his pen with a no-care attitude. It was pretty funny, but he had a build of a western horse. Chuck looked for the owner, and indicated that he was interested, and that he would be back. So he had found Melissa's horse, but now for his own.
He walked around the yard again, nothing really catching his eye, until he saw that large black gelding. The info sheet said he was a Oldenburg, good breeding, and a good age too. Advanced dressage, and could go far. Perfect, with a good personality too. Chuck would easily be spending over $2000 in one shot for both horses. But it was worth it.

Bella had decided to spend the day with her twin at the auction house. Not that she was looking for another horse, but she just wanted to see them. Thankfully she had Andrew with her, almost like her safety blanket. Then she say a grey, bone thin and broken down. Tears welled in her eyes, as she saw, and Andrew just looked disgusted.
The owner didn't seem to care about the little gelding, and it horrified her. Andrew...I need to help him. I just need to. Stay here. He merely nodded. She walked over to the fence of the pen, and the grey gave her a glance. He had a friendly eye, and stumbled up to her. So he did trust females, she read in the info sheet. Hey boy she whispered. A horrible condition for a horse, and he was still trusting, but no matter what Bella thought, she just couldn't take on another horse at the moment.

Cat decided to take a look at the auction horses. When she got there she found a program near the front entrance. Looking over the infomation she started walking. She heard some people talking and she just happened to catch the end of there words. "The mare isnt built for anything. She's just simply ugly and two shy to make a real horse." Cat glared at the two men and walked right past then making sure that she made it obvious she heard.
Coming up to the arena she spotted a dark brown mare about average size for a horse. Long legs, but still muscle on them. She had a fairly large head but it seemed to match her body. She had been well worked in the past and your could tell. Cat climbed over the fence and approached the mare. The black mare was calm and when Cat got close to her she walked right to her. He coat was soft and healthy. The mare herself was adorable. The buyer by then had walked over. Cat turned to him and sighed. "How much do you want for her??" She asked. She watched the seller think before he answered. "1,200" He said. Cat looked at the horse. "1,000 thats as high as im going." She said. The seller looked at her then to the crowd then back. "Deal shes yours." He said handing her a halter and lead. Cat quikly put the halter on the mare and led her out of the arena.
They had almost completed the long walk through the rest of the auction and nothing seemed to catch her eye untill they came by the last horse. It was a yearling filly a Norweigan Fjord. Cat pushed through the people eager to get this mare. She waved the buyer over quikly. "I will give you 1,200 right now if I can take her home." She said. The buyer thought about it but quikly accepted the offer he led the filly to the gate and handed the lead to her... It was a long walk back to the academy.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - CAN WE PRETEND THAT AIRPLANES IN THE NIGHT SKY ARE LIKE SHOOTING STARS CAUSE I COULD REALLY USE A WISH RIGHT NOW - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Addison walked through the action with a sparkle in her eye. She loved actions another chance to get more horses. She knew she had to pick carefully considering she could only have what five horses? Addy already had the two that she brought from home, a big Black Gelding Thoroughbred named Devils Out Tonight, or Tazz for short. Then She had a Black and White Paint mare Quarter Horse Named Cross my Heart or Diamond. She loved them so much Tazz was a handful though being very skittish around men. Although Diamond was easy to care for she loved everyone that would give her a treat.
Addison shoved her hands in her jean pockets as she passed people looking at the first horse, a Black Irish Sport Horse Mare. She was very beautiful and Addy over heard someone saying that she was a good jumper. As she walked on she passed A Quarter horse gelding and a Paint mustang mare. Finally one caught her eye and it was sad sight to. No one was looking at the poor horse that stood in the corner of a fenced in area eyes wide with fear. He was a gray Thoroughbred a magnificent animal, though you would wonder why no one was around him. The reason was he was scars and sores all over him especially on his legs.
The sores were starting to heal but in this heat insects threatened to infect his wounds. Addison let herself into the area slowly approaching the Thoroughbred with hand toward him. He was scared but women didn't scare him as much as men it seemed and he let her get near his. Addy rubbed between his ears, He needed to be groomed something awful. That isn't the best choice miss Said a female voice from the fence line, We have other horses that are in much better condition if you would like to come with me Addison's eyes shot towards the lady, "How much for him?" She said with a agitation in her voice. Usually she was shy but when it came to an abused horse she couldn't keep herself under control. The lady sighed, in the shape he's in 300
"I'll take him " She said ripping the lead rope from her hands to clip onto his soiled halter. Addy knew she would have a lot of work to do once she got back to the stable. She didn't care. She lead him away doing her best to avoid getting around men which she was familiar with by having Tazz. By the time she got back to her truck and loaded the new horse up the evening sun was starting to glow. She got into her truck hoping that this horse was going to be okay before heading back to Academy stable. D.avina K.eeley Why did she need another horse? Davina thought about that the drive over. The only answer she could come up with was because her dad had money, and she could afford one. Her new truck and dazzleing trailer parked out a ways from the building. She didn't want to risk the chance of someone banging her vehicle up. She stepped out of the truck, flipflops showing off her painted toenails and red heart tattoo on her foot. She grabbed her purse and locked the truck. It's lights flashed behind her as she walked to the building.
The seventeen year old wasn't sure what kind of horse she was looking for. But, when she saw it, she would know. First walking in, her brunette hair surrounder her in a wind-blown way. She removed the aviaters from her face and stuffed them in her purse. She passed by several horses, but none seem to catch her eye. But then, farther down, she saw a white tail. Scurrying down to the pen, she stopped in a breath-taking moment as she laid eyes on a cremello gelding. His head turned to her, his blue orbs looking her over, almost as if she was good enough for him. Davina read over his paper and smiled to herself at the similarities. Though she wasn't fond of dressage, she could turn him into a jumper, with help. Ms. Carr was supposedly good at stuff like that. Truth be told, Davina had no interest in training, she loved riding and bonding.
A stern looking woman approched them, "I see Erling catches your eye."
Davina turned in surprise, "Yes, he is beautiful."
"Looks aren't everything. He has talent for dressage, I wouldn't want that to be wasted at his new home."
The seventeen year old straigtened her shoulders in self defense, "I attened the riding academy. Your gelding will not be wasted." ...in some things anyway.
"I'll take $2,000 for him."
"Deal." Davina didn't even try to come down on the price, this woman was hard enough to be around if she did nothing but breathe. She was like a bull following you around, breathing down your neck making you feel uncomfortable.
