Background: Lizzie was born in Tennessee. She lived there for the first three years of her life Then she moved Pennsylvainia, where she lived for another two years. Then she moved to Philedelphia, so she could ride in pony races. When Lizzie was five, her dream came to her. She wanted to be a jockey. She started out on a Palomino Welsh Mountain Pony called Dream. Dream was a lovely mare, and she took care of all her students well. Lizzie began riding a few days later. A few weeks later, Lizzie was off leadrein, already galloping around the fields with Scarlett, the owner of the riding school who was on her Bay Welsh Cob, Billy. One day when she was three, her father died in a car crash, along with her Aunty Lynda, Uncle Dave, and Little Sister, Meg. Lizzie began riding a few days later.A Year later, Lizzie was still effected by the tragic losses, but entered Dream in a pony race with Scarlett's permission. All the other ponies were around 12.3hh - 13.2hh, and Dream was 11.3hh. Dream leapt to the lead at the start of the five furlong race. Then all the other ponies overtook as Lizzie held Dream back. In the final furlong, they stormed from the back of the pack to win by a length to a 13.2hh chestnut gelding called Booper. A few years later, Lizzie was diagnose with hip dystocia. This meant she needed her legs shortened by two inches, and an artificial hip put in each side. This hasn't affected Lizzie. A week later, she was back in the saddle, on her new thoroughbred gelding Star. He was black with a white star. She is now 23, at Blue Ridge, racing Star in jump races.
