[/b] he beamed, pulling her into a bear hug and then leaving her go to get back to the trailer. She watched as he closed all the doors, and then waved when he climbed into the cab of the box. She waved as he drove down the driveway too, knowing he couldn't see her, but would also be waving too. She looked at Oscar, who had calmed slightly and planted a kiss on his broad cheek. She pulled on his lead rope and he followed, slowly and not a surely as he had when he had left the box, but at least he was trying. Thyme kept himself glued to Oscar's leg, his soft fur brushing against the nervous brute with every step. They got to the entrance of the barn, and Oscar pulled to a halt. Remii knew she would have to let him scope it out before they went any further, so she moved in front of him and caressed his starred cranium, soothing him with a gentle expression and a kiss on his muzzle every now and then. She could be here for twenty minutes, she could be here for three hours. How ever long it would take, she didn't care. She had all day, and Oscar was her priority right now, nothing else. Flax was fine, already claiming his stall as his. Thyme was happy to just lounge in the mid day sun outside the barn. She smiled softly at the dark bay once more, assuring him that there was no rush, and to take his time. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]She had been dismissed from the office, not that they had checked in yet, but Miss Rodgers said she would sort that out. Remii sprinted toward White Oak barn, still clutching her plush giraffe and Thyme bounded excitedly at her side. The form of Jerry's horse box came into view and she picked up speed once again. She flew to a skidding halt just beside the waiting Jerry, whom jumped out of his skin. She chuckled childishly, and then watched as Thyme thumped into the wheel of the trailer, obviously unable to stop quick enough. Her chest heaved as she choked out a burst of laugher, and then more when he looked around in astonishment. She glanced up to Jerry, seeing that he too was laughing, but then straightened up. She could hear Flax throwing his hoof against the trailer, his vocals getting more and more agitated. She sighed, and looked to Jerry once more. He nodded and turned to open the door to the trailer. He seemed to have to physically psych himself up to do so.
The trailer door seemed to open eerily, the creak of the un-oiled hinges unnerving the two humans. A rump instantly backed towards them, only being stopped by the lead rope that attached the gelding to the wall. She sighed, knowing she would have to be the one to untie the lead ropes. Her frame straightened up, she lifted her head high and signaled for Thyme to sit. She walked up the ramp, placing a dainty hand on Oscar's rump. The thoroughbred cross snorted slightly, looking over his shoulder to see his mistress coming. He relaxed instantly, his dark bay shoulders slumping in relief. Remii made no attempt to speak to them, she didn't have to. She just had to make eye contact. She squeezed her way past Oscar, trusting him more to be able to. His muzzle pressed into the back of her head as she appeared in reach, a greeting he always liked to use. She beamed at the gentle beast, and then turned her attention to the agitated Flax. The chestnut looked at her with distaste, obviously resenting her for leaving him for so long. She sighed, offering out her hand to him. He pulled his cranium up higher, his audits pinning against his narrow neck. She rolled her eyes, deciding to back Oscar out of the box first, knowing he would be the more nervous when they got into the barn, but to get out of the box he would be fine.
She busied herself with untying the lead rope which Oscar was attached to. The still rather skinny gelding backed out slowly, but surely. She knew he wasn't going to play up. The thing with these two, is that they were both abused. Oscar still had a little more weight to gain, but he was doing well. Flax had come along in leaps and bounds, his cuts all healed and both had been shod a number of times. But, Flax resented humans, he held many grudges. Oscar didn't, this is what made him such an easy horse. Remii had never met such a forgiving, sweet equine. She turned Oscar so that he could see the barn, and also Jerry. His frame began to tremble slightly, but Remii pressed her side into his fore leg. This calmed him, but his oracles were still wide with fear. Her lips pursed as she tried to not let herself cry, she hated seeing Oscar like this. He had done this when she first bought him, he wouldn't move from the horse boxes side for half a day. But, at least she had Jerry's help this time, and now Oscar trusted her, this would be much easier with that component.
She handed the lead rope to Jerry, who instantly began to make a fuss of Oscar to calm him. The man also looked extremely relieved that he didn't have to handle Flax, as the pair didn't see eye to eye. Remii made her way back into the trailer, untying the lead rope that belonged to the chestnut. He stood rock still as she tried to back him. His cranium dropped so they could look each other in the eyes. It would be a battle of will. The Arabian glanced quickly over his shoulder to his companion, and then back at Remii. She pressed against his chest once again, but he moved forward. She became trapped against the back wall of the box, but it didn't faze her. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, just try to intimidate her. It wasn't working, and he could tell. He backed up and began to pull her out of the trailer. As soon as his hooves hit the gravel ground, he grunted and turned to face Jerry and Oscar. Thyme appeared behind Oscar, his docked tail wagging at the sight of Flax. Thyme adored Flax, and Flax despised Thyme. The gelding pinned his audits and sent his cranium out toward the canine. Thyme just dropped his fore body into a playful stance, ears lifted and facing forward, making him look like a puppy once again, just 20 times bigger. This made both Remii and Jerry chuckle in unison. Even if Flax did hate Thyme, he still saw him as a source of comfort. Just like he did with Oscar.
Remii turned to look at Jerry, her eyebrows raised and nodding slightly. Jerry sighed, knowing the challenge that faced the pair trying to get the horses, namely Flax, inside their stalls. Jerry once again praised the lord that he had Oscar, preferring to deal with the sweet bay. Remii picked up into a walk, refusing to look at Flax as he seemed to follow when she didn't. His strides were confident, yet his oracles held a flash of fear. Remii cooed nonsense, not even proper words, to sooth him. His audits flickered toward her, nickering softly as if to tell her thank you. She smiled, patting his well toned neck. She got him over the thresh hold to the barn with little trouble. This surprised her. She cast a glance around to Oscar. He hadn't got very far, obviously frozen with fear. She knew she would have to go and get him in herself, but first for Flax. She led the gelding up the barn, looking for a stall door that had his show name printed on it. I'll Get By caught her eye quickly, and she smiled. It was all clean and set, even a hay net in the corner. Perfect. At least she wouldn't have to worry about filling up a water bucket, nor have to rush to get him some food. She opened up the stall, making Flax back with her as she walked. She liked to do this with both Oscar and Flax, a sort of manners thing. The gelding hesitated as she tried to lead him into the stall, his head cocked in a unsure manner. He snorted warily, but then followed her inside. He scoped out the room slowly, but she could see him visibly relaxing. Both stalls either side of him were empty, and the left would be Oscar's. Good. That had been the only thing she had requested, having the pair beside one another. She took the head collar from the brute, lifting up a hand that told him to stay as she left the stall. He did, and then turned to rip at his hay net.
Remii raced back to Oscar, Jerry and Thyme after locking Flaxes stall door. Oscar was still froze to the spot, so Remii got into close proximity with him. She looked at Jerry, opening her mouth to speak. This would probably be the only time she would speak today. You can go now Jerry, I'll take it from here. See you in a couple of weeks. Her words were rushed, but he didn't mind. Jerry nodded, handing the lead rope to the girl and ruffling her dark locks like he had at the office. Alright sweetheart. Remember to call me if there is any trouble, I'll get up here as soon as possible.
